Rush: Part One & Two: Part 1 – Chapter 32

“Valentina, let me in,” a voice says from outside of my door, and I groan once more before getting out of bed. Eduardo is standing there, a sweet smile on his face. “May I come in?” I step aside, and he walks into my room. The cramps continue to bring crippling pain to my body. Eduardo walks toward me before pressing his lips to my neck. I push him off gently and walk over to my bed again. “What’s wrong?” he asks before he sits down next to me.

Tears roll down my cheek involuntarily, and I lean back in bed. “I’m on my period,” I reply in all honesty, and he leans away from me. I frown as I watch an odd expression take over his face. He seems eager to go, so I tell him, “You can leave.” And he does. How immature… I always thought Eduardo is the mature one out of the two of them, but then I recall the time Gabriel saw me cry and in pain and how amazing he was. Gabriel is amazing… he’s always been amazing. I want to see him.

Before I can think about it more, I put on a pair of flip-flops, take my key card, and walk to the elevator. I press the eleventh-floor button and get out as soon as the doors open again, making my way to his room. He opens the door, and more tears leave my eyes. I don’t know why, but I can’t hold them back.

“What’s wrong, chérie?” he asks me, but my attention is drifting from his face to his body. The only thing keeping me sane is the fact he’s wearing boxers that reach to the middle of his thigh. His lean, muscular chest is exposed to me completely, and I forget why I came to his room. “Chérie?” he says again and brings me back to reality. His hands reach forward, and he wipes away my tears. “Are you in pain?” I nod, and so does he. “Okay, baby.” My heart flutters, and he notices how much I like it when he uses that pet name.

“What are you doing?” I ask him, but he doesn’t answer. Instead, he leads me to his bed, where he pulls back the covers and lets me crawl under the blanket.

“I’m going to go down to the lobby and see if the reception has a hot water bottle, okay?” I shake my head and hold onto his hand. “I’ll be right back.” He presses a kiss to my forehead and puts on clothes before he disappears out of the room.

Gabriel returns with a bottle of water, painkillers, and a hot water bottle. “Sorry it took so long, chérie, but I went to the store and got you the hot water bottle.” He pulls back the sheets and places the bottle onto my stomach before handing me some water and painkillers. When Gabriel takes the bottle out of my hands, he frowns. “You’re cold,” he states and pulls his long-sleeved shirt over his head. “Here.” Gabriel hands it to me, and I put it on. The tank top wasn’t keeping me warm.

“Why are you doing all of this for me?” I ask him, and he runs his hand over my forehead. My eyes close from his touch, and a sigh escapes me.

“Is that a rhetorical question?” he replies, and another tear flows down. There’s something seriously wrong with me. I’m not sad, but I also can’t stop crying. His thumb caresses my cheek, and I pull his hand to my mouth to press a kiss against the back of it. I love how it feels to be with him right now, I love the affection, and I wish my cramps didn’t ruin this moment.

“This shit hurts,” I complain, and he chuckles softly.Content rights belong to NôvelDrama.Org.

“You know, I read something that helps with period cramps,” he mumbles and smirks wickedly. “Having an orgasm helps,” he whispers, and shivers run down my body. I can’t talk or move. All I do is stare at his delicious lean body and imagine the things he could make me feel. There’s another cramp, and I flinch involuntarily.

“You’re very funny,” I tell him, and he winks at me.

“I try.” He runs his index finger over my lips so carefully, one might think he would break me if he pressed harder.

“Lie down,” I command, and he gives me his perfect smile. He bites the inside of his cheek before he jumps over me and drops down on the other side of the bed. A sweet laugh, one I’ve never heard, leaves my throat, and I turn around to face him. Gabriel is lying on his back, his hand under his head, and a lovely grin on his lips. “I’m really sorry about today. I know you must be mad about the result,” I blurt out, and Gabriel turns his head to the side.

“You’re right, I was mad, but I’ll never stop pushing. I will never give up because that’s not the kind of person I am. I’ll never give up…” As much as I want to keep staring at his handsome features, I know it is better to turn around and face the other way.

“Cuddle with me?” I ask and feel Gabriel’s arms wrapping around me seconds later. His hands rest just underneath my breasts, and he puts his chin in the crook of my neck. A small sigh escapes him, and I run my fingers over his arms. “Don’t think this changes anything,” I warn him, and he chuckles. The vibration travels through my whole body, and I close my eyes to enjoy how it feels to be lying in his arms.

“Don’t worry, baby, I won’t think anything I’m not supposed to,” he says before he presses a kiss to my shoulder. I don’t need Eduardo in my life. He might like me, but Gabriel loves me.
