Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance

Chapter 1096

"Honey, do you think there's something wrong with our genes?" Andre mused, lost in thought as he watched their son. Meanwhile, Henry was delighted to claim the grandparents' bedroom.

On another note, Andre's gaze lingered on his wife with a hint of mischief. "You know, the big ones are just prototypes. It's the smaller ones that are the true masterpieces."

Anya felt out of place every day she stayed away from the Cedillo family home. Twice, she almost snuck back to sleep there, but before she could step out, Leo appeared in his pajamas, asking, "All dressed up, where do you think you're going?"

He casually poured himself a glass of water at the dining table, while Anya shifted awkwardly at the door. "Just going for a night run," she mumbled.

Leo set down his glass. "Hold on, let me change, and I'll join you."

Anya fiddled nervously with the doorknob as Leo's presence filled the room.

The master bedroom was reserved for Anya, even though she initially wanted the guest room. Leo joked, "The guest room's closet isn't big enough for even two teddy bears. The master has a walk-in closet, perfect for your clothes and those bears."

"But Chad's paying the rent. I can't just take the master bedroom," Anya protested.

Leo playfully tapped her forehead. "Why don't you know how to take advantage of your boyfriend?"

Anya blinked, "Chad, I'm not with you to take advantage. Besides, relationships should be equal, unless you want me to go Dutch!"

Living together brought its own set of challenges, Leo realized. Scratching his head, he reasoned, "Look, you're only using the master bedroom, while I have the guest room and a study. The combined space I use is bigger than just the master. Plus, you're already helping me earn money. Hiring a financial advisor would be costly. So, get back to sleep. If you keep this up, I'll move to the master bedroom, and you'll have to share it with me!"

Anya quickly retreated to the master bedroom, leaving Leo to ruffle his hair in frustration. "Stubborn little Ms. Anya," he muttered.

Living together was a whirlwind. The first day was a mix of excitement, the second day brought unexpected moods; by the third day, a bit of awkwardness settled in.

Anya gradually noticed how she'd gotten used to having a bathroom all to herself Sharing it with Leo meant brushing teeth together in the

morning. Not wanting to crowne

the

space, she took to the kitchen, and Leo, sensing her unease, joined her there.

Showering in shared spaces meant damp pajamas afterward. Initially eager to cook daily, Anya found she'd overestimated herself. Sometimes she just wanted to sleep in, but doing so meant she couldn't fulfill the "perfect girlfriend" role, cooking all three meals.

Laundry was another hurdle. Alone, hanging underwear outside wasn't a big deal.

But now, seeing both her and Leo's undergarments on display felt oddly intimate.

Leo noticed Anya's recent lack of enthusiasm. When she left without saying where, he promptly followed.

After changing into workout clothes, Leo grabbed his keys and wrapped an arm around Anya's shoulders as they headed out.

In the elevator, Anya was uncharacteristically quiet. Leo glanced at her. "Close your eyes."

"What?"

"Close your eyes," Leo insisted.

Anya complied, only to find Leo's lips meeting hers. Surprised, she opened hernoveldrama

eyes to his deep, reassuring gaze.

Blushing, Anya whispered, "Chad, there are cameras."

Leo chuckled, unconcerned. "So what? A young couple kissing isn't news to the

old timers in security. They've seen it all before."
