Riches in Disguise

Chapter 397

Matthew's cousin was going overboard! Even a fool could guess how steamy things would get while dealing with the zipper in the fitting room!

The three of us felt disgusted, especially Liam, who scratched at the goosebumps on his arms. Still, we couldn't say much and had to pretend to be unaware of this.

Because of this, we didn't pay much attention to the performance. After all, things felt too uncomfortable after witnessing that earlier.

After the performance, Matthew invited us to the celebratory dinner. We refused by lying that we were shy and headed back to campus early.

Once we were back, Benjamin burst out, saying, "What is Matthew thinking? Doesn't he like Isabelle? How could he act like this?"

Liam snorted. "He probably thinks that nothing will really happen between him and his cousin, so he's enjoying the thrill and excitement of it. After all, he still has a girlfriend like Isabelle who's waiting to pamper him afterward."

Liam sounded slightly bitter, but I could understand his feelings.

Compared to Matthew, he was definitely a better person who would make a great and faithful boyfriend.

Matthew might seem loyal, but he was actually a huge playboy. Yet, while Liam remained single, Matthew had managed to score a great girlfriend. It was natural that Liam felt resentful.

I sighed and stayed silent since it was none of our business.

We could grumble all we wanted, but we couldn't step in since things could easily get out of hand if we did.

Just then, my phone buzzed. I grabbed it and saw that Roger had posted the marks for a recent quiz. I learned that I had received a big fat zero.

I was furious. I hadn't even sat for the test, so how could I even obtain that score?

He could've marked me absent yet deliberately gave me a zero. It was obvious that he was trying to humiliate me!

Benjamin exclaimed, "89? How could that be? I knew all of the answers!"

Liam was just as dismayed. "I only got 86! Didn't we go over the answers together? We got everything right!"

These two were steady scholarship students and usually scored close to perfect marks during quizzes. Never had they gotten less than 95, let alone 90. It was clear that

something was off.

Was Roger targeting them as well because we were roommates? The thought

made me snap, and I immediately dialed Roger's number.

However, he declined the call. That bastard!

"I'm going to see him!"

Benjamin and Liam quickly stopped me. "Don't, William. You'll just end up arguing with him. He has full control

over our grades, so we'll just end up with the short end of the stick."

"He's right. We're just students. How will you win against a teacher?"noveldrama

They added, "Besides, you've already offended him. There's still a chance he might adjust your grades if you make him forgive you. But if you cross him too much, you might not even be able to graduate."
