Shrouded Affections Winning Back My CEO Wife

Chapter 802

Chapter 802:

Eileen nodded. “My previous job… I called it tiring.”

Conroy was left speechless.

Silence fell, and Eileen struggled to suppress her laughter.

She looked at Conroy with a serious expression and asked, “Am I wrong?”

“Fine, then tell me who should be fired,” Conroy was clearly frustrated.

“Miss Marshall, for starters. I think she just wanders around all day. If she can’t contribute anything useful, then let her go. And you and Kinsey are relatives. Only one of you should stay in the company to oversee everything. There’s no need for both of you here, draining the payroll. If we fire people like this, we could cut the staff by half. We could reduce a lot of our losses,” Eileen stated confidently.

“Reducing staff isn’t the way to address our core issues. We need to tackle the root of the problem.”

Conroy shifted away from the topic of reducing the staff.

“The problem is, you’re not capable enough to manage the company. That’s why the company is facing bankruptcy now,” Eileen said. “You can’t pinpoint the issue, and you expect me to come up with a solution? This is absurd.”

Before Conroy could respond, there was a knock on the office door, and Bryan entered with Gabriela in his arms.

Bryan glanced at Eileen and then turned to Conroy.

“Mr. Finch, how much longer will you need my employee?”

Eileen said, “Mr. Dawson, the VQ Group is on the brink of collapse. You—”

“Don’t talk nonsense!” Conroy quickly interjected. He suddenly became anxious. He stood up, walked around the desk, and positioned himself in front of Eileen to block her from Bryan’s view.noveldrama

He smiled at Bryan and said, “Dawson, I apologize. I was merely jesting with Eileen. There’s nothing more for her to do here. We can address matters later.”

Then, he turned to Eileen and whispered sternly, “The company’s financial issues are confidential. How can you discuss them so freely with someone not employed here?”

And Bryan was clearly not an employee of VQ Group.

“Yes, Mr. Finch,” Eileen replied. She then left with Bryan.

Once in Bryan’s office, Eileen said, “He lied to me, saying VQ Group was nearing collapse and asked me to find a solution. I just played along to have some fun.” There was no real progress.

However, the woman who had been hiding in Conroy’s place had not left yet. Eileen returned daily to review the surveillance footage and noticed the woman hadn’t stepped outside even once.

Unsure of what to do next, Eileen retrieved her phone and called Dalores at Kinsey’s place.

Dalores, having been outside in the cold for two hours the previous night, had caught a cold.

“Eileen, what’s up?”

“What happened to you last night?” Eileen asked, concerned. “What’s going on with you and Julio?”
