Chapter 1364 Varryn Seaborn
Robin quickly understood that Varryn was suggesting they keep things quiet to avoid drawing unnecessary
attention.
He was sure that Varryn held many secrets, all of which were crucial to maintaining stability in the 18 cities of Rosha.
For now, everything that had transpired today would remain a secret from the Crownward Syndicate outside Rosha.
Since Rita’s whereabouts were still unknown and Shirley’s soul was likely being coerced somewhere, Robin had no choice but to be patient for the moment.
He slowly turned to Corwin. “I could have destroyed the entire Black Faith Order, but for now, I’ll let you live. If you act out again, you won’t be so lucky.”
Corwin bowed deeply. “Thank you for sparing me. I swear to serve you faithfully for the rest of my life. I’ll follow any command you give without question.”
Robin stepped on Corwin’s shoulder. “Your words mean nothing to me. Just remember this–anyone who betrays me never survives.
“Now, get up. For now, you’ll oversee the Black Faith Order. If even a single word of what happened here leaks out, I’ll destroy all of Rosha.
“Archmage Varryn, lead the way. We need to talk in private.”
Caius, Dante, Kobe, and the rest soon came near Robin.
He shot them a cold glance and walked away.
They realized their earlier actions had cost them this powerful man’s trust.
Ryleigh and Alaric stepped in front of Robin and bowed. “Thank you for saving our lives.”
Robin pondered for a moment and tossed the Blackfaith Seal toward Ryleigh. “Keep it. I don’t need it anymore.”
Varryn led Robin and Daphne out through a door at the back of the Black Faith Order. They mounted an exotic beast and rode off.
Half an hour later, they reached a different peak of Mount Zhisall–this one called Light Keep.
A lone pavilion stood at the top, with cliffs dropping away in all directions.
Varryn bowed. “Mr. Ramsey, this is my home. Please come in.”
Robin looked at the residence, perched high on the mountain like a place out of legend.
It was the legendary place where the Black Faith Order had locked Varryn away.
Inside the courtyard, the setting was elegant and peaceful.
There were pavilions, curved bridges, and clear flowing water.

The whole place looked like something out of a dream.
Servants and maids moved gracefully, tending to the scenery with quiet care.
It felt completely separate from the dark, heavy world of the Dark Syndicate.
“Welcome back, Árchmage Varryn.”

Robin noticed how everyone here was stunning–maids with poise and charm, men with sharp features.
It reminded him of the world he came from–Earthend–except for their unusual clothes.
Varryn caught Robin’s gaze and smiled slightly.
“Does this place feel strange to you, Mr. Ramsey?”
Robin chuckled. “No. This feels normal. It’s the world outside that’s lost its way.”
Varryn looked at Robin closely. “Let’s talk in the inner hall.”
They walked together through gardens filled with sunlight, surrounded by greenery and water. Robin finally felt some of his tension lift.
The air here seemed fresher and freer than outside. noveldrama
They stepped into a spacious reception hall.
Music played softly, and candle smoke drifted through the room.
The courtyard felt peaceful, almost like a breath of fresh air.
Robin watched Varryn pour tea for him and Daphne, his movements smooth and graceful.
A smile crossed Robin’s face. “Archmage Varryn, you still carry the elegance of the Lightborn Sect.”
Varryn’s hand shook. Tea spilled onto the marble table.
Two shining lines of text appeared on the table’s surface.
“In a world of chaos, I remain clear; while others drown in illusion, I stay aware.”
Varryn calmly filled their cups again and gently wiped away the spilled tea.
After a moment of silence, he sipped from his cup.
It felt as though he was lost in his world, talking to no one but himself.
Sixty years earlier, a terrible war broke out in the Netheris Domain.
The Lightborn Sect clashed with the Dark Syndicate in a brutal fight for survival.
The Dark Syndicate, cold and cunning, soon gained the upper hand.
More and more people in the domain began to side with them, believing their promises.
The Dark Syndicate claimed their teachings would bring good to all and quickly gained support.

Chapter 1364 Varryn Seaborn
The Lightborn Sect was defeated, and the Lord Lightborn had no choice but to flee.
The Lightborn Sect’s High Pontiff couldn’t accept their defeat. He stood by powerlessly as the Dark Syndicate twisted people’s minds with their wicked beliefs dragging the world into chaos.
Lies and conflict spread like wildfire.
Netheris Domain, once filled with peace and warmth, turned into a nightmare.

But even then, the people, blinded by the Dark Syndicate’s words, believed their suffering was meant to be.
They thought only through hardship could they be rewarded in the next life.
Seeing no other way, the Lightborn Sect’s High Pontiff made a painful decision.
He sent the Lightbringer, the young Lord Lightborn, and an ancient relic capable of holding back Netheris’s fall to another world.
It was the last hope for the Lightborn Sect.
He dreamed that Lord Lightborn would someday return to save their homeland and bring back peace and freedom.
Robin lowered his teacup, interrupting Varryn’s story.
“So, the Lord Lightborn left for Earthend 60 years ago?
“And that artifact you spoke of–could it be this?” Robin placed the dragon dagger down.
Varryn trembled and dropped to his knees. “Mr. Drakebane, I’ve waited so long for this moment.”
“Get up first.” Robin reached out and helped Varryn up.
“After the fall of the Lightborn Sect 60 years ago, the High Pontiff ordered the Lightbringer to flee with the young Lord Lightborn. They crossed the barriers and escaped to Earthend.
“Back then, the Dark Syndicate had no idea what had happened.
“It wasn’t until ten years later, when one of our own turned against us, that Dark Syndicate found out the Lord Lightborn and the ancient artifact had been left on Earthend.
“So, the Dark Syndicate’s High Pontiff sent his third son, Caym, to secretly enter Earthend.
“He had another task as well–to spread their beliefs and slowly bring Earthend under Netheris Domain’s control.
“But even after all this time, there was no sign of the Lord Lightborn.
“Then, 20 years ago, word came from the Dark Woods. A huge fight had taken place.
“All I heard was that the Dark Syndicate caught a man from Earthend and locked him away in the 18th level of hell.”
Robin’s eyes widened. “That happened 20 years ago?”
Varryn nodded. “Yes.”

Varryn nodded again. “That was what Caym reported. But after the man was taken, no one ever heard of him again.”
Robin abruptly stood up. “The mystery of the Battle of Dragon Ridge Valley 20 years ago and the Young Lord Dragon’s disappearance are finally connected.”
