Stop, Your Grace!

Chapter 9 A Lying Woman

“It’s all done,” said Donald cheerfully. Yet the next second, he frowned again and looked at Kevin, terrified.

“What’s the matter?” Kevin stared at him with a dangerous look.

“…” Donald hesitated. However, feeling a sharp stare coming from the other side. He could only obediently said: “There is nothing unusual in Miss Lowe. In short, she won’t work.”

Kevin’s gloomy face was instantly filled with anger, “what do you mean? Did you catch the wrong person?”

Donald was so scared that he swallowed his saliva. “Please don’t get mad. We can ask her to see if she’s the one.”All text © NôvelD(r)a'ma.Org.

“Ask her now!” The earth shattered with a roar of rage.

Donald stepped forward, trembling. He took off the rag from Melody’s mouth and asked, “Miss Lowe, do you remember where you were that night when the moon was full a month ago?”

“On a date.” Melody replied concisely and clearly. She frowned and asked doubtfully, “What do you want by locking me here?”

“This is not the point you should care about. Where did you date? Have you ever walked into this castle?”

“I had an appointment with my stepmother, but she didn’t come that night. I don’t remember entering this castle, and I’m sure nothing happened.” Melody said firmly that it did not look like she was lying.

Yet this answer made Kevin agitated inexplicably. He grabbed her chin and said coldly, “Don’t expect that I will let you go if I hear lies. A woman like you who is full of lies is not worth believing.”

Melody frowned. This man, who had repeatedly made rude remarks to her, always aroused her anger for no reason.

She stared at Kevin with disgust and said disdainfully, “Since you don’t believe me, why do you ask me so much questions, which is superfluous!”

Hearing this, Kevin did not get mad, but chuckled instead, “What a sharp-tongued girl! It seems that you need a lesson.”

When the words fell, one hand tore open the countless threads on her body, and the pain of tearing instantly encroached on every corner of her body, showing her teeth.

“Ahhhhhh! That hurts!”

Kevin picked her up by the collar and lifted her up directly from the chair.

Donald looked at this from the side and hurried forward to dissuade him. “Mr. Yule, this little girl doesn’t understand how much power you have in hand.”

“Do you want to intercede for her?” Kevin’s eyes were full of anger.

Donald was terrified. Before he could say anything, Kevin took her out of the laboratory directly.

Kevin opened the door and threw Melody in rudely. Melody fell to the ground, flustered.

Kevin stood straight in front of her and shouted, “Berg!”

An old man in his sixties appeared at the entrance of the laboratory with agility. “At your service, sir.”

“Put this woman into the the dungeon. Without my orders, no one is allowed to give her anything to eat until she is willing to tell the truth,” said Kevin. He crouched down and pinched Melody’s white face. “Woman, I’m warning you. I have plenty of ways to torture you here. You’d better be honest!”

“No! I have never been here, I have never seen you, and I don’t want to have anything to do with you!”

Melody admitted that he had fallen into misfortune for eight generations and did not even know how to get into the devil.

“Fine!” Kevin sneered, stood up and set his order, “lock her up.”

“Certainly, sir.” Berg nodded and looked at Melody sympathetically, sighing silently.

Melody ended up being locked up in the dungeon.

On the way to the dungeon, Melody asked in confusion, “If I die here, does Kevin need to bear legal responsibility?”

Berg, who led the way, turned back with a smile and replied truthfully, “Miss, you are over-worried. No matter what Mr. Yule does, he does not need to take responsibilities because he is Kevin Yule! This name means status, power and wealth.”
