The Divorced Girlboss’ Regret ( Wyatt Coleman’s )

Chapter 8

Ann burst into laughter when she recalled the scene just now.

Hugh had knelt on the ground and begged desperately for Wyatt’s help. He looked extremely embarrassed

Ann’s second uncle, Weston, who had always been at odds with her, wore a dark expression.

After all, Hugh had been invited by Weston while Wyatt had been invited by Ann, and their actions

reflected on the host’s integrity

It was evident that Weston’s ego had been bruised in front of Ann this time.

“Hey, why did you save that old man? He couldn’t even diagnose the illness properly, but he acted like he knew everything. No one would’ve minded if he died.” Ann nudged Wyatt with her elbow.

“He’s just a holistic healer. It’s normal if he couldn’t tell that there were parasites,” Wyatt replied calmly.

“But you’re also just a holistic healer. How could you tell?” Ann questioned curiously.

Wyatt chuckled. “Don’t compare me with others. It wouldn’t be fair!”

“You-

Ann looked at Wyatt’s departing figure and felt shaken.

Although he had said it implicitly, she could tell the meaning behind his words.

“What an arrogant man!”

Ann’s heart fluttered. She had thought that she was arrogant enough, but Wyatt’s demeanor was even more arrogant. Moreover, he seemed to have the ability to back it up.

“What kind of man is he?” Ann murmured to herself, her curiosity about Wyatt piqued.

After they left the hospital, Wyatt called Spencer to remind him to send the crimson mushroom to him

tonight.

Not long after that, Hayley called.

Wyatt hesitated briefly before answering.

“Wyatt, did you hit my mom and Matt? Hayley asked straightforwardly as soon as the call connected.

Wyatt responded faintly, “Yeah.”

“Wyatt, how could you do this? understand that my mom and Matt haven’t always been kind to you. “We’ve been together for three years. We’ve only just gotten divorced, and now you’re hitting them. This really makes me question your character.”

Hayley’s voice grew furious as she spoke. “Are you retaliating because they mocked you while you were signing the divorce papers?

So, that’s how you see me.” Wyatt laughed bitterly. “In that case, I have nothing else to say. Goodbyer

“Wait, Wyatt.”

Hayley remained silent for a few seconds, then said, “Sorry, I spoke too harshly, I just want to know why you hit my mom and Matt.”

*They were going to burn my daughter’s clothes. So, I taught them a lesson. Is there a problem? Wyatt

replied calmly.

“So, that’s the reason”

Hayley understood now. She knew how important the clothes were to Wyatt. He had handmade those for their daughter.

They symbolized his love for their daughter.

“Wyatt, I’m sorry. My mom and Matt have crossed the line this time.”

After Hayley apologized, she waited for Wyatt’s response, but it never came.

She sighed, “Wyatt, is this how it’s going to be for us? I actually hoped that we could still be friends despite being divorced..

“I don’t know why, but it feels strange not seeing you in the office. It’s like I’m missing a sense of security.

Wyatt chuckled coldly at her words.

Wyatt believed that it wasn’t just security that she lacked. There was more that she had yet to realize.

She was oblivious to all the troubles that he had secretly gone through just to help her. Without him, Hayley wouldn’t have achieved the success she enjoyed today.

Wyatt laughed bitterly. “Hayley, do you realize how childish and shameless your words sound? Imagine if, at my proudest moment, I selfishly cast my wife aside. Instead of sharing my joy with her, I-”

Wyatt gritted his teeth.

“I destroy all her hopes! You knew how much our daughter meant to me. You…. are actually worse than a beast! How could you be so heartless?

“You’ll carry the weight of your actions for the rest of your life. The ghost of our daughter will haunt you like a relentless nightmare.

“Hayley, you deserve to go to hell!” Wyatt said, seething with anger.

Hayley’s body trembled as she held the phone. Her face was drained of color.

Wyatt’s harsh words had shattered her heart.

“I’m sorry, Wyatt. I’m sorry…” Hayley sobbed painfully.

“I’ll prove it to you. The losses I’ve endured will be repaid a thousand times over! I’ll become the most

successful businesswoman in Yonada.

“My wealth will exceed billions, trillions even! I’ll be just like Ann Moore. I’ll be the queen of the business world. I’ll be a legend!” Hayley screamed.

“Alright, I’ll wait and see how you’ll become a legend.” Wyatt hung up the phone. He wanted to laugh.

A legend? The current situation was on the verge of collapse.

It must be acknowledged that Hayley Pharmaceuticals‘ best–selling product, the children’s cough medicine, had remarkable efficacy. It was the best–selling in the market among its kind.

Hayley Pharmaceuticals had surged in prominence in the industry because of this product. Material © NôvelDrama.Org.

When the company had faced bankruptcy back then, Wyatt had discreetly provided Hayley the prescription for the cough medicine. The prescription had revived her company and propelled it to its

current success.

However, the main herb for this medicine, the azure grass was very rare. This herb was delicate and difficult to cultivate.

It was Wyatt who had created a large enchantment circle within the expansive medicinal field of Hayley Pharmaceuticals. He had spent three months creating an environment conducive for the growth of the

azure grass,

Thanks to his efforts, the azure grass thrived within the enchantment circle, continuously supplying the

raw materials to the company.

However, Wyatt’s strength hadn’t fully recovered. The enchantment circle was incomplete and required

monthly maintenance to sustain its effects.

Without the monthly maintenance, the azure grass would wither. This would jeopardize the production of Hayley Pharmaceuticals‘ flagship product.

In fact, Wyatt didn’t need to take any action. After all, Hayley Pharmaceuticals would collapse on its own.

Wyatt yearned for the da

to come for Hayley to realize her mistakes.

He wanted her to kneel and repent for his poor daughter.

Wyatt wanted justice for his daughter!

He longed for that day.

At this moment, Ann walked up from behind and said, “Wyatt, Toledo Corporation is hosting a banquet at the Tivoli Mansion tonight. Do you want to go?”

“I’m not interested,” Wyatt answered. His interest was solely on obtaining the reptilian grass to regain his

strength.

“Our subsidiary, Starlight Pharmaceuticals, will be choosing some partners and signing some major

contracts.”

Ann’s eyes gleamed, her demeanor exuding grace.

“Hayley will be attending as well…” she added.

Wyatt looked up at Ann, who was beaming with radiance. “When and where will it be?”
