Sextuplets From Ruthless Love

Chapter 48

Lina paused her move for a bit. The smile on her face slightly faded, yet she showed no trace of anxiousness.

"I know I can never keep it from you. Well, I have no choice. My useless son lost in the gamble, so I need money. Melissa gave me a huge sum of money, so I could only give in and commit the sin." "You could've told me." Trevor leaned against the couch with his brows slightly furrowed.

"Jessica left behind a note the other day, but I kept it. Everything went wrong after making one mistake. Since the situation has come to this stage, I'm willing to sacrifice myself in exchange for my family's lives. For the sake that I've been serving you since you were young, please spare them."

Lina's legs weakened, and she went down on her knees. Trevor gradually closed his eyes, turned around, and left behind his words without looking back. "Leave the Gulliford residence and take care of the matter yourself."

That was the last bit of mercy he could spare her. If he were to take matters into his own hands, they might

die in a miserable way.

Trevor went upstairs and received a call from Martin. The latter told him that he had yet to locate the children.

He leaned against the office chair and clenched his fists tightly before he slammed hard on the table.

Trevor had always been a domineering man. However, at that moment, he was at a loss and consumed by trepidation.

"How is it possible that they couldn't even find the five kids? Melissa! It must be Melissa Jackson again! This wicked woman! I'll never let her off so easily," he exclaimed inwardly.

He instructed some people to do exactly the same thing Jessica had experienced at the cemetery to Melissa.

Melissa had lost her mind after being humiliated by countless people. Covering her body with torn fabrics, she barged into the Gulliford residence in a miserable state.

"Trevor Gulliford, why did you do this to me? Jessica killed Samantha, and I was only avenging your

biological younger sister. How could you do this to me?"

Looking at Melissa, who was wailing in the courtyard, Trevor lowered his gaze and thought, "It's

just too easy to let her die that way."

"Martin, send her to the psychiatric hospital.

Remember to get someone to take special care of her."

The last sentence had expressed every thought Trevor had in mind. Martin naturally got the hint and nodded before he left. When the people from the hospital went to the Jackson residence to get Melissa, she and her mother were crying miserably. "Mom, save me! I'm not crazy. Please, save me! I'm not going to the psychiatric hospital. Mom, I don't want to go! I'm not going!"

Melissa grabbed the Jackson residence's gate with all her might and shook her head vigorously.

"Jonathan, say something. She's our daughter!" Rhonda cast her gaze upon Jonathan, her face

streaked with tears.

"She has offended someone she shouldn't have. There's nothing I can do."

Jonathan shook his head helplessly. He could not lose his wealth and status just because of Melissa. Hence, he did not dare to go against Trevor's wish. Moreover, he could always have another child if he wished. As long as he had the money, he could get himself more wives and have them bear more children for him.

Rhonda stomped her foot anxiously. However, she came from an ordinary background. She could only watch as the people grabbed Melissa into the car from the psychiatric hospital.

Ever since that day, the two daughters from the Jackson family had never shown up again. Only the lamp in the living room of the Gulliford residence remained lit from day to night. Soon, three years had passed.

At the entrance of the airport, Martin glanced at Trevor, who was next to him, with a reluctant look.

"Mr. Gulliford, could you please reconsider it? The

Gulliford family and the company can't survive without you. Mr. Bennett can't live without you too. People are dying every day in a war-torn country like Vartan. We have no idea when you can come back after leaving."

"I know. You can leave now," replied Trevor with a deadpan expression. In fact, he did not plan to come back after leaving.

"Mr. Gulliford, you-"

"I'm going to drag you to go with me if you don't get lost now." Trevor sounded slightly impatient. As such, Martin dared not say another word and turned to leave.Content protected by Nôv/el(D)rama.Org.
