The CEO's Amazing Ex-Wife Is Back (Thalassa and Kris)

Chapter 204

Kris's body shook as he continued to puke. He hadn't eaten a proper meal in two days, so what was coming out of his mouth was mostly bile.

His throat stung, and his stomach felt like it was twisting itself into knots. After what felt like forever, the retching finally stopped. With trembling hands, he flushed the toilet and pushed himself up from the floor. Walking to the sink, he stared into the mirror. He rinsed his mouth and spat, trying to get rid of the vile taste that lingered. But no amount of water could wash away the bitterness he felt inside.

That's when he saw Thalassa through the mirror standing at the door.

"Are you okay?"

Kris froze, his heart twisting painfully at the sight of her. He wanted to pull her close and hug her and thank her for giving him such a beautiful son, but all he could feel was the rage bubbling up inside, clawing at his chest.

He hadn't said anything to her outside the house because he'd been afraid he would say something he would regret, but now it was too much. It was consuming him.

He snapped.

Turning sharply, he stormed toward her. Before she could react, he grabbed her shoulders and pinned her against the wall, his grip firm. Thalassa gasped, staring back at him with wide eyes.noveldrama

Angry tears filled his eyes, blurring his vision as he glared into hers. "Why?" His voice cracked with emotion. "Why did you do this to me?"

Thalassa stared up at him, her breath coming in short, ragged bursts as she took in the raw pain in his eyes. Her heart clenched, guilt mixing with the pain. She tried to hold back her own tears, but they burned behind her eyes. "Kris..."

"No!" Kris cut her off, his voice trembling with fury. "You kept my son from me! How could you? How could you do something like this?"

"How... how did you find out?"

"How did I find out?" Kris's voice dripped with disbelief. "That's what matters to you right now? Not the fact that you kept this from me for years?"

"I was going to tell you," Thalassa whispered, her voice barely audible. She couldn't meet his eyes.

"When?" Kris demanded. "In another three years? Five years? How can you be so cruel?"

Thalassa's breath caught in her chest. She had to remind herself to stay calm, but his accusation cut deep. Her voice trembled with

emotion as she shot back, "You net

didn't want him, remember? You didn't believe me when I told you I was pregnant, Kris. You kicked me out of your life!"

Kris's anger faltered for a moment, the weight of her words sinking in. He nodded.

"Yes, I was a fool, I know," he admitted, his voice slightly lower now. "I was an imbecile for not believing you about the pregnancy. But if I'd known-if you'd told me about Alex-I never would have rejected him. You know that perfectly."

"I don't regret not telling you back then!" Thalassa shot back, her voice quivering. "You still believed in your mother. You would've let her into my son's life, and I wasn't going to allow someone who tried to kill my son to be close to him."

Kris's eyes blazed. "Stop calling him your son. He's OUR son. The fact that you kept him from me doesn't change that."

"I did what I had to do to protect him. It was my duty to keep him safe from your dispicable family. That doesn't make me a cruel person!"

Kris's face twisted in anger. "Does being a dutiful mother also include lying about your son's death?" Thalassa's eyes widened. "What are you talking about?"

"What? Are we playing pretend now?" Kris let out a sharp, bitter laugh. "Ever since you came back, almost all we've talked

about-everything you've thrown in my face-was the loss of our child. I've been blaming myself for his loss. Why would you use the 'loss' of our child as a weapon to destroy my mother when it was never even true?"

Thalassa's heart lurched, his words striking her like a blow, breaking her heart into a million pieces.
