Chapter 383
Chapter 383
Charles had an incredible ability to take control in moments like this, gradually guiding Noelle's emotions as he deepened their kiss.
They were so absorbed in the kiss that it was only after a long while that Charles finally released her lips. He rested his forehead against hers. His breathing was heavy, and he gently caressed her cheek with his thumb. "You're mine. Why would I need to be jealous?"
"Mm, you don't need to be," Noelle murmured, her mind fuzzy from the intensity of the kiss. She was so lost in the moment that jealousy seemed like the least of her concerns.
Her heart, however, was filled with joy. No matter what Charles said, she was happy because it showed how much he cared for her. "You don't need to be jealous, and you shouldn't be. Because aside from you, I can't possibly like anyone else, and I won't give you a reason to be jealous."
"Hmm, that's more like it," Charles responded with a satisfied hum, pinching her nose playfully. "But don't think I'll let you off that easily. What's the deal with that man?"
Noelle blinked, a bit taken aback. She had assumed Charles was still preoccupied with the events of Winter and Xavier's wedding or the situation with Sean, but it turned out he was concerned about Yevgen instead.
As she realized this, Noelle could not help but inwardly chastise Sean. That man had clearly gone and tattled on her to Charles.
Feeling a slight pressure on her waist, Noelle realized Charles was not gripping her hard, but it was enough to cause a little discomfort. She gasped softly. "Be gentle. Why are you gripping me so hard?"
"What were you thinking about?" His deep voice resonated near her ear as his warm tongue teasingly flicked against her earlobe.
Noelle shivered involuntarily, trying to push Charles away. However, he was not about to let her go that easily. "Hmm? Thinking about another man while you're with me?"
"No!" Noelle protested, pouting as she stared up at him. He claimed not to be jealous, but his jealousy was practically palpable.
She had just zoned out for a
moment, and he had already

She bit her lip, her eyes darting around as she wrapped her arms around his neck. She leaned in to whisper teasingly, "Oh, I see now You're feeling insecure, aren't you, Mr. Hoffman? You need to realize that you're one of the top men in this city. Content belongs to

Charles hummed, clearly pleased by her words. The warmth of her breath against his neck made him shiver, so he leaned down and playfully bit her neck, burying his face in the crook of her shoulder.
"You're not foolish. That's why you ended up with me. But that doesn't stop those annoying people from trying to get close to you. Just look at today— so many people were eyeing you. It made me uncomfortable."Content protected by Nôv/el(D)rama.Org.
Hearing this, Noelle could not help
but laugh. "No one was staring at me. If anything, they were all staring at you. Not only were there plenty of women watching you at the banquet today, but even some of the men couldn't take their eyes off you.
"If anyone should be feeling uneasy, it's me."
She held onto Charles's neck, pulling him closer. "Charlie, you know, you're really cute when you're jealous."
