Sold To The Mafia Lord

Underhanded Method

Soon, The black Range Rover was about to reach the office building but Amelia asked the driver to park close to a building near Ron’s Headquarter.

“Madam, Master asked me to watch you get in,” the driver said as he was confused why Amelia suddenly asked him to stop close by and not in the garage of the office.

“I just want to get off here, you can watch me go in from here,” Amelia said as she reasoned that it wouldn’t look good if she was linked to their boss, in case she met new people, she didn’t want them to be modest with her because of her identity as their boss’s wife.

And she didn’t want that.

She wanted her few days here at the office to go well.

With that, she opened the car door and the driver gasped “Ma’am”

“Don’t worry, I know what I’m doing” Amelia said as she closed the door and looked left and right before crossing the road and headed towards the front desk of Ron’s Headquarter.

The Front desk floor was really wide and spacious. She checked the time and it was almost 9 Am.

Amelia saw the receptionist behind the desk and she walked towards her.

“Hello…” Amelia said without much expression as she faced the receptionist.

The receptionist was in all smile as she looked at Amelia “How can I help you miss??” The receptionist gazed at Amelia with a discerning eye and Amelia wasn’t comfortable with the receptionist’s gaze at her.

“Well, I’m a new employee here at the top floor… I guess” Amelia said with uncertainty, this was her first time here so she didn’t know if it was the top floor but she knew that she was the CEO’s new assistant.

A hint of mockery flashed through the receptionist’s eyes as she had a faint snare on her face, she thought that Amelia was probably lying cause the top floors were highly restricted areas and not accessible for anyone, and that was the laid down rules.

“Miss I guess you’re at the wrong block, The Ron’s Headquarters is not a place for any random girl to just enter,” the receptionist said not wanting to talk to Amelia anymore which made Amelia also impatient.

“This is Ron’s headquarter so I’m not mistaken” Amelia retorted

The receptionist snorted at Amelia “I advise you get something better to do than waste your time all dressed up just because you want to catch a glimpse of our CEO” The receptionist had seen girls like her who doll themselves up to wait in line for their CEO. who doesn’t want to bed Alexander Ron??

All girls in the capital want to be able to sleep in his arms, so seeing that Amelia was all dressed up for that, she had a complete disdain for her.

“Is this how you usually talk to people?? This is being rude” Amelia said with anger laced in her voice.

With that, some employees gathered around to see what was happening there, some were whispering amongst themselves while some who had heard from the receptionist what was going on snared at Amelia.

She wasn’t having any of these at all, she didn’t blame Alexander that he had to let her come by herself since he said he had something to do but that:

Ash…..

It seemed to be a girl, she wasn’t angry at the fact that he must have a girl outside their bondage called marriage but at least, he should have brought her to the office first before running to his woman.

One side of Amelia felt pity for the girl, she couldn’t be free with her boyfriend and all lovey-dovey with him because of her, she must have create problem for the two love birds.

But turning to face the receptionist again, Amelia was really vexed as to why she got to be bad-mouthed because of a guy who was probably sleeping in a woman’s arm right now, Amelia’s eyes turn bloodshot as she stared at the receptionist as if she was her prey.

“And what if I am truly an employee here??” Amelia said with gritted teeth.

The receptionist rolled her eyes at Amelia, at this point she was convinced that Amelia wasn’t an employee because she didn’t have a work badge or ID card on.Content © provided by NôvelDrama.Org.

“If you truly are, I’ll immediately kowtow for you and resign from my post as the receptionist “The receptionist betted on that because she was convinced that Amelia was a fraud and was just trying to put on airs.

“That’s fine with me,” Amelia said with a tight frown

“I’d advise you don’t get too excited yet cause if it turns out you’re a loose dog who is after a man, you’ll have to pay everybody here, we’re about twelve in total and you’ll pay each of us 15 dollars,” The receptionist said with a profound smile as she scanned Amelia from head to toes.

The employees kept whispering amongst themselves

“She’s such a beauty, I wonder why she just chose to stain her family’s name”

“I’d just advise she go hit her head in the wall and die instead of being so shameless, what a pity”

“Tsk Tsk this is incredulous, waste of spermatozoa to produce nonsense”

The whispers of the employees got to the receptionist’s ear and a smug grin appeared on her face, she wanted the extra cash from Amelia to get a new brand of bag that was reigning in the mall and almost all socialites had the bag, she couldn’t afford to lose out.

Amelia turned towards the door while dialing Alexander’s phone number but he wasn’t answering the call, she tried again and again until she was frustrated but she didn’t let it show on her face.

The receptionist saw that Amelia kept fiddling with her phone and she snarled “What?? So you’ve retorted to an underhanded method of making fake calls, just admit it maybe I can consider giving you some discount” The receptionist really had a foul mouth as she scanned Amelia “and this dresses, if I was told that they were borrowed, I will be so convinced without a doubt, just admit it and beg me” the receptionist said and the other employees felt pity for Amelia while some were disappointed in her for trying to fake calls just to prove a point.

Shameful!
