Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance

Chapter 1100

The next day, Molly decided to don the little red cap, a postpartum tradition passed down through the Byrne family, now resting snugly on her head. Coleen was baffled; her daughter usually couldn't stand the thing, so why was she wearing it so willingly today?

Adding to the mystery, Chad seemed like he had something on his mind, while Molly was acting overly sweet and attentive. "Chad, let me get you some hot water." "Chad, let me serve you some food."

Coleen swiftly reached out and yanked the hat off her daughter's head. Molly's soft, silky hair tumbled down like a waterfall, and even she was amazed at how smooth it felt!

Grandma Aubree was taken aback, "Darling, why did you wash your hair? Heavens, you're in your confinement period; you shouldn't have done that!"

Molly stayed silent, her eyes darting to Chad for help.

Chad sighed, knowing the jig was up, rubbing the bridge of his nose in frustration.

"Chad! Is this your idea of taking care of Molly at night? If you can't manage her, you're sleeping in the guest house tonight, and I'll stay with her," Coleen announced firmly.

Molly was always testing her family's patience. "Coleen, you're a modern woman, can we not be so old-fashioned? Washing my hair during postpartum is fine as long as I don't catch a cold."

Jade had done the same thing during her postpartum period, ending up sending her husband to sleep in the guest room, with her mother by her side.

Chad was disgruntled, and so was Kendrick.

Coleen lay beside her daughter, "Molly, lucky for you I'm your mom. Just imagine if your mother-in-law had to deal with you. With your stubborn ways, it's like she's your real mom."

Molly pouted, "Then I'm truly lucky. Mom, do you think it's destiny, maybe arranged by my mom and Jade from up above, for us to meet?" Molly asked, testing the waters.

Coleen gazed at the ceiling, her eyes twinkling, "Perhaps. I do hope there are higher powers watching over us, and that Mrs. Cedillo looks after my dear Jade too."

Molly snuggled up to her mom, and the two drifted off to sleep.

Meanwhile, Annie made a surprise return to Newtown.

Her parents were taken aback by her sudden appearance, "Annie, what brings you home? What's Conner been up to lately?"

"Ever since the Emmery incident, Conner's been adamant about keeping us safe, insisting Dad and I stay out of any other business."

"Got it." Annie changed into something more comfortable and headed out to the Nettleton household.

Upon arriving, "Hey there, is the boss around?"

"He's not home."

"Where'd he go?"

"He didn't say."noveldrama

Annie inquired further, "How long has he been gone?"

"About a week."

Annie nodded, "If Conner comes back, let me know. I've got three days off. If it's longer than that, don't bother."

Back at home, the Martin parents were curious, "Annie, why aren't you out with friends?"

"All my colleagues are in Havenbrook."

“Well, what about the ones around here? You've got some time off now, and we can even put some money in your account for a trip. Wouldn't that be nice?"

Annie, sensing her parents' eagerness to get her out of the house, replied, "Maybe I should

Her parents exchanged worried glances, “Annie, your sister hasn't shown up."

Annie remained calm, "I know she's been in contact with you, avoiding me to make me misunderstand Conner and hate him. If she reaches out again, let her know for me: if she doesn't show up soon, I'm going to marry Conner." With that, Annie headed upstairs.
