SINGLE MOTHER AND CEO

Encounter with the triplets.

Rafael:

As I stayed, back in the group with Reyner, Jose David and Martin Elias, this one jokingly asked me if I had killed my desire to be close to the most beautiful CEO on the planet. They all smiled, except Jose David, who had a withering look on his face and opted to retreat to the group with whom Sofia and her mom were talking.

Wanting to go to the bathroom, I opened some doors, until I stumbled upon one, where I could see three children sitting on a sofa, with their Tablets. Seeing them made me feel something, which I don’t know how to explain, but it was like a kind of call.

To avoid problems with the people who were there, all focused on their cell phones, I carefully closed the door so as not to make any noise. I went back out to the hall, where the reception was taking place, and located Martin.

-Martin, I need a favor! -I asked, trusting him.

-Tell me! -he answered immediately.

-I got through that corridor – showing with my eyes and slyly – an office, where the triplets are, with other people. I want to see them up close, but it’s a restricted area,” I assured him.

“I feel, that something in them calls me, it is a presentiment, Martin -I affirmed looking fixedly at this one.

For this reason, laughing at me, he accompanied me and opened the office door, where the triplets were playing with their Tablets, but accompanied by one of the Directors and apparently their custodians.

-Good afternoon,” we both greeted. Martin approached the Director, who identified herself as Sheyli.

-What can I do for you? -she asked, with a broad smile, when she saw us. Focusing her gaze on Martin, whom she recognized as Reyner’s son.

“What can I do for you, Mr. Medina? -she asked, getting up from the armchair where she was sitting.

-We are looking for a bathroom! -was the first thing that came to his mind to say, who incidentally helped me to solve my initial need.NôvelDrama.Org holds text © rights.

-At that door,” she said, smiling with both of us. I walked towards it, but as I passed in front of the sofa where the little ones were playing with a Tablet, I greeted them:

-Hello! How are you? -I asked, standing in front of them.

They raised their faces and to my surprise, they looked very similar to me. They had the same color, eye size and look. They had the same color, size of eyes and look. They had the same color, size of eyes and look, with a profiled nose, thick lips, very well delineated, “although, Sofia’s are also like that”, I remembered.

-What are their names? -I asked them, taking advantage of the fact that Martin was keeping the Director entertained.

-I am Rafael Angel, the oldest because I came first,” answered the first of the children with a clear and perfect lexicon, which left me astonished.

-How old are you? -I asked with a smile. Honestly, there is something about them that attracts me, that calls me.

-The three of us, we are three years old each, I am the second one and my name is Rafael Argenis,” said the second boy.

-And I am the youngest, I came last and my name is Rafael Enrique, we are triplets,” added the third one with his sweet and melodic childish voice.

-All three are named Rafael?! -I asked, astonished. “Like your father? -I asked, totally confused by this encounter.

-No, we don’t have a father,” answered the first one. We are called that way, because we were born on the day of Saint Raphael the Archangel,” answered the eldest, looking at me with curiosity.

-Oh, how nice! -I exclaimed, “We are namesakes, because my name is the same as yours, Rafael. Only, my middle name is Jose and I was also born on October 24, St. Raphael the Archangel’s day. Obviously, a few years before you,” I commented and smiled.

-Great! -shouted the three of them, smiling with me and calling the attention of the Director and Martin Elias.

-What are you doing? -My friend doesn’t like strangers coming near them, she is very jealous of her children,” Sheyli said, with an anguished look on her face.

-I’m sorry? It wasn’t my intention to bother them,” I added, being interrupted by the youngest, Rafael Enrique.

-He wasn’t bothering us, aunt, he was just talking to us,” he answered, leaving me speechless again, gawking, watching and listening to how he spoke so clearly, for his young age.

“I think I’m going crazy! But they have my same smile” I thought in admiration and amazement.

While they were talking, my heart was beating like a runaway horse and I even felt proud to see how they expressed themselves so perfectly and how well educated they were.

-You look just like us,” commented Rafael Angel, fixing his gaze on me, as did his brothers, who were also smiling in admiration.

-Children, don’t bother the gentleman, he needs to go to the bathroom,” Sheyli said.

-Calm down, Miss! They are not bothering me, besides they are children’s games,” I clarified so they would not be noticed because of me. It was the last thing I wanted.

Asking permission, I went into the bathroom. When I came out, Martin was waiting for me to go in. I took advantage of this time to approach them and take a picture of them with me, slyly. However, the three of them insisted that I take a picture of them with me so they could use it as wallpaper on their Tablet.

Feeling blessed by these precious angels, I posed with them, so they could take a picture of me. I then asked Martin to photograph us for my personal use, in honor of the three of us. Right then and there, I put it as a wallpaper on my cell phone.

-Aunt Sheyli, he looks just like us! -said Rafael Argenis, admiring the photo on his tablet.

-Besides, he has the same name as us! -Rafael Angel added.

-And he was born on the same day, but…. -Rafael Enrique, making a thoughtful gesture with his index finger on his forehead, added, “but he grew up faster.

-Ha ha ha! -we adults all guffawed.

-Hee, hee, hee! -they guffawed, covering their mouths with one hand, all three making the same gesture. Which amazed me, it seemed perfectly synchronized.

Concerned, the Director asked us to leave this restricted area, precisely for the protection of the children. Once out of the room, Martin Elias asked me to accompany him to the balcony, to smoke, in a place where there was no one. He, admiring the picture again, looked at me and asked me: “Rafael, what happened?

-Rafael, what happened that night? I remember that you told me that a young woman was about to be raped, but that you defended her, helped her, and due to the state she was in, she had fallen asleep,” he asked me, more and more intrigued.

“Also, I remember that you had drunk too much and when you do that you tend to forget “what happened yesterday”, like the movie. Your assistant, I was very worried,” he demanded an explanation, “You haven’t told me the whole truth, have you?

-Yes! I was with her, without protection! I forgot to ask Leonel to find me a condom in the car,” I told him, feeling miserable, especially because of what I was beginning to suspect.

Looking at the photo again, where I am with the triplets, I remembered that in my albums, I had photographs very similar to these, when I was that age.

-The children are three years old,” I affirmed, “or rather more than three, because there are still seven months to go until October 24 of this year, when they will be four years old.

“According to them, they don’t have a father. They physically resemble me, including the smile. Their mother’s name is Sofia and we already know who she looks like,” I concluded, staring at Martin.

“What would you presume, if you were in my place? -I questioned…
