Chapter 4: IV
Childish gambino- Redbone
Haven had to be honest she hated the feeling she had in the pit of her stomach. She felt like Beau was
implanted in her head, She could still feel his lingering lips on her cheek.
He was a distraction she didn't want in her life, she felt as though he would corrupt her with things she
didn't want.
She just couldn't understand what he would want with her, he seemed like he could do better, those
were her thoughts when her insecurities crept up on her.
She hated the feeling but it felt good to say it in some way because it would distance herself away from
him.
He was a tempting boy she couldn't deny that, but then again she new there was something off about NôvelDrama.Org owns this text.
him. She could tell he was miserable, but that had to be visible to anyone who looked his way.
Haven completely lost thought when Beau walk into class late. His hair was up as usual, leather jacket
and combat boots. She felt herself freeze while her heart beat increased making her annoyed how
simple boy could have such affect on her. She wasn't surprised to feel his eyes on her. Does he have
no shame? She asked herself. Obviously not if he kept doing it. She felt stupid for answering her own
question in her head.
She rolled her eyes in irritation going back to her incomplete worksheet. She had spent the whole class
staring at her unfinished worksheet trying to be unfazed of his stare. She always wondered what he
thought when her look at her. Was it disgust? No it couldn't be then why would he kiss her, she felt a
migraine coming on just thinking about it. The bell startled her out of her daze picking up her bag she
left class with Alexis by her side.
"Did I miss something yesterday?" Alexis asked with a smirk playing on her lips. Haven frowned her
eyebrows before replying. "No, nothing why" placing a paper in her bag. Alexis groaned knowing she
wasn't telling her something.
"Did he drive you home again" Alexis said thinking back to last week. Haven sighed knowing she
wouldn't let it go.
she knew Alexis was as persistent as they come so she complied about telling her what had happened
in the car yesterday.
Alexis gasped at how Beau came onto her friend. Since he came to the school he never persuaded a
girl that's probably why some people thought he was gay.
"I didn't know he liked chocolate" a smirked formed on her face. Then confusion replaced it hitting
Haven in the arm.
"Ow what" haven asked turning to her friend giving an agitated look.
"Why did you leave the car you fool" Alexis loved her friend but knew she was slow at times with guys.
"I don't know honestly, plu-" haven started with a shy smile, but the bell cut her sentence short. Alexis
cursed under her breath jogging down the hall to art class.
Taking a note they would talk about it later, she continued her path to math. She took her seat facing
forward this time not trying to waste her time in class by not doing anything. After fifteen minutes of
doing work curiosity got the best of her turning her head slightly to see him staring leaned back in the
chair with one foot infront of the other. She had to be honest she envied his hair wanting to run her
hands through it.
Beau caught her start raising an arched eyebrow at how she wasn't squirming in her seat. Her body
language seemed confident but her eyes told different he sensed insecurity which he couldn't
understand coming from a girl like her, but wasn't that surprised he saw it before many times thinking it
would change.
Giving her a once over he somewhat struggled in turning his gaze to his paper finishing the last
question. Her chest tightened slightly at the thought of rejection she couldn't understand why she felt
like that it's not like she had feeling for him.
