Chapter 305
Chapter 305
Mia grabbed her phone and quickly punched in a number.
Cooper's eyebrows knitted in disbelief. His sister, of all people, remembered that guy's number, but not
his?
Mia pressed the phone to her ear, waiting a moment before the call connected.
“Hello?” Andre answered.
Under her brother's watchful eye, Mia whispered, “Honey, I've really screwed up this time.”
Andre felt a sinking sensation in his gut. The last thing he wanted was her sweet voice telling him she'd
messed up again.
“This time, you're also in trouble. The big problem isn't solved, and the small problem has already
appeared.” Mia said. Copyright Nôv/el/Dra/ma.Org.
Andre didn’t answered. He didn't understand. What did she mean by 'small problem'?
Cooper had had enough and said, “Tell him to get his ass over here right now.”
Mia spoke succinctly, “I'm at the emergency department of Mercy Hospital. You need to come and sign
some papers as my next of kin.”
Before Andre could respond, Cooper snatched the phone from her hand and hung up. Pointing at Mia,
he gritted out a warning, “We're not done with your mess yet!”
He'd barely been home when this giant problem had erupted. His teacher had already called to inquire
about his situation. In the hospital room, Cooper communicated with his teacher over the phone, “I
need to extend my stay.”
In less than half an hour, Andre's car pulled up at the hospital emergency department. He got out and
walked into the emergency hall.
His arrival stunned the doctors and patients in the emergency department. Andre was here?
Once inside, he quickly asked a nurse, “Where's Mia?”
“Who?” The nurse was taken aback, then she remembered the beautiful pregnant woman who claimed
to be Andre's wife but seemed to have some kind of mental disorder. “She's in bed 6.”
Andre walked into the ward, followed by the curious gaze of the nurses and doctors. Andre pushed
open the door to the ward and saw his wife half-lying on the sixth bed.
“Darling.” As soon as Mia spoke, everyone was taken aback!
The nurses and doctors at the door were shocked. Were they telling the truth? Was Andre really her
husband? Was the baby in her womb Andre's? Was Andre's child on the way?
Cooper looked at the man he had once admired so much, hearing his own sister call him. In that
instant, it felt like a bomb had exploded in Cooper's brain.
“Andre, I thought you guys didn't know each other?!” Cooper asked.
Mia on the bed started to pass her problems to her husband. Andre looked at his furious brother-in-law
and said, “Your sister loves to joke around, so I just played along.”
Cooper clenched his fists, looking at Andre's face and holding back the urge to punch him in public. He
turned to his sister on the bed, “Mia, you really are something!” After that, he stormed out in anger.
Andre walked over to the bedside, looking at his wife lying on the bed, he asked unhappily, “Aren't you
usually the one sending people to the hospital? How did you get hurt this time? Did you forget what I
told you?” She could fight, but she must win.
He frowned, checking his wife's body with a heavy heart. Her arm was fine, no injuries, the neck,
cheeks, both legs, feet, all uninjured. He asked coldly, “Where the hell are you hurt?”
Mia pointed with a pitiful look to her lower abdomen, “Here.”
Andre didn't understand what his wife meant. Plus, the way she spoke subtly, he thought she had
injured her internal organs. “If your organs are injured, then you should rest and recover when we get
home.”
Mia was speechless.
Outside, Cooper began to call his parents, “Did you guys know that my sister got married?”
In the ward, the nurse hesitated with a paper for signatures, “Andre, this is Mrs. Cedillo's medical
record. As her family member, you need to sign it. After signing, we will transfer Mrs. Cedillo to another
ward.”
Andre took the paper and was about to read it when Mia blocked the words. It mentioned her
diagnosis, and her husband would know she was pregnant as soon as he saw it. She wanted to tell her
husband about this important matter herself.
“Honey, are you ready?” Mia asked.
“For what?” Andre was confused.
Mia looked into her husband's eyes, asking, “Are you ready to take care of me and the baby?”
Andre didn’t answer. It was as if a wave had suddenly crashed over him. He sat still, but in that instant,
felt like he was being swept away by the wave. Andre's hand shook, unable to hold the pen. When
people were extremely emotional, their fingers became weak, and they couldn't write anything. Andre
was in such a state; he felt like he couldn't hold onto anything.
His voice was hoarse, “Mia, what did you just say?”
Seeing her husband so shocked that he couldn't react, she repeated, “We're having a baby. Can you
handle it?”
It took Andre a while to find his voice. Looking at his wife on the bed, he experienced the so-called
trembling for the first time, “I can. Even if we have ten kids, I can take care of them!”
“Let's not have ten kids. It's enough if you can educate the two of us.” Mia moved her hands away from
the paper, saying, “The nurse said the baby's father needs to sign. Darling, your signature has to look
good. This is the first time you're signing for us.”
Thus, Andre very seriously wrote his name in the column for family members on the paper. He also
wrote 'Husband' very seriously in the column for relationship with the patient. This was the most serious
he had ever been when writing.
After handing the paper to the nurse, he turned to look at his adorable wife. Yeah, she still acted like a
child. How was it that she was carrying his child in her womb?
“Mia, why are you in the hospital?” Andre asked.
Mia avoided his gaze and said, “Darling, I'd better not tell you. I'm afraid you'll be so mad that there will
be no one to take care of me and our baby.”
While they were talking, Mia's parents rushed over. Madison anxiously questioned her excited son, “Did
you say on the phone just now that your sister is pregnant?”
“Yes, Mom, she's been pregnant for two months! In eight months, I'll have a niece or nephew, but I
didn't even know she got married!” Cooper said.
No one could understand Cooper's anger.
Aaron knew they'd screwed up. He and his wife had been racking their brains each night about how to
break the news to their son, but never thought he'd find out this way. He said, "Cooper, cool your jets.
Your sister just got pregnant, don't scare her."
"Scare her? You think I'm some kind of big bad wolf, capable of scaring her!" Actually, he was the one
who was scared stiff.
But for the sake of the pregnant lady, the three of them tried to keep their cool outside. When they
walked into the hospital room, they all tried to put on a happy face. The first thing they saw when they
walked in was Mia clinging to her husband’s neck like a lifeline, "Honey, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to."
Andre looked pissed as hell.
