Chapter 150
Kyren screamed in agony when his second and only good eye was ripped out by Elise; she was ruthless with no mercy, watching him squirm on the floor with all the girls watching. Most were in awe of what she had just done, while some were still terrified.
Rygan stood in marvel and pride at his mate; she looked to Lorraine, whose gaze was met with shuddering relief. “You are all safe now; I assure you, you will be back home soon,” she muttered to the girls, who began to cry and hug each other; only tears of freedom filled their hearts as they cried.
Elise recalled her talk with Rygan back at the Silver Night Pack; for them to join the packs together, she was ready to take them in, and Rygan was too-a new world that they could have, a world filled with peace where even a wolfless fledgling can be treated as normal.
“You will never be able to torment another woman ever again,” she snarls.
“Do you
think you will all leave this place alive?” Kyren snarled, “You and all those girls are mine; you were mine first; I will make sure that you will be trapped here forever!” Kyren howled like a madman.
The doors burst open as guards trailed into the room; their gaze fell on Elise, Rygan, and Jax as they surrounded them; the deltas had weapons, and the shifters were ready to attack them.
“Surrender now!” They screamed at Elise, who looked back at Rygan; he sent an assuring message down the bond. Elise then looked at the guards, her eyes calm, making the night guards feel uneasy about the situation. Why wasn’t she panicking?
“Drop your weapons now, and you might be given the chance to keep your life; the whole pack has been surrounded by my shadow wolves; now all your defenses are down already, so if you don’t want to see useless bloodshed, I suggest you do that before my mate decides there will be no mercy for you all.”
She warned the soldiers, and they all looked to Rygan, whose eyes were dark and gleaming with a death promise; they knew instantly any sudden attack would lead to death; his stare alone caused the guards to shiver and made some of them take a step back.
“I don’t want to die,” one of the guards stutters out as he drops his weapons, a silver spear he slammed to the ground, and others quickly follow; even though Kyren couldn’t see, he could very much hear his men surrendering.
Dread and humiliation morphed on his face as he turned to them. “No, no, no! What the hell are you all doing? I am your king, and I demand you to raise your weapons and fight for me.” The alpha screamed, scrambling blindly.
They all looked down at the man they once feared; now Kyren was nothing but a pathetic blind man who crawled desperately. They looked back at Rygan, whose hands were crossed with a stern gaze at them; there was no way to help him. Not when the black beast was involved.
“Bend the knee and show allegiance and loyalty to the Luna, and your lives will be spared,” Rygan called with a dark snarl that had all the soldiers’ knees hitting the ground in mere seconds.
“Y-you cowards!” Kyren howls again. “Fitz! Do something,” he called to the assassin.
“I and brother have been at your beck and call since childhood doing your bidding; yes, my brother was killed because of the black beast, but those orders to go into the woods and die for you, yet you did not care,” he chuckled with anger.

“I don’t want to live in a world where I have to be tortured and deprived of my sanity to please you, and I will not serve you anymore; I’d rather be locked in the dark dungeons than do that he spat to Kyren.
Now the dark knight Alpha felt like he was going insane; no one was on his side. “How do you feel?” Elise’s voice rang through his torment.
“How do you feel to lose everything in just an instant, to be rejected by everyone you thought was by your side? This is your
punishment, you b**d, and you will live with regret and fear in the afterlife knowing I’m the last person you ever saw.”
“No! No, you all cannot do this to me! You cannot do this; you are nothing but a mere woman who didn’t submit to me. How dare you? I am Alpha King!” He snarled. Kyren rose from his knees, lunging for where Elise stood, as he blindly clawed for her.
But before he could reach where she stood, he felt a sharp slice to his neck, causing the alpha to pause, and with trembling hands, he raised his fingers to trace the metal scant of blood that gushed down his hands, and to the realization, Rygan had clawed his neck open.
Kyren then comes to a horrific reality: that his neck had been sliced open, Kyren could only sputter out blood as his knees hit the ground, and another burst of blood spills from his lips as he reaches his hands forward blindly searching for Elise, “El…El!” His voice sounded painful and horrid as he tried to speak.
Rygan didn’t stop there as the alpha took Kyren’s neck, crushing the bones in till he heard a fatal snap to the alpha’s neck. The life immediately left his body, and Kyren fell flat to the ground.
The soldiers and guards could only watch astounded by their alpha king’s demise, knowing it was full death to whoever tried to go against the black beast. “I’ve been waiting a long time to do that,” Ryan muttered, a satisfied snarl and dark gaze to his mate. One to prove his loyalty and what he’ll do over again for her.
He then takes fast strides to where Elise stood, pushing her chin up till their gazes locked. He could see the jarring relief on her face that they were finally free from their first tormentor. “And I’ve been waiting all day to do this, mate.”
He calls as he swoops in for a victory kiss, pouring his love for Elise into every single kiss till he feels her body shudder in response. * I love you so much, sweetheart; we deserve peace and happiness. * He channels to her.
*From here on out, it’s you and me; we’ll change the world, make it a better place. I love you, Rygan, for as long as I live,” she replies to her mate.
For the first time in a long time, Elise could finally see a future for both of them; they knew it was hard work ahead, but they would gladly face everything.
Together.
