Chapter 9
Chapter 9 Drink Water and Take Medicine
After arriving home, Anaya called Aracely.
“Aracely, can you ask Winston to introduce me to a fighting coach? I’ll learn how to fight tomorrow!”
Aracely was lying in bed with a facial mask on. “Why do you want to learn to fight?”
“I want to hit someone.”
Next time I won’t let Joshua force me.
On Saturday morning, Anaya and Aracely gathered at the gym.
This gym was backed by Winston. Anaya was Aracely’s friend, so Winston introduced Anaya to the best fighting coach.
The first day was to practice basic skills and there was a lot of physical training.
Aracely watched Anaya practice and thought she was tired.
Winston came over to Aracely and Anaya and brought them some food.
Anaya drank an energy drink and continued her training.
Aracely let Winston sit down and watched Anaya train.
Winston opened the drink and handed it to Aracely. She took a sip and asked, “Mom said that you are on a blind date recently. Do you have a girl you like?”
“No, they don’t match me.”
“That’s good.”
“Why?” Winston was a little surprised.
“If you get married, my parents will definitely urge me to get married. Now they are concerned about your marriage, so they ignore me.”
When Winston heard this, he laughed.
Aracely giggled and leaned over to touch Winston’s shoulder. “What kind of girl do you like? Maybe I can introduce my friend to you.”
“No, I already have someone.”
“Who? How long have you liked her?”
“I’ve liked her for eight years.”
“I didn’t even know this! Eight years… Did you know her before you came to the Tarleton family?”
At the age of sixteen, when Winston’s parents died in an accident, he had been living with the Tarleton family. Over the years, Aracely’s parents had always treated him as their own child. They even asked him to manage the company.
In Aracely’s memory, Winston seldom liked a girl for such a long time. So she thought he might have known the girl before he came to the Tarleton family. Contentt bel0ngs to N0ve/lDrâ/ma.O(r)g!
Winston smiled but did not speak. He stood up and touched Aracely’s head.
“I still have something to do. There is a restaurant in the opposite mall. You can go to eat some food at noon.”
“Alright.” Aracely didn’t ask Winston what happened between him and the girl.
After Anaya’s morning training, Anaya and Aracely went to the shopping mall opposite.
When they passed by the jewelry store, a middle–aged woman stopped Anaya.
he woman was wearing a brown chiffon shirt and a pair of straight black pants with a silk scarf on her neck. She ooked elegant.
“Mrs. Maltz.” Anaya stopped.
She was already prepared to divorce Joshua, so she didn’t call Cecilia mother.
Cecilia walked out of the store, followed by Lexie.
Anaya raised her eyebrows.
Before she and Joshua divorced, Lexie had come to curry favor with Cecilia.
Cecilia stopped in front of Anaya and said arrogantly, “Joshua said that you had gone back to your parents‘ home. What happened?”
Cecilia had gone on a vacation and did not know that Anaya and Joshua were going to divorce.
Joshua did not tell Cecilia about this, and Anaya only said, “It’s my business, not yours.”
“You are very impolite to me.” Cecilia was unhappy.
She had always disliked Anaya.
Anaya married Joshua with a dowry of 800 million dollars. Cecilia’s friends said that it was all thanks to Anaya that
the Maltz family could solve the difficulty, and thought that Cecilia didn’t make as much contribution to the Maltz
family as Anaya did.
When Anaya just married Joshua, she had many bad habits and was impolite.
Cecilia had made a lot of rules for Anaya. Anaya was obedient and did not resist her. Anaya even greeted her cautiously.
Anaya is impolite to me. How dare she do this to me after she comes back to her parents‘ home?
Thinking of this, Cecilia became even more unhappy and scolded Anaya, “You have married Joshua. You can’t go back
to your parents‘ home at will. If people know this, they will think Joshua treats you badly.”
“If there’s nothing else, I’ll be leaving first,” Anaya looked at Cecilia indifferently and said impatiently.
“Wait!” Cecilia stopped Anaya. “We just happened to meet today. Come with me to the hospital.”
“Are you sick? You should drink water and take medicine. Goodbye.”
