Chapter 390
Allison popped open a bottle of wine, poured a glass, and handed it over to Lucian. He downed it in Material © NôvelDrama.Org.
one gulp, then set the glass down. Allison refilled it. This time, he didn’t drink it. Instead, he gripped not
only the glass but also her fingers and suddenly yanked her
towards him.
Allison yelped in surprise. The glass slipped from her hand and wine splashed everywhere.
“Sir…
“I’ve told you, call me Lucian.”
He pulled her down onto the couch. Allison looked at him, “Lucian.”
“You mad at me?” His voice was a bit husky.
Allison clamped her mouth shut and didn’t answer.
Lucian leaned in to kiss her, his tongue exploring her mouth. He kissed her deeply as Allison wrapped
her arms around his neck. They made out passionately for a while.
The couch wasn’t that cramped, but their make-out session wasn’t exactly unrestrained. Allison’ shifted
around and suddenly slipped off the couch, in a split second, Lucian flipped over to cradle her in his
arms. His back was pressed against the carpet. Allison was sprawled on top of him, “You okay?”
“I’m fine.” His voice was low and sexy, “You’re not heavy.”
Allison clamped her mouth shut again, “So, if I were heavier, you wouldn’t protect me like this?”
“That’s not what I meant.” He reached out, pinching her nose lightly. “Still mad?”
Allison huffed lightly. “What do you think? I waited for you for two hours. Lucian, you promised to watch
a movie with me.”
She sounded upset.
Lucian raised a finger, brushing it against her nose, “Sorry I went to the cinema, but by the time I got
there, you had already left.”
“I waited for you for two hours. I waited until 10:30 and you were still a no show. You didn’t go there at
midnight, did you?”
Allison can’t believe that he would go there in the middle of the night. Lucian’s gazes flickered slightly.
He did go there at midnight. He knew Allison would have already left by then, but he went to the
cinema anyway.
“So, tell me why you didn’t show up on time?”
Lucian replied, “Something came up, so I got delayed.”
Allison persisted, “What came up?”
He said, ‘It’s none of your business.”
Allison huffed again, standing up. “If it’s none of my business, then I won’t ask. Mr. Lindberg, do you
need more drinks? Or a fruit platter? If not, I’ll wait outside until you need something.”
Lucian chuckled. He knew she was mad at him. He reached out and grabed her waist before she can
leave. They tumbled onto the soft couch together. Lucian held her, resting his chin on her shoulder, “I’ll
tell you, but you can’t get mad.”
“Mmm.”
“That night Penelope came to find me. She’s pregnant, and she was very emotional.”
“So, you stayed with her?”
Lucian laughed helplessly, “Isn’t it because you went to Epic Entertainment? Did you do something to
upset her? That afternoon, she kept calling me. I had a meeting, so I didn’t answer. She came to find
me at night, crying and making a scene. It gave me a headache. You know she’s been pregnant for a
while. If anything happened to her…”
‘So, you went to be with your fiancee and left me hanging for two hours.”
“I’m sorry.” He apologized sincerely and planted a soft kiss on her cheek.
She still ignored him and he had to comfort her soothingly. He’d never had to treat someone like this
before. Allison was his first.
They were like a young couple in love. When the girl got upset, the boy would gently comfort her, kiss
her cheek, and promise not to do it again. Allison suddenly felt tears welling up in her eyes. She didn’t
know how to describe her feelings at that moment. She suddenly didn’t know who she was to him. Was
she his mistress? His girlfriend? But he’d already engaged.
