Chapter 154
Juliet glanced over to see a cold and lonely expression on Elvis's face. What was he back for?
Elvis pushed the door open and naturally spotted Juliet coming out of the bathroom. He held a box of band-aids and placed it on the glass table. Without pausing, he left.
After Juliet had rolled under the sofa the previous night, he had detected a hint of blood in the air without any asking. Being in his line of work, he was too sensitive to that particular scent.
Seeing Elvis's behavior and not being able to clearly see what he was holding from a distance, Juliet found it puzzling. Upon getting closer, she discovered it was a box of band-aids.
What a strange guy!
Taking the band-aids, Juliet followed him outside. "Elvis, want to grab some food together?" she shouted, out of pure gratitude. She didn't like owing people favors, and she was feeling quite hungry anyway.
"I'm busy," Elvis walked on without looking back.
"Aren't you the type who rests during the day and works at night?" Juliet hopped into the elevator with Elvis, continuing. "Come on! At least we spent the night together."
Elvis gave her a cold glance, still merciless. "I have no time."
"Why do you have to be like this!" Every time Elvis acted this way, Juliet felt her temper rising.
The daytime at Septem Nightclub retreated from the nighttime frenzy and noise, unexpectedly quiet.
Elvis and Juliet descended from the elevator. They found a sight that was rarely seen. Even the usually bustling first floor was devoid of anyone at this moment.
Following Elvis out of the door, Juliet realized that it was already late. It was well into noon.
A man in black standing outside opened the door for Elvis. Before the man could react, Juliet slipped in. She smiled at Elvis and said, "Let me treat you to a meal as a thank you for the band-aids you gave me."
"Mr. Cabello?" The man in black asked about Elvis's intentions.
"We go." After Elvis uttered the command, he turned his head to the other side, gazing coldly out of the car window. The man in black closed the door and sat back in the driver's seat.
"Do you feel like having Chinese cuisine, Western food, or Friyxian dishes, Elvis?" Excited and lively, Juliet sat in the car as if she had woken up energized from her nap.
As if anticipating Elvis's lack of response, Juliet said to the man in black, "Let's head to Golden Pavilion directly."
The man glanced at Elvis through the rearview mirror and, seeing no objection, inferred that Juliet's suggestion was accepted. At the next intersection, he turned towards the destination she mentioned.
"Hey handsome, what's your name?" Juliet casually tapped the front seat, inquiring.
The man's hand trembled, nearly losing grip of the steering wheel. He glanced at the rearview mirror and found that Elvis had no reaction. Breaking out in a cold sweat, he forced a smile, saying, "Just call me Liam, Ms. Klein."
"Great! Let's go have a meal together later!" Since she was already treating one person, adding one would make it livelier. Elvis was too aloof and rarely spoke. He wasn't interesting enough.
Liam said in embarrassment, "No need, Ms. Klein."
Having been by Elvis's side for so many years, Liam had never eaten with him, who was always as cold as ice. He was too afraid to even consider having a meal together.
"No worries at all," Juliet said.
"There's no need, Ms. Klein. Really," answered Liam.
The black Cayenne parked at the entrance of the Golden Pavilion. Juliet didn't insist and got out of the car first.
"Elvis, let's go!" Juliet said as she looked at Elvis through the car window. After a moment's contemplation, Elvis eventually decided to step out of the
car.
Elvis had long, evenly proportioned legs that looked slender and sharp in his black trousers.
As Liam watched Elvis enter the restaurant with Juliet, he was not only surprised but also delighted.
In all the time he had spent with Elvis, he had never seen another girl appear by his side more than twice, let alone dine together. There had been many women who tried to flirt with Elvis, but it never progressed beyond that.
Seeing Elvis with a girl was actually nice. At least he wouldn't be alone wherever he went. It was usually just Carlos and Kashton who could get close to him. Carlos was already married, and Kashton always went after women. Now, Elvis had a bit of his own personal life. With these thoughts in mind, Liam parked the car on the side.
Juliet and Elvis stepped into the restaurant. The simple lofty style gave off a very classy vibe. The enthusiastic staff inside greeted them warmly, "Hello. A table for how many people?"
"Two, and I want a big table please." Juliet gestured with a two with her fingers.
"No problem, ma'am," the server answered.
The server led Juliet and Elvis towards the interior. "Ma'am, does this seating arrangement suit you?" the server asked with a smile. The table set for four looked quite spacious.
Juliet nodded. "I'd like to see the menu, please."
Juliet and Elvis took their seats.
Juliet looked over the menu and started by ordering a few drinks she liked and some appetizers. "Be as quick as possible, please," Juliet told the server. She was truly hungry, feeling like she could devour a whole cow right now.
She then handed the menu to Elvis.

She had already planned it as soon as they entered. She would tell her dad once they got home that she treated Elvis to dinner today and he could probably pay. Perhaps she could even get some extra money.
Ever since the incident with Xavier last time, her dad had always considered Elvis a benefactor.
Elvis flipped through the menu and casually selected two signature dishes before handing the menu back to the server.
"Alright, sir, ma'am, please wait a moment," the server said.
"Excuse me, where is the restroom?" Juliet asked.
"Ma'am, go straight and take a left. It's right over there," the server took the menu and showed her the right direction.
"Thank you!" With that, Juliet left her bag on the chair and headed towards the restroom.
When Juliet emerged from the restroom, all the dishes she ordered were already served except for the two main dishes. Elvis had already begun eating without waiting for her.
"You really have no manners, not even waiting for me for a moment," Juliet grumbled as she sat down.
Elvis naturally exuded a cold demeanor from within. During the meal, Juliet received either minimal responses or no responses at all while talking to him.
Juliet was chatty, but this time she felt extremely stifled.
"What's wrong with you, Elvis? Are you sick? How can your hand always be so icy cold?" Juliet, having stuffed herself with a bit of food, curiously asked.
She was aware that a woman with
perennially cold hands and feet might have some sort of uterine coldness issue. But with men, although she didn't frequently touch Elvis's hands, the two times she did, they were bone-chillingly cold. It was indeed very strange.
In her memories, her dad's large hands had always been warm when holding hers. Her cousin, Xavier, also had warm hands, not to mention Brantley's. The hands of the household servant were also warm.