“I want to take you to the doctor! You and Joshua have been married for a year, but you haven’t been pregnant yet. I
suspect you have infertility.” Cecilia was furious with Anaya’s words.
“I have infertility?” Anaya said with a smile, “Mrs. Maltz, I want to tell you a secret.”
“What?”
Anaya said in Cecilia’s ear, “Anaya has erectile dysfunction.”
“Really?” Cecilia was shocked.
Anaya smiled meaningfully. “I don’t know the specifics. Anyway, he can’t have an erection in front of me. Why don’t
you ask Lexie?”
When Lexie heard this, she looked bad. Cecilia questioned, “What does this have to do with Lexie?
Anava didn‘t explain and was ready to leave. “Mrs. Maltz, my friend and I are hungry, so we‘re going to leave. If you
vanta grandson, you can ask Joshua.”
After Anaya left, Cecilia quickly realized what she meant.
Cecilia was not a fool. Not long after Anaya moved out, Lexie returned to the United States and invited her out to shop...
“Lexie, you should explain it to me.” Cecilia looked at Lexic.
Lexie bit her lips and did not say anything,
After the meeting, Joshua saw Cecilia waiting for him in the office.
He closed the door. “Mom, why are you here?”
“I heard that you want to divorce Anaya?” Cecilia took a sip of coffee.
“Who told you? Anaya?” Joshua paused for a moment.
He thought that Anaya didn‘t want to divorce him, so let Cecilia persuade him.
“Lexie told me this.” Cecilia put down the coffee cup. “Lexie is a good girl. I know that you like her, but you can‘t divorce Anaya.
“Back then, we borrowed 800 million dollars from the Dutt family. Although we have already paid them back, everyone knows they helped us. If you divorce Anaya, people will scold us.
“Although I don‘t like Anaya, I know she really loves you. Don‘t divorce her, and let her move back.”
“It‘s not that I want to divorce her,” Joshua said as he sat down beside Cecilia.
“What? Could it be that she wants to divorce you?” Cecilia asked in disbelief.
Joshua didn‘t say a word and acquiesced.
They were silent for a while before Cecilia asked with a frown, “Did Anaya propose to divorce you?”
“Yes.”
“It‘s impossible...” Cecilia was shocked.
Everyone knew that Anaya loved Joshua very much.
When Anaya pursued Joshua, she sent him flowers, gifts, and breakfast every day, and she tried everything to make him happy.
She seemed to want to give Joshua all she had.
Even when the Maltz family was in trouble and no one helped it, she lent 800 million dollars to Joshua without hesitation and did not even make an IOU.
Although Cecilia did not like Anaya, she knew Joshua must have let Anaya downı.
Otherwise, Anaya would not divorce Joshua. After all, she loved him very much.
“What did you do to her?” Cecilia frowned.
For the first time, Joshua felt distressed. “I did nothing.”
He paused for a moment and added, “I splashed her a glass of water. But I did it because she broke the watch Lexie gave me.”
Lexie? You have been in contact with her in the past few years when she was abroad.”
“Yes.”
“Anaya is your wife. How can you have an affair with Lexie?” Cecilia was displeased.
“I love Lexie. I can’t forget her.”
“What about Anaya?”
Joshua wanted to say he didn’t like Anaya at all.
But he hesitated.
He did not know whether he loved Anaya or not.
Anaya offered to divorce Joshua, but he didn’t want to agree.
Joshua didn’t know how he felt about Anaya. Maybe he just wanted to own her.
Cecilia stood up, “Joshua, you should remember how our family fell apart. If your father hadn’t fallen in love with another woman, he wouldn’t have abandoned us.
“I don’t agree with you to divorce Anaya. Tonight, you must pick Anaya up with me!
“And don’t contact Lexie.”
Joshua was speechless.
“Did you hear me?”
Joshua did not reply.
He was unwilling to pick Anaya up because he didn’t want to lose his face.
He would rather choose to divorce Anaya.
Cecilia said angrily, “If you don’t go, I’ll break up with you!”
Joshua opened his mouth but did not say anything. After a long while, he reluctantly nodded.
