Chapter 1135
Chapter 1135:
“Mrs. Deleon?” Eileen’s frown deepened. Why didn’t she recognize someone so familiar in Onaland?
Eileen thought the woman’s figure looked familiar as well. Before she could pinpoint where she had seen the woman previously, Leyla’s examination concluded. Eileen entered the room to help Leyla adjust her clothing.
“Mrs. Vazquez is in excellent health. I heard you drove here from Alverton?” the doctor said, holding up the heart examination results. “She’s in great shape. Make sure she’s well cared for. However, it would be best not to have her travel too much in the future.”
Before Eileen could respond, Leyla, smiling, waved to the doctor and said, “I was the one who wanted to come with Eileen. Wherever she goes, that’s my home. I’m planning to stay in Onaland indefinitely. It’s much nicer here.” Upon hearing this, the doctor handed the report to Eileen and reassured her, “Don’t worry. She’s fine.”
After a few more tests, Eileen assisted Leyla as they left the examination room.
At the far end of the room, a pair of eyes peered through a window at Eileen’s back.
Even after Eileen and Leyla had disappeared down the corridor, those eyes continued to gaze in the direction they had gone.
“Mrs. Deleon, we should head back now,” the servant said.
The woman nodded and replied, “Let’s go.”
She then opened the door and walked in the opposite direction from Eileen.
Eileen instructed the driver to take Leyla home first while she went to visit Dalores.
The doctor had not set up a separate ward for Dalores, allowing her to wear her own clothes and stay in Emerson’s ward. This arrangement helped keep Dalores from feeling too anxious.

“Eileen, you’re here.” Dalores was engaged with Emerson, playing inside a small fenced area in the corner of the ward. The VIP ward had been warmly decorated, resembling a cozy home. In the next room, Julio was involved in an online meeting. His voice, deep and resonant, carried a tone of anger.
Eileen said softly to Dalores, “It looks like you’re recovering better than expected.”
“Actually…” Dalores lowered her head and said, “It’s just an old wound from my childhood. It doesn’t bother me as long as Emerson is well.”noveldrama
Eileen set down the new toys she had purchased for Emerson, who was happy when he saw them. “In that case, love and care help you heal. I’m not aware of what you’ve been through before, but since Julio could help you before, he’s capable of doing it again. You must trust him completely,” Eileen said.
Dalores’ eyes welled with tears. Memories of her past—bitter, gratifying, and tinged with subtle sadness—flooded back. “My mood can be difficult, but… Julio promised to care for Emerson,” Dalores whispered. Her underlying pain remained unchanged, yet she felt better because of Julio’s promise.
Removing Dalores’ deep-seated issues proved difficult, prompting Eileen to shift the topic and spend some time playing with Emerson. Shortly after, Julio emerged from the room, massaging the area between his eyebrows, his expression weary.
“What’s wrong?” Eileen asked, her curiosity piqued. She knew they had ended their party early the previous night to be at the hospital.
