Sorry Sir I Don’t Want You Back Chapter 16
In love with Cherry?
Those words made Logan's hand stop spinning the glass on the table. His whole countenance changed - the dark, dangerous glint in his eyes was gone, replaced by tenderness, and his lips curled into a soft and gentle smile. Erika was always amazed by how quickly Logan changed. One second, he was like the Devil himself, about to destroy the world; the next, he became gentle because of the mention of Cherish's name!
"She's my life, and you know that," Logan fixed his tender gaze on the glass he had been spinning and caressed it gently as if it was Cherise himself.
"I know," Erika rolled her beautiful baby blue eyes. They had been friends for so long, but she had never seen him act inappropriately or even try to show his love except his 'brotherly' love; that was why she asked her question. "But that was not my question." Logan lifted her head and fixed his eyes on the seductive woman before him, his gentle smile still in place.
His thin lips opened as he finally gave Erika the answer she wanted to hear. "I more than love her."
Erika's perfectly shaped eyebrows raised, silently asking him to explain more.
Logan leaned back in his seat and looked at the club's ceiling. Some sentences are incomplete if you are not reading this novel on . Visit to read the complete chapters for free. The crowd had thinned, and the music had died as the club was nearing its closing time. He closed his eyes briefly, thinking of the feisty girl who had grown into a stunning and noble woman; his smile grew even more tender.
Erika waited patiently as her seductive smile deepened. Even she could feel Logan's overflowing love for Cherise at this moment. It would be good if her two best friends could end up together.Content provided by NôvelDrama.Org.
A waiter suddenly came to them and told them that the club was closing and they needed to settle the bill, cutting their conversation short. Erika gave Cherise's card to the waiter, making Logan chuckle. "What?" Erika flipped her hair over her shoulder and raised an eyebrow, challenging Logan to repay Cherise's money.
"You are really shameless," Logan smirked, and Erika's seductive laughter filled the now-quiet club.
"You know I am," she winked at him, making him shake his head helplessly. He knew the relationship between the two girls, so there was no use stopping Erika from spending Cherise's money tonight. Once the waiter returned the card, they stood to leave. Logan asked for a designated driver from the club and offered to accompany Erika.
The seductive woman, still sober, chuckled, "You don't have to do it. I'm still sober, and there's no danger. I just need to stay in the car, and it will take me back home."
"I've promised Cherry to make sure you arrive home safely, he said, and, ever the gentleman, he opened the Limo's back passenger door for her.
Left with no choice, Erika slid into the door, followed by Logan. After he closed the door, the car drove away.
"You'll do anything Cherise says even if she's not here to see it," Erica chuckled.
"I'll do everything for her those she asks me to and those that she doesn't," Logan answered calmly as he stretched his long legs on the spacious space in front of him.
"Even sacrificing your life for her?" she asked even though she knew the answer.
"Even burning the whole world for her if she wants it." Logan's voice was light, but Erika, having been friends with him for so long, knew how serious he was and could hear the dangerous tinge in his words.
Others might fear him, but Erika was not one of them. She knew his true self. She knew how dangerous Logan could be once it involved Cherise, and she didn't mind it at all. She should even encourage him to do so, especially after another traumatic experience for Cherise of being bullied when marrying Hudson Amery.
"I'll approve if you want to chase after Cherise and make her yours," Erikas said, her eyes flashing with her teasing.
Logan looked outside the car's window. The lights from outside pierced through the darkened window, painting him in a different color and shadow as they passed through the city, still bustling with energy even early in the dawn.
Erika heard his soft chuckle and saw him shake his head.
"I won't chase after her," he said.
For once, Erika was shocked. Most men would undoubtedly try to get the woman they loved...
"You don't want to be her boyfriend? Her husband?" she asked with curiosity.
With his head leaned against the headrest, Logan's deep voice sounded tinged with a smile as he said, "If she needs a brother, I'll be her brother. If she needs a best friend, I'll be her best friend. If she needs a boyfriend, I'll be her boyfriend. If she needs a husband, I'll be her husband. I'll be whoever and whatever she needs me to be."
Hearing his declarations, Erika finally understood what he meant by he more than loved Cherise. He
put her feelings first and foremost and would be there for her always; no matter what she needed, he would give it to her, including any relationship status. He would never force her to
She looked at him and admired his side profile. Logan was really handsome - gentle, yet with that dangerous air around him. Fortunately, she didn't harbor any feelings for him, or she'd be heartbroken. But for once, she was envious of Cherise. It made her wonder... Would there be someone who loved her as much as Logan loved Cherise?
Cherise, unaware of her best friend and adopted brother's conversations, finally reached home with Julian still waiting for her, sitting languidly on the living room couch.
The moment she stepped into the house, Julian went to her and noticed the change in her emotions and the newly opened wound on her arm. His eyes glinted ruthlessly briefly as he knew something must have happened.
With Logan and Erika around her, his sister should have been happy. Nothing should be able to worsen her wound, as they would protect her, and dancing wouldn't affect it. "Brother," Cherise stepped forward and circled her arms around Julian's waist, needing a shoulder to lean on for a while.
Sensing his sister's vulnerability, Julian refrained from asking what had happened. Instead, he hugged his sister back, offering solace only he, as an older brother, could. "Did you have fun tonight?" he asked as he let his sister lean on him.
"I did." Cherise nodded.
Julian pulled back and playfully pinched Cherise's check. "Go have a shower and sleep. You'll need to go to the Angelworld building tomorrow."
Cherise groaned and acted like a spoiled child again, clinging to his arm. "Can I not start. tomorrow?"
"You can ask Grandpa about it." Julian said lazily.
Cherise shivered when she thought of her stern grandpa. She'd rather drag herself to work than be teased by her grandpa.
Julian laughed, seeing her sister's 'fear' of the grandpa. "Go to your room now. Don't forget to reapply the ointment," he ordered her, hinting at her he knew something must have happened at the club, but he'd allow her not to discuss it with him since she didn't want to. "Thank you, Brother," Cherise smiled sweetly and hugged him again.
"Good night," Julian said, wrapping her in his arms and kissing her forehead before letting her go to her room. Once Cherise had entered her room, he dialed Logan's phone and asked, in a dangerously low tone, "What happened at the club tonight?"
Once Cherise settled in bed, her mind subconsciously replayed the scene between her and Hudson, making her seething in fury. 'How dare he still kiss and touch her!' she shouted in her mind and felt like taking another shower and brushing her teeth to wash him off.
Then Finley's words cut through her mind - Hudson was going to marry Emely, and her heart felt like it was broken into pieces again.
What did she expect? Emely was his first love, and he still longed for her. Cherise once accidentally saw her picture in his phone gallery. He still couldn't let her go to the point where they had a relationship behind everyone else and got her pregnant. Cherise had been yearning to have a child with Husdon, but she remembered the harsh words he had spoken to her she wasn't worthy to have his child!
Tears gathered in her eyes, but she quickly hardened her heart. There was no way she would shed another tear for that jerk!
She sneered and thought of how she could finally start her revenge against him tomorrow.
