Chapter 16
Chapter 16
Scarletts P.O.V
When you arrive home, as soon as Bri steps out the car she vomits. You reach for her hair, holding it
out he face. Oliver curses, and slams his door shut, turning his gaze to you.
"Do you need anything?"
You shake your head, before it dawns on you that someone's going to be responsible for cleaning it up,
and if you have to take care of Bri, it'd be helpful if Oliver did. You cringe at the chunks of vomit on the
ground.
"Actually, its be amazing if you could clean that's up while I get her downstairs"
Oliver crinkles his nose, before sighing and nodding. He hands you his keys.
"Go get her in, I'm gonna hose it down"
You reach for his arm, giving him a small appreciative smile.
"Thanks Oliver"
"Yeah, don't worry about it"
When Bri stops dry-heaving, you throw he arm over your shoulder and begin walking her into the
house. Upon entering, you frown when she groans, and rubs her forehead.
"My heads pounding"
"I know. How about you get in the shower. That always makes you feel better."
Bri looks up, before she curses and closes her eyes tightly.
"Got a case of the spins"
You roll your eyes when she erupts in a fog of laughter, and wraps her arms around the front of you.
Drunk Bri isn't anything if not overly affectionate
"You're such a good friend"
"Thanks, you too"
You manage to get her downstairs without another episode of throwing up, and lead her to the
bathroom. You deposit her onto the toilet, and move towards the shower, turning the knob before
holding your fingers under the jets to feel it warm.
You quirk a brow when Bri raises her arms.
"Bri, you can undress yourself. Besides, your dress unzips in the back, nothings going over your head"
"Oh shit"
She looks down at herself and giggles
"Can you unzip me?"
"Sure"
You move to unzip her, and help her stand so she can shake her dress off. Left in a pair panties since
she went braless, you back up just as someone knocks on the bathroom door.
Shit, Oliver.
Turning back to Bri, you excuse yourself quickly and exit the bathroom, praying she doesn't fall. You
close the door behind you as you come face to face with Oliver. He wipes his forehead, and shoves his
hands in hips pockets.
"Is she going to be Okay?"
You nod, aware of hoe the tension between you charges alive again.
"Yeah, I just have to get her into bed"
The nights events unfold in your thoughts , and you shudder while taking a deep breath.
I wish he didn't affect me so much. He should not have com tonight.
"I should get back to Bri"
You press your hands against his chest, and push him away gently.
"I have too get in there before she hurts herself"
You watch him, assessing his reaction, part of you wanting him to grab you and pull you into his arms
ad kiss you passionately. Another part of you knows it's heading down a dangerous path, one where
you have a chance of getting hurt.
"Goodnight, Oliver"
Twisting on your heels, you disappear into the bathroom, locking the door behind you for emphasis.
Your eyes meet Bri's behind the glass door of the shower. She waves at you, her lids heavy. She goes
back to standing under the water, and you sigh, plopping down on the toilet before putting your head in
your hands. This content provided by N(o)velDrama].[Org.
"You okay?''
You nod
I really don't want to talk about it. Especially with her right now
"Sorry I ruined tonight"
You twist your head, glancing at Bri as you hear the whiny tone of her voice.
"Oh none of that, no crying. Its fine. Shit happens. I wasn't having that much fun anyways."
Well it was a little, but the last thing I need is a crying drunk girl. Especially Bri, who's already a billion
times more dramatic than the average person.
Bri sniffles, wiping at her eyes and swaying in the shower
"Whoa, lets get you out of here and into bed, does your stomach feel okay?"
She nods, and sighs
"But I don't want to get out"
"Too bad"
You get up, help her finish up, turning off the knob and wrapping her in a towel. Once you're in your
room you give her a t-shirt and a pair of shorts to throw on, and help her climb into your bed, watching
as she cosies up with your pillows and blankets.
God, I'm not tired. All I can think about is Oliver.
You move your garbage cab over to her, before plopping down at the end of the bed.
