Chapter 9
Chapter 9 Morning Sickness.
After vomiting several times, Nancy finally felt a little more comfortable.
Taking a deep breath, she washed her face and tidied up before leaving.
“Mom, I’m sorry I made such a scene.”
Nancy looked at Sarah sitting on the sofa, feeling very embarrassed.
Sarah just smiled. “It’s okay.”
Then she beckoned Nancy to sit over. Nancy immediately sat beside her carefully.
Because of nervousness, Nancy’s heart beat wildly, and her breathing was a little unsteady. However, this was not the most important thing. She feared that her mother-in-law would ask her about “vomiting”.
It happened so coincidentally.
A moment later, her mother-in-law’s voice rang in her ears, “What happened just now? You vomited severely. Do you want to go to the hospital?”
Oh my goodness! Nancy exclaimed, really afraid of what might happen.
“Mom, I am okay. I just accidentally ate eggs. I have been a little allergic for the past two days.”
Nancy tried her best to make her voice and tone sound natural without
any
flaws.
“Be careful next time. Allergies are not a trivial matter, Sarah warned seriously without overthinking.
“Yes, Mom. I will pay attention to it in the future.”
Then, Sarah went straight to the point without beating around the bush.
“If I remember correctly, yesterday was your second wedding anniversary.”
“Yeah!” Nancy nodded obediently.
“A person will meet all kinds of people in this life. Some people are impossible to meet in a lifetime, while some only pass by fate. It is not easy to be a husband and wife. Since you have become husband and wife, you must cherish this fate.”
“It is not easy to get married. That’s why destroying a marriage is a serious sin. If you still love him, you have to make some effort and hold on to it. As for Madelline, you don’t have to be afraid of her. Not only me but all of the Sallows, including your grandpa and your father, no one likes
her. No one agreed to let her marry into our family. We are all your strongest support.”
Sarah’s words made Nancy feel tearful.
Although Nancy’s mother had been dead for many years and her father had never given her paternal love, she is so lucky to be able to marry into the Sallows.
Not only did they not dislike her; they loved her, pampered her, protected her, and loved her.
There was nothing she could do in this life to repay this kindness.
“Mom, I know. I will cherish it.”

“You know it?” Sarah suddenly looked at her. Her eyes became sharp. “I don’t think you know. If you knew, you wouldn’t mention divorce so easily,”
“Don’t think I don’t know what you and Nicholas are planning something. Grandpa will be 80 years old soon. He is not in good health. I will never forgive you if you dare to do anything to anger him. Give up all of your plans and forget it.”
Nancy suddenly raised her head and looked at her in disbelief. “Mom, how do
Nancy’s voice was so small on the last word.
She also lowered her head and dared not to face her mother-in-law.
you know?”
Sarah sighed. “Regardless of Nicholas’ reason to marry you, you are legally married. You are husband and wife. Since you are husband and wife, you must cherish it. I am still expecting a grandson from you so that I can hold my head high.”
Before leaving, Sarah advised, “Don’t overthink and live well.”
After saying that, she left without eating.
Nancy sat on the sofa and hesitated for a long time, thinking about calling Nicholas.
Let him know that Mom knew they were planning to divorce.
After struggling with it, Nancy was so sleepy that she fell asleep directly on the sofa.
Sarah called Nicholas as soon as she left, “I will be at the old house in half an hour. I want to see you there when I get home.”
Nicholas had a headache. “Mom, I’m still outside.”
Sarah replied, “I know you left your wife and went shopping with Madelline. I will go to the mall. to find Madelline if you don’t come. Don’t blame me for being harsh if she makes a fool of herself again. Decide it yourself!”
“I will come.”
Before Nicholas could say anything. Sarah had hung up.
“Madelline, you go shopping first. When you’re done, I’ll ask the driver to take you home.” Nicholas said gently.
Madelline immediately noticed something was wrong. “Nicholas, do you want to leave first?”
“Well, there is something urgent.”
“Okay, then you go first. I will take care of myself, so you don’t have to worry.”
“Yes.”
Just as Nicholas was about to turn around, Madelline suddenly said, “Nicholas, wait!”
“What?”
Madelline wheeled the wheelchair. She reached out her hands, the slender fingers adjusted. Nicholas’ tie.
“It’s done. The tie was a bit crooked.
“Thanks!”
Looking at Nicholas’ back, Mandy muttered, “Miss, why didn’t you stop Mr. Sallow and let him leave?”
“Because he gave me a wake-up call today?”
“Wake-up call for what?”
“The day before yesterday, we had an argument because of the divorce delay. He was unhappy. Today was also because of this matter. I want to give him more space and trust him more. If I push him too hard, it will backfire.”
“Miss, are you not afraid he will fall in love with his wife?”
Madelline’s gaze became complicated.
After a while, she finally said, “Afraid. Of course, I am afraid.”
“But then I comforted myself. They have been married for two years, and Nicholas didn’t fall for her. It’s only a week. It’s not like the relationship will develop by leaps and bounds in seven days.”
“I have endured for two years in a foreign country. I have survived more than 700 days. I must not give up all my previous efforts because of these seven days. I must stabilize myself and must
not panic.” This is property © NôvelDrama.Org.
When Nicholas returned to the Sallows’ old house, Sarah was waiting for him in the study.
Around five o’clock in the afternoon, the sun had already set.
The orange-red sunset glows in the sky. You can see the beautiful sunset from the window. This is Sarah’s favorite moment.
The antique-styled room was filled with a faint scent of incense..
On the nearby tea table, a strong tea aroma exuded a fresh smell..
When Nicholas opened the door and went in, Sarah had just finished brewing tea.
He walked over to the other side of the tea table and then sat there. He picked up the smelled it. “Mom, the tea you brew smells so good

“Doesn’t matter anyway. Your dad prefers the tea made by Jessica Jadin, saying that the tea she brews is romantic and sweet. The tea I brew is as boring as me.”
“Mom.” Nicholas frowned deeply. “Why are you mentioning her all of a sudden?”
“What? You don’t allow me to mention your father’s old lover. But you can take your little lover to go shopping and wander around? Good for you, Nicholas.”
“Have you considered Nancy? Is she made of iron? Will she be able to bear it?”
