Spoiled By The Mighty After Dumping The Fuckboy

Chapter 41 Mother-in-law’s Martial Arts Value

“It was three years ago.”

Olinka’s words made Amanda pinch her palms. “How is that possible? You didn’t graduate from university or work three years ago!”

More importantly, she had just gotten married to Halley three years ago.

Olinka laughed smugly. “Is that strange? I never said that I knew Halley in the company. You’re the only one who thinks so.”

For a moment, Amanda’s mind buzzed, and many scenes flashed through her mind like tidewater. What she didn’t have time to think about then became various clues.

“Amanda, I think the company needs to recruit new employees, especially you need a capable assistant.”

“I think it’s better to go to a college in Ducco to recruit students.”

“It’s not necessary to go to a good university. A college student is enough. Anyway, it’s a secretary. As long as she can take care of you, I’m satisfied.”

“Honey, do you think there’s anyone suitable in this batch?”

Two years ago, Amanda hired a new secretary under Halley’s persuasion. He recommended she look through the list of successful candidates. Compared to the other three, Olinka was undoubtedly the best.

Now that she thought about it, this adulterous couple did all of this secretly. It was all to get Olinka into the Sean Group and stay with her so that it would be convenient for them to meet in secret.

“They knew each other three years ago. What was I doing at that time?”

“Amanda, you can’t blame us for this. At that time, you were so busy that you had to go on a business trip every day. Even if Halley hadn’t met me, he would have met someone else who knew him well. So, why are women so persistent about their careers?”

Olinka crossed her arms in front of her chest and sneered like a victor. “See? You’ve worked so hard for so many years, but in the end, you have to give it away.”

“You! You!”

Amanda’s throat was filled with a sweet taste, and she rushed into the cubicle to vomit violently.

She thought of the adulterous couple, who had been messing around with each other day and night when she worked on the projects for the past few years; she felt nausea in her stomach.

If Halley hadn’t appreciated her ability to run the company well, would he marry her three years ago?

No!

The three years of gentle treatment were just because Halley felt guilty. No wonder Halley was so tolerant of her inability to have children. He had already prepared to marry another woman, so the assets under their name were transferred quickly.

The sound of high heels clicking came from behind her. “Amanda, you’ve already lost completely here. Can’t you just let me serve tea and water? Leave as soon as possible if you don’t want to be laughed at. Don’t be so cheeky and refuse to leave, leaving yourself some dignity.”

Amanda’s hand pressed against the wall, and the acid in her stomach made her lose the strength to argue with Olinka. Her eyes were bloodshot as she said in a low voice, “Get out!”

Olinka sneered, turned around, and left.

Hearing the footsteps behind her disappear, Amanda pressed the flush button. It took her a long time to straighten up, her face pale.

She never thought this marriage would be full of betrayal and schemes from the beginning.

A shrill scream suddenly traveled in from the outside.

“Ah— what are you doing?”

“What am I doing? I’ll beat you to death, shameless mistress. You steal someone else’s husband, I’ll beat you to death!”

Amanda’s heart skipped a beat. She abruptly turned around and ran outside.

One in the office was tugging at Olinka’s hair and slapping her across the face.

“Mom!”

Amanda’s expression changed. She rushed over to pull them apart. “Mom, why are you here?”

It was none other than Mrs. Elder Jewell.

“Shameless b*tch, my daughter trained you to be her secretary, but you climbed into my son-in-law’s bed. Were you raised by apes?”

Olinka’s clothes were in tatters, and someone was holding her up. Several scratches had appeared on her face. She covered her face and stomped her feet in shame and anger.

“What do you mean by that? I and Halley? Did it take me alone to start a relationship with Halley? We’ve both really enjoyed each other. Your daughter was cheated on because she’s too old to keep a man!”

“You dare spout sophistry? I’ll tear your face apart!”

“Mom,” Amanda stopped her mother in a hurry and said, “Stop messing around.”

“You’re such a disappointment! She’s already knocking on your door, and you are divorcing. Don’t hide it from me. Don’t stop me!”

Mrs. Elder Jewell didn’t listen to Amanda at all.All content © N/.ôvel/Dr/ama.Org.

“What’s wrong? Why are you quarreling?”

Halley rushed over and felt guilty when he saw Mrs. Elder Jewell. He immediately stood in front of Olinka to protect her. “Where are the security guards?”

“You’re still protecting your mistress, aren’t you?” Mrs. Elder Jewell was furious. “You son of a b*tch, how did you beg me to marry Amanda to you? You said you would protect her forever and not let her suffer!”

Mrs. Elder Jewell’s words were direct, stabbing Amanda in the heart.

“Mom, can you not talk about this here?” Halley was very anxious. “This is the company!”

“I don’t care where you are. I just want everyone to be fair. You cheated on a mistress and want my daughter to leave you with nothing. Even if I die, I will report you to the King of Hell!”

The more Mrs. Elder Jewell thought about it, the angrier she became. She shook off Amanda and slammed her head into Halley.

Caught off guard, Halley and Olinka both fell to the ground.

“You ungrateful wretch!”

Mrs. Elder Jewell hurled her bag at Halley and Olinka. They failed to dodge in time and had to roll and crawl on the ground.

“Where are the security guards, security guards!” Halley bellowed in anger. He finally found an opportunity to grab Mrs. Elder Jewell’s bag and pushed her away. “Have you had enough?”

Mrs. Elder Jewell staggered, and while Amanda was screaming, she was supported by a pair of hands.

“Mrs. Elder Jewell, are you all right?”

A flat voice came from behind her.

Mrs. Elder Jewell came to her senses and was surprised to see the man supporting her. “Mr. Byran, why are you here?”

Iverson let go of Mrs. Elder Jewell and glanced at the man and woman who had just been helped up by the employees of the Sean Group, his eyes indifferent.

Halley suppressed his anger. When he saw Iverson and Mr. Harper suddenly appear, he panicked. “Mr. Harper, this is a misunderstanding. Please don’t mind it. I’ll deal with it right away and continue with the meeting.”

Mr. Harper glanced at him and Olinka and then said coldly, “I think we’d better do it another day. Mr. Sean, you should deal with your family affairs first.”

“Mr. Harper! Mr. Harper!”

Mr. Sean failed to keep Mr. Harper. When he looked back and saw Mrs. Elder Jewell and Amanda, his face turned livid with anger. He grabbed Amanda’s arm and said fiercely, “Amanda, you did it on purpose, didn’t you?”

As Amanda cried out in pain, Halley’s face turned pale.

Iverson was clasping Halley’s arm tightly, his eyes cold. “Mr. Sean, are you sure you want to hit a woman before me?”
