Chapter 18 ~ An Illegitimate Affair With Mr. President ~
|| XAVIER'S POV ||
I was initially planning to ignore her existence after finding her waiting for the local cab quite anxiously. I
noticed her working hard for the entire day and for some dumb reason, I had to admire her passion and
determination towards her asserted tasks.
I wanted to pull my eyes away from her pitiful situation but my slipped tongue denied my decision
entirely. Thus as soon as my maybach started passing by standing figure, I blurted out suddenly "
Stop".
Now look at her damn attitude!
I offered her my most expensive retro suite but she constantly kept denying my kind offer and that
kinda made me interested into her more.If there was another woman except her, they would have died
in overwhelming happiness that Xavier Gray had offered her his own worned suite.
But she is different.. different from all the girls that I have met so far.
The rest of the path was dull and awkward as the summer rain started pouring down from the dark
clouded sky outside.
She didn't even try to utter a word! Fuck! It's bothering my attitude again!
I let out a dry cough hesitating bad to initiate the conversation but quickly came up with a reasonable
excuse,
" Miss Young, where should I drop you?"
She jolted in her spot slightly before replying me back briefly,
" Season Apartment road 13."
I nodded with understanding and ordered my driver to drive over there first politely.
Again, we fell in another round of dense silence as if only the faint tune of breathing could be heard in
this little spacious car. Before I could initiate anymore conversations, my driver parked in front of a 20th
floor apartment suddenly.
She glanced outside watching the ushering rain blankly and started unfolding her seat belts. I kept my
expression nonchalant but deep inside, I was disappointed on the fact that she had ignored me like a
shit.
Just then I thought that she would get off without offering me a formal thank you, she suddenly turned
around and asked politely,
" Do you mind of having a coffee in my apartment, Mr President?"
I stared at her puzzled face for a couple of seconds as if she was regretting thousand times for giving
me this bold invitation.
Looking back at the rainy weather outside, I thought that a hot coffee would be a good idea. Thus
ignoring my prominent status for the first time, I replied briefly knowing that it could be a daring risk to This content is © NôvelDrama.Org.
enter her apartment,
" Okay!"
She was shocked after receiving my affirmative answer as I felt slightly embarrassed for being so
casual.
As I noticed the front, the driver was giving me an awestruck look too as If I had spoke in an indistinct
language. I frowned at his curiosity hardly as he shifted his eyes quickly away from my cold face.
I heard her gentle tone while pulling open the car door,
" Sure! Please follow me up."
I instructed my personal bodyguards to stay far away from the apartment.
Because paparazzis never leaves me alone. I don't want any kind of rubbish news tomorrow.
Thus I trailed her footsteps inside the expensive apartment slowly.
IRIS'S POV~~
My expression changed dramatically into a pitiful one as soon as he answered me positively. I was
offering him to have a coffee out of respect. As I was badly confident on my thought that he would
refuse my proposal.
But my plan never worked well..
Cursing my mentality brutally, I got down from the half drenched Maybach before rushing inside the
apartment's building. I saw his frowned face annoyed on the heavy rain as he followed my footsteps as
a guard quickly approached to him holding an umbrella.
Climbing down, he patted his suit as usual before looking up at me apprehensivly. I gestured him
politely to follow my way as he indicated the guards to stop who wanted to follow him upstairs.
He put on a mask to avoid any gossip and silently follow me into the elevator. The old lady in white
hairs and a loose dress had gotten into the elevator too.
She seems to stay in my next apartment but honestly we never had any neighbourly relationship. He
walked behind me and stopped just after my side.
As the elevator strode upstairs, I vaguely sensed the old lady's suspicious gaze on him. I gulped down
my saliva in nervousness and solemnly prayed that he couldn't be found by anyone..
Or else, I will become the headline tomorrow!
An illegal affair with the president?
That sound terrible! Holy Shit!
As the elevator stopped at the 15th floor, I quickly rushed out not even glancing at his way.
The whole floor was quite empty as the weather was rough, everybody was already inside their
respective houses. He followed me slowly and paused as I started typing the pass codes.
As the door unlocked, I saw the old lady glaring at me suspiciously as if I was going to commit a grieve
crime. Basically anyone would be suspicious watching a handsome hunk entering into a single
woman's apartment at late night.
Giving her an awkward smile, I pushed open the door before sliding one side and gestured my vvip
guest to head inside,
" Please come in. Its kinda messy. I wasn't here for the entire day though."
He looked at me indifferently before making his way inside slowly. As I was busy in locking the door, I
found him paused at midway just before the couch.
I wanted him to say sit down and then my eyes were pooped out in horror glancing at the messy
couch.
Just like other day, Daisy left her bra over the couch and the worst part was that there was a man's
underwear crunching at a corner.
I looked up at his expression in shocked and embarrassed. His expression had darkened and a slight
enlarged frown appeared in his handsome face.
I mentally stabbed Daisy thousand times before quickly rushing over the couch. Grabbing them harshly
in my fist, I breathed rapidly and offered him the couch abruptly,
" I'm sorry.. Sorry for the inconvenience. Its my best friend who usually comes here. Please sit down. I
wil be back in a minute."
He pulled out the mask swiftly before gazing through my eyes coldly as if he was looking through the
sincerity of my words.
Humming coldly, he walked towards the couch gently as I headed for the kitchen to make a hot coffee.
