Nathalie's smile was as bright as a summer bloom. "Cameron, I get that losing the contract has you all twisted up. But don't pin your bad mood on me-snapping at me like some mad dog isn't cool."

Cameron lunged at Nathalie like a lion on the hunt. Just as his hands were about wrap around her throat, Dominick stepped in, seized Cameron's hand, and twisted it back. A sharp crack echoed through the room as Cameron's hand broke.

"Nathalie, don't you get it? Losing this contract leaves Dawson International in the dust. How could you be so heartless? How could you—"

Nathalie, feeling pretty smug, fiddled with her freshly painted nails, not even bothering to look up. Her voice dripped with disdain. "Cameron, we were married once, and back then, I couldn't bring myself to be this harsh. But when you made me your ex-wife, called me a worn-out shoe, and treated me like second-hand goods, you drained what little affection I had left. Now, seeing you hit rock bottom, I can't help but feel pretty darn pleased."

"You're terrifying. Nathalie, you've lost the sweet kindness you once had. You've turned cold and heartless. It'll catch up with you one day," Cameron shot back.

Nathalie, stung by his words, flared up, "Back when I was kind and naive, what did I get? You took my kidney, stole my innocence, and snatched away my husband. You milked my kindness to keep your precious darling alive and your sinking company afloat. Now that I'm no longer the good girl, and you can't leech off me, you blame me for being cold and ruthless?"

"Didn't you push me to become this way, Cameron?"

With that, Nathalie strutted off triumphantly.
