The morning flies by, Ace has been in all my classes this morning and has literally stuck to me like glue, constantly touching me, it’s so adorable if this is the attention I get after one night away what would happen if I was away for a week?

When the bell sounded for lunch, Ace kissed me and headed off to get our lunch while I headed to my locker. As I walked along the corridors, I noticed a difference in my fellow students. But now everyone’s eyes are zeroed in on me, a few give me shy smiles but the rest seem to be judging me, seeing if I measure up. Like they are waiting for me to prove I’m not good enough.

I give myself a shake. Maybe I am letting my own insecurities get the better of me. I know the boys love me, but there is a niggling doubt in the pot of my stomach that this won’t last, that I don’t deserve my alphas.

When I reach my locker, I reach in, trying to find my wallet at the back when an arm snakes around my waist, pulling me back into a muscular chest. I giggle as a long seemed red rose is held in front of me. I bury my nose in the petals and inhaled its scent.

Soft lips press a k**s behind my ear, “my brother is not the only romantic in the family you know.” I turn in Lexi’s arms and place my hands on the back of his neck, “thank you baby, it’s a very romantic gesture. Now give me your lips, my gorgeous, sexy man.”

He smirks as he leans down and captures my lips. I hear a few girl’s sigh nearby. I feel him grin before he dips me into a romantic pose and devours me passionately. There are cheers around us and some hecklers shouting for us to get a room.

My cheeks heat, but I can’t stop the massive smile on my face. Lexi takes my hand and we head to the cafeteria. Our friends are already sitting at our table. Lex sits and pulls me onto his lap.

Ace pushes a tray towards me full of my favourite foods, “here you do princess, do you need anything else?” I lean over and give him a quick k**s on the lips and thank him.

“So what did you boys get up to while Ash and I were away last night?” the atmosphere changes in an instant. Ace places a hand on my thigh, rubbing his thumb across my skin. “What?” I ask.

Ace looks at me with a frown, “we met your dad last night in Bridford,” they explained what happened and that they had felt pushed into inviting him for dinner, “we told him you and Ash had gone to visit family, so we can say you are not back yet so you don’t have to be there, you look so like your mum, he will know who you are in an instant.”

I feel Saffy nudge me in my head, “what do you think Saffy? Part of me is scared, but part of me wants to confront him.” I feel her bristle, “I think we have hidden enough, Star. It’s time to stand up. He kidnapped and raped our mother, he is the reason she is dead. We have a few days to learn about our powers. Let’s give him what he wanted, a powerful daughter.”

Everyone is staring at me, “sorry, I was talking to Saffron, we think it’s time to stop hiding, we want to confront him, let him know exactly who we are.”

Ace and Ash look at me with apprehension, but Lex grabs my chin and smirks at me, “that’s my fairy warrior, let’s see what he is made of, the last time he met someone with your powers he took her before her first shift and kept her drugged, he has never had to come up against those powers.”

Looking around the table at our friends, “I will need you. Help guys, I need to train my a*s off, make myself strong. I also need to train with my powers. Can I count on you to help?”

Every one of them smirked at me. The warriors rubbed their hands together in glee, s**t I think they might kill me. Max reached across the table, “of course we will help you, just try not to fry us with lightning, ok?”

I purse my lips and give her my thinking face, “I will try my best, Max, I will try my best.” She pokes her tongue out and throws a French fry at me.

When the bell rings Lex and I head to French, arranging to meet the guys at the old training field at the far end of our pack lands, no one goes there anymore because the new training grounds have state-of-the-art facilities, and an inside arena.

Once we get home, we decide to shift and let our wolves stretch their legs. We will get to there much quicker than by car. We grab our training clothes and bundle them up so we can carry them in our mouths and head for the forest.

We walk to a clearing where we meet everyone. We had already discussed the fact that both Max and Suzie don’t have their wolves yet, and Ashton and Ace have agreed to let them ride on their backs.

Ash grabs Suzie from behind, tickling her, I laugh at her face, poor Suzie is still getting used to being around the cool guys, and she is very aware of the fact that I know how she has always had a huge crush on Ashton, seeing her squirm makes me giggle.

“Your with me Suzie Sue, are you excited to ride your future Alpha?” I can’t help it. I burst into laughter. She looks like she might faint.

“Ha ha Star, it’s not funny,” she gives me a shove.

We quickly shift and the girls climb on the backs of Ash and Ace, everyone stares at Saffron when we walk into the clearing, so we preen and give out for a good shake, “f**k Saffron, you are beautiful, but also a little scary at the same time.” I head over to Maxine and Ace and lean up to muzzle her leg. She strokes my head and whispers in awe, “you are so soft, Saffy.”

We take off to the training grounds.

We train in our human forms for a few hours; the boys teaching us new defence moves. Alpha and Luna turn up in an SUV with refreshments, including some much-needed hot chocolate.

Everyone chats about what is going to happen on Friday at the dinner, and what training we think we will need. But all too soon it’s time for me to show everyone what Saffy and I can do. This should be interesting.
