THE CEO’S VENDETTA

Hidden things

He walked through the terminal, with his suitcase rolling behind him. He could feel the eyes of the people around him, but he didn’t care. All he could think about was seeing my wife again. He stopped at the baggage claim, waiting for his suitcase to arrive.

As he waited, he felt a tap on my shoulder. He turned around, and there she was. His heart skipped a beat, and he was at a loss for words. She smiled, and he knew everything was going to be okay.

He took a step towards her, and she reached out to hug him. He held her tight, savoring the moment. “I have missed you so much,” he said, my voice breaking.

“I’ve missed you too,” she said, tears streaming down her face. They stood there for a moment, lost in each other’s embrace. Then, he pulled back and looked her in the eyes. “I love you,” he said. She smiled, and said the words I had been longing to hear.

They walked out of the airport towards the car, hand in hand.

So, I want to meet this Claire Matthews, he said anxiously. She looked at him and rolled her eyes. Is something wrong? he asked her. She hesitated a bit and said, she is in the hospital, she collapsed this morning.

Not really knowing what to say, he found himself saying “what! ” “what happened to her?” .

I don’t know, she just slumped after I sent her packing from the house.” His wife replied unconcerned.

“Forget about her”, she finally said actually feeling happy but worried.”

“Is there something you are not telling me dear?” he sked.

She beckoned on my to bring my ears closer and whispered, “our son left with her and he’s not back. I feel she has stolen his heart.”

He looked at her concerned, “this demands wisdom “, he thought.

(Narratior POV)

Unknown to Alex, his parents had a reason why he should not get married to Claire.

Right from the first day, Mrs Reynolds set her eyes on Claire, she recognizes her as the daughter of Henry Matthews who they took advantage of many years ago.

Henry Matthews was a high profile colleague as well as Mr James Reynolds who has the former CEO of VisionTech.

Mr Henry Matthews and Mr James were knew themselves right from college days as Claire and Alex, but they were close friends.

They did almost everything in common and their parents knew themselves, Mr Henry Mathews was a very bright and brilliant student who was also the best in his class. Alex’s father, Mr James Reynolds was not as brilliant in academics but he was good in tech and was interested in machines, cars e. t. c.

They went to the same college and eventually graduated together and with good results.

They tried working under different people in several offices but they did not get the satisfaction they wanted.

They engaged in different engineering jobs but they wanted more, then they sat down one day and decided.

With their knowledge in technology and business so far, they decided to setup a business which will be headed by Mr James Reynolds, making them co founders.

Both of them worked very hard, bringing suggestions and contributing financially and materially, with Mr Reynolds working with other brands. Everyone thought Mr Reynolds was the owner, but Mr Henry Matthews was the actual brain behind the company survival.Exclusive © content by N(ô)ve/l/Drama.Org.

Unfortunately, there was no documentation stating that the company was a partnership company with co founders, Henry never had that thought of making one.

Their company grew large, they worked day and night , they had no family (spouse or children). While Mr Matthews focused on the proposal, business and advertising content, Mr Reynolds did the signing of documents and submitting of business proposals with major organizations and companies and the technology development part of the company.

With the great proposal content, the little company VisionTech got grants and loans and expanded form the government, wealthy individuals and organization.

“I am swapped already”, “I have been working without rest., James said dropping the documents in his hands on the table while supporting his head with his hand and a little frown on his brow.

Henry looking up from the table encouraged,” you have to go through this document, this is what we have been waiting for. ” It determines if this company stands or not “.”Just understand what is written on the paper, I trust you will deliver effectively and efficiently “.

They have to convince the government to receive a grant, this document that James is to present tomorrow has the budget of how to build the company, get machines and get Vision tech to be a standard tech company. Henry has devoted a lot of time and resources, of course sleepless night in drafting the proposal for submission.

And of course, they got the grant and the had more work to do.

The location was perfect for a tech company. It was a large, open space, with high ceilings and big windows that let in plenty of natural light. There were exposed brick walls, and concrete floors that had been polished to a glossy sheen.

The office was divided into different sections, with areas for collaboration and creativity, as well as quiet spaces for focused work. This was Henry’s favorite place, he stays here all through to create, plan and write proposals.

There was a kitchen and a break room, and plenty of space for meetings and events. In the center of the office was a large, open area, where employees could gather to brainstorm or just relax.

All together, the employees were close to twenty including Henry and James, they employed two non tech based staffs, one in charge of the kitchen and the other cleaning and maintaining the company space.

Scattered around the office were a variety of machines and computers, each one serving a different purpose. There were 3D printers, laser cutters, and CNC machines, as well as a few old-school typewriters.

In one corner was a bank of servers, humming quietly in the background. And scattered throughout the office were small devices, different types of products that the company was working on.
