Chapter 11
Chapter 11
Three years later;
In the Forrester Pack.
"Again?" Ken shouted at his Betas and Omegas, "How come the rogue problem is occurring again and
again? How can we not find their entry point even after we had installed the wireless hidden cameras?
They have managed to hurt 7 people, abduct 15 kids and 20 female wolves. Now you are telling me
that they have even managed to kill old man Quinn?" His demeanor had every wolf in the meeting
shaking in their shoes.
"Actually Alpha, they managed to kill two people, old man Quinn and his mate. We just got the news
from the medical facility, she couldn't make it. Perhaps we should consider recalling our warriors in the
city?", one of the Omegas suggested. Têxt © NôvelDrama.Org.
"And make them sitting ducks? We should think of moving the pack to a safe place instead.", another
wolf chimed in.
"We don't have the facilities to move an entire pack to another location. We are short on funds and our
relations with other packs have been degrading since a couple of years. If anything, our neighbours are
waiting to see us fail so they can obtain a chunk of our lands.", a Beta commented.
"I know the problems. I want solutions. Can anybody suggest something worthwhile, please?", Ken bit
out bitterly.
"How about going to the Council for help? I have heard that one of their teams called Wrath of the
Moon is top notch in solving rogue problems.", Xander drawled slowly.
"Do you think the council will help us?", Ken asked a bit worried.
"Do you have any other solution?", Xander asked Ken.
"They seem to be our best shot.", an Omega mumbled.
"They are our only shot unless we want to disband the pack?", Xander replied.
"Fine. Father and I will head to Council Headquarters in two days. Xander, do you think you can hold
the fort until we return?", Ken asked.
Xander simply nodded his head.
"Fine then, meeting is dismissed.", Ken said.

The Council:
Maya and her team walks into Councilman Dylan's office.
"Team Leader Maya. Gentlemen and Ladies.", Dylan greets them with a smile.
"Councilman Dylan", the team greets him as one.
In the last three years, Dylan had moved up the ladder and was now working as a Councilman. He had
assigned Maya as the Team Leader of the Wrath of the Moon team. Maya being a natural born leader
had been able to take over the team and create a wide known reputation of the team as being able to
solve rogue problems.
Dylan took a look at all the individuals present in the room. Each and everyone of them were recruited
by Dylan to create the new team of Wrath of the Moon. The team consisted of four people; apart from
Maya, who each have their own special talents. Ryder and Marina constitute the brains of the team
whereas Andy and Jeff constitute the brawn.
Dylan had spent a whole year polishing them into warriors and then another year helping them grow
into their own talents. Maya had started accepting assignments from her second year in the
headquarters, as a result she was directly placed incharge of the team. Then, making use of the
prestige of the team already created by it's former members, Maya built the team a name in problem
solving.
Problems like pack feud, territory issues, rogue attacks, etc. were tackled by her and the team. With
impeccable logic and quick wit, she had managed to get the team to quickly accept her as the Leader.
However, despite all of her achievements there were times when she remembers the past and breaks
down. At such times, the team knew about her story and did their best to ease her pain just a tiny bit.
Each and everyone of them had a past from which they were rescued.
Dylan knew that this new assignment they were gonna get might just rip a new one for Maya. Dylan
sighed and got down to the business, "Congratulations for completing your last task so quickly. The
Council has decided to raise your salaries by giving a good hike."
"Oh no... Who's life are you going to screw now?", Marina asked.
"What do you mean?", Dylan questioned.
"She means that whenever the Council has given us a hike in salary, they did it because the task would
be extremely difficult for one of us." Ryder explained.
"Ummm... This makes it difficult.", Dylan said.
"What? Seriously? Just spit it out.", Marina said shaking her head.
"The Forrester pack needs our help.", Dylan said calmly looking directly at Maya.
The words 'Forrester Pack' made Maya flinch but not a single word was uttered by her. Her team
members were looking at her and Marina squeezed her hand a bit as if to lend her some strength.
"Do you think you will be able to do it?", Dylan asked Maya.
"The Wrath of the Moon team has never denied help to any sentient beings protected by Council and
we wouldn't start now." Maya replied in a calm voice, "However, I do have a condition. You have to let
them know exactly who it is that would come to their pack to help them."
"They are coming down here themselves to meet with us. They will arrive tomorrow. I just wanted to
give you a heads up in case you happen to run into them." Dylan said accepting to her request.
"Let's make that meeting in our cabin, shall we?", Andy asked his eyes filled with mischief.
"I hope you aren't planning to do something childish." Ryder retorted.
"There wouldn't be any childish plans. We are going to behave in a perfectly professional manner. I
wouldn't have people saying any nasty things about our team. We have built a reputation, let's keep it
up there. Let's not give anyone a reason to drag our name in the mud." Maya commanded a bit of the
Alpha tone leaking in her voice.
A chorus of yes echoed in the room. All her team members expressed their agreement apathetically.
"We will be ready to meet them tomorrow." Maya said nodding at Dylan.
"Okay then. You guys go ahead and rest. I have to talk with Maya for a minute.", Dylan replied with a
small smile gracing his face.
"What did you want to talk about?", Maya asked.
"Are you sure you can handle this? If you want, you can sit out this one. I will step in instead of you."
"I have never hidden my identity as the Team Leader of the Wrath of the Moon pack. If I deliberately sit
this one out and people come to know, then all the hardwork of my team mates comes to nothing. We
are the best team out there. We can handle this." Maya replied confidently.
"You have come a long way Maya. I am proud of you." Dylan said his voice filled with pride.
"Let's see if you say the same thing once we come back.", Maya joked.
Dylan smiled and said, "You remember and understand the details of your kidnapping, right? I have told
you who is the real culprit. So if this problem offers an opportunity to patch your relationship with your
mate then maybe you should do it."
"The culprit of my kidnapping and torture might be someone different but you were with me that day we
went to the pack lands. All of them caused the pain that came after my rescue." Maya said firmly,
"Relations are like threads, once broken they can never be same. Even if you join them, a knot
remains."
"Okay, I understand. All the best Team Leader Maya. We hope to see another win for you and your
team." Dylan replied with a smile.
