Ryan was suddenly reluctant to offend her, but he was still quite angry.
Their eyes met, and Farrah suppressed her rising anger Coming from a friend’s perspective, she reminded him, “You’re getting a bit carried away. You need to take some time to reflect quietly. Otherwise, you won’t go far in your career,”
Her words pierced Ryan like a thorn, hitting him hard and making him instantly aware of his shortcomings.
As he watched her turn and leave, he felt a moment of clarity.
Farrah was right, but he was unwilling to admit it. Since joining Prestige Group, he had indeed felt a sense of superiority and had been a bit arrogant at home.
Meanwhile, Adrian, who was standing not far away, had overheard Farrah’s words. A meaningful expression crossed his deep–set eyes, and his usually cold demeanor softened slightly.
She was more mature and righteous than he had imagined. Despite coming from such a difficult family environment, she hadn’t gone astray. Her values were commendable, which was quite rare.
After Farrah returned to the office, she immediately felt that the atmosphere seemed different. Excited. chatter filled the air.
“Gosh! Mr. Locke is married! Is this true?”
“I just came back from Project Management, and the news has been spreading like wildfire. Apparently. Mr. Locke’s wearing a wedding ring!”
“Which lucky woman is it? Who is she? She’s so blessed!”
“If I could marry Mr. Locke, who’s so handsome and wealthy, I wouldn’t need to sleep at night. I’d just watch him until dawn! Oh, just imagine the joy that would bring.” RêAd lat𝙚St chapters at Novel(D)ra/ma.Org Only
Farrah listened to these remarks and felt a twinge of discomfort. Was it really necessary to be so infatuated?
As she sat at her desk, she discreetly took off the ring from her finger and placed it in her pocket. She was genuinely worried about being discovered as Mrs. Locke.
She dreaded the gossip and wanted to focus on her design work without being accused of relying

With the design tasks already tight, Sarah coming next week to share the spotlight, and also Jami visiting Ronson City to provide assistance, everyone wanted their work selected for acclaim and recognition.
After the gossip, everyone turned their focus back to designing. They realized that marrying Adrian was unrealistic and that they needed to rely on their own abilities.
Two hours later, when Farrah came out of the restroom, her phone rang just as she reached for it. She inadvertently pulled out the ring that Philip had gotten custom–made. It fell silently to the carpet below. She didn’t notice and walked forward as she answered the call, “Hello, Ms. Gray.” Her figure quickly disappeared as she continued, “Okay, I’ll be there shortly.”
Not long after, Germaine, coming out of the restroom, accidentally stepped on something. Taking a step back and looking down, she discovered it was a ring.
She bent down to pick it up, and as she examined it closely, the scene of Adrian’s ring–clad finger flashed

through her mind. Did he lose his wedding ring?
Germaine smiled slightly, feeling a flicker of happiness. “Could this be a sign from above that this marriage won’t last long?”
However, she wouldn’t keep it for herself. Instead, she planned to return it and see how Adrian would
react.
Even now, Germaine found it hard to believe that Adrian had a woman in his heart.
Farrah exited Natasha’s office and hadn’t yet returned to her own when she noticed that the ring in her pocket was missing. Her footsteps faltered as she carefully felt around again. It was really gone!
Panic set in. She hurriedly retraced her steps, trying to recall where she might have lost it.
Remembering the moment she had taken out her phone to answer the call, she rushed back to the restroom door and bent down to search thoroughly. But there was nothing.
Farrah’s face turned pale. How was she going to explain this to Philip? He had said that she needed to wear it at all times.
Adrian wore his ring just fine, so why couldn’t she?
