Chapter 1107 Keeping the Photo
Chapter 1107 Keeping the Photo
She couldn't believe the couple she shipped displayed their affection right in front of her.
Mr. Flint was so gentle towards Ms. Raines, while he was so cold toward her.
As everyone said online, he was indifferent to others and gentle only to one person.
Men like Mr. Flint could easily capture girls' hearts and give them a sense of security.
Girls didn't really like those overly gentle guys. That kind of man was likely to become two-timers.
The girl held her face, giggling at Sydney and Julien.
Her fervent gaze was hard to ignore.
Sydney and Julien exchanged a glance and saw helplessness and amusement in each other's eyes.
Julien turned off the phone and gave it back to the girl. "Sorry, I took your phone. Here you are."
The girl vacantly took the phone and shyly responded, "It's... okay."
"You scared her." Sydney chuckled, patting his arm.
Julien frowned. "I didn't."
He hadn't done anything, not even glaring at the girl.
She had wronged him.
Julien pursed his lips and looked at Sydney with a somewhat aggrieved expression.
The girl quickly waved her hand and said, "Ms. Raines, you misunderstood. Mr. Flint didn't scare me. I was just scared of him. It's not his fault."
"Scared of me?" Julien further furrowed his brows. "Why? I didn't do anything to you."
The girl cringed and lowered her head.
Sydney chuckled and explained, "You don't have to do anything. You are scary enough simply by standing there."
"No way!" Julien was not happy about her comments.
Sydney looked at him with a playful smile and said, "Is that so? Look at your cold face and sharp eyes. When people see you, they automatically assume you're giving them a lecture."
'That's right!' the girl echoed in her mind.
Julien lowered his gaze, falling into self-doubt.
'Am I really so stern?'
"I'll try to change it," Julien murmured.
Sydney was about to say it was fine, but the girl beat her to say, "It's okay, Mr. Flint. You don't have to change. It's a merit that you're cold to others and gentle only to Ms. Raines. The others may fear you, but as long as she doesn't, it's fine. Am I right, Ms. Raines?"
The girl looked at Sydney eagerly, waiting for her compliment.
Sydney smiled and gave her a thumbs-up. Copyright by Nôv/elDrama.Org.
Delighted by Sydney's approval, the girl smiled with her eyes curved.
Julien chimed in, "Well said, and you did a good job in your online counterattack."
The girl had never thought that Julien would praise her.
After the initial surprise, she was filled with excitement.
'Oh My God! Mr. Flint praised me too.
'I can brag about this for a whole year!'
Sydney was amused by the girl's excited look and shook her head. "Is it so exciting?"
"Yeah." The girl beamed, explaining, "I just came to buy snacks. I usually don't come out. You know, I'm a typical homebody. It's a stroke of luck that I ran across you guys in the supermarket and saw you guys love each other so much. I am blessed to witness your affection and receive your compliments. I have every reason to be excited."
Holding her phone, she couldn't help but jump for joy.
Then someone occurred to her, and she stopped, gazing eagerly at Sydney and Julien. "Ms. Raines, do you and Mr. Flint live nearby?"
"Yes." Sydney nodded.
The girl's eyes lit up. "Really?"
"Yeah!" Sydney hummed.
"But, considering your and Mr. Flint's status, shouldn't you be living in a more luxurious place?" The girl pointed to Sydney and Julien.
Although Shallow Bay was also known for housing a lot of rich people, the residents there knew it was nothing more than a slum in the eyes of the truly rich.
The real wealthy people would buy land and build their own villas or mansions, and they wouldn't live in such a crowded neighborhood.
That was why she was so surprised.
"This is just our temporary residence," Julien replied, holding Sydney's hand. "We will move out."
Sydney held onto his arm and echoed, "Yes, this place is my property, not his. He just came over to live with me, and it has been a while."
She patted Julien's arm.
He silently approved of it.
The girl nodded in understanding. "Oh, I see. Doesn't it mean I missed many chances to run into you guys?"
The chubby girl wrinkled her nose, feeling dismayed.
Sydney was amused. "Now that you know we will temporarily live here, there will be chances to meet us in the future, won't there?"
"Yeah." Her words immediately cheered up the girl.
Sydney chuckled behind her hand.
This girl was quite lively.
Sydney glanced at her watch and saw that it was getting late. She let go of Julien's arm and said to the girl, "Alright, we still need to buy some other things. Let's talk another time. It's my honor to meet a fan like you. I'm so happy."
She extended her hand.
Feeling fluttered, the girl held her hand. "Okay. It's my honor to meet you and Mr. Flint too. It's my lucky day today, and I wish you happiness together."
She turned to Julien and continued, "Treat Ms. Raines well and never let her down. As for the daughter of the McDaniel family who caused trouble online, you should teach her a lesson and make it right for Ms. Raines."
Julien curled his lips. "I will."
"Deal?" Reluctantly, the girl let go of Sydney's hand.
Julien raised his chin and hummed in agreement.
The girl twiddled her fingers and drew circles on the ground with her toes, hesitating. "And..."
"What is it? Go ahead." Sydney urged gently.
The encouragement in Sydney's eyes relieved the girl. She squeezed her hands for a moment before voicing her thoughts. "Can I keep the photo I took earlier? I want to post it online. If the other fans see it, they will surely envy me. Is it okay?"
She looked at them anxiously, her eyes filled with anticipation. She looked so cute with her puppy eyes.
Sydney couldn't bear to reject it.
But she didn't want to make the decision alone, so she turned to the man beside her.
Julien tenderly nodded at her. "Do whatever you want. You don't have to ask me."
"If so, then I won't ask your opinion." Sydney smiled.
Julien nodded. "Sure."
"Okay then." Sydney her head and laid her eyes back on the girl. "You can keep the photo and post it online, but I have a request."
