Chapter 2
Chapter 2
Olivia didn’t care about the Kinsmans or the Clarkes in the slightest.
But back then, she swore that as long as she was alive, she would come back and torture Gianna to
death.
She wouldn’t let Gianna get away with betraying the Kinsmans and killing Grandpa.
Most of all, she wouldn’t bear the infamy and injustice for nothing. She wouldn’t let those who had hurt
her and delighted in her suffering go.
Suddenly, her a**istant, Gideon, said respectfully, “Miss Clarke, it’s time for us to go. Mr. Kinsman’s car
has reached the foot of the mountain.”
Olivia’s eyes turned cold. She put on her sungla**es again and said, “I have to go, Grandpa. I’ll visit
you again.”
The next time she visited would be the day that Gianna died!
Then, she walked down the mountain in her high heels. “Is everything ready for the charity dinner?”
“Yes, I’ve banned Gianna Clarke from the International Council of Nonprofits as per your instructions.
She got a reputation for being the Charity Princess after making a bunch of donations in old Mr.
Kinsman’s name. But now that she’s banned from the dinner and her true colors are exposed, we’ll see
how she can become Mrs. Kinsman!”
Olivia nodded with satisfaction. “Well done. Oh, and please keep an eye on Ezra and make sure he
doesn’t come back. I don’t want him causing trouble.”
Ezra was her son. He was a little devil incarnate who loved to stir up trouble.
“Yes, Miss Clarke.”
The two of them made their way down the mountain, but unexpectedly, they ran into their enemy.
William and his men were on their way up the mountain.
The tall and handsome man was surrounded by bodyguards in black. He was dressed in black, and his
deep and narrow eyes were as sharp as a hawk’s. Like a king giving his orders, he exuded a sense of
superiority with every move.
They hadn’t seen each other for five years. He appeared more mature, noble, and inviolable than
before.
Under his leadership, the Kinsman Group quickly overcame its crisis and became the third most
powerful company in the world in just five years. With its market value increased by dozens of times, it
had become a real business empire with a hundred years of history.
Half a step behind him was Gianna, another person who Olivia hadn’t seen for five years.
Gianna looked particularly eye-catching in her high-end custom black dress. Her delicate face was full
of sadness as she followed behind him. It seemed that she had been living well for the past five years.
Olivia walked past them without even looking at William.
However, she glared at Gianna from behind her sungla**es.
She sneered.
Right at this moment, Gianna was fantasizing about her wonderful life after marrying William.
The reason was that she had sent the little bas t ard Lucian to his death today, on the very same day
that Olivia and that old man had died. She was ecstatic just thinking about it.
However, the moment Olivia walked past her, she felt a strong sense of crisis.
She had never seen such a beautiful and aloof woman before, so she couldn’t help looking at her
jealously. She felt uneasy, but she didn’t know where such a feeling came from.
Then, when she arrived at old Mr. Kinsman’s grave, she saw the fresh lilies lying in front of the
tombstone.
William, with his figure standing tall and straight in the wind, frowned when he saw the lilies. “Who was
here?”
In an instant, Gianna thought of the mysterious woman just now.
She turned around but the woman had long since vanished.
“What’s that woman’s relationship with the Kinsman?
“Why is she paying her respects to this old man?
“No, I must be overthinking this. Those in my way are long dead. They can only look up to me from hell
below. They can’t threaten me in the slightest,” she thought.
Marshall Foster also discovered that something was wrong.
He looked around nervously and found that his boss’s child was no longer following him. He
immediately reported it to William. “Mr. Lucian is

missing, sir.”
William stopped in his tracks. His face was ice-cold as he swept his gaze over the crowd. “What’s going
on?”
“He was with us just now. It’s my fault. I should’ve kept a better eye on him…”
Gianna knew where the little ba stard was, but she feigned a worried look as if she had just discovered
that the kid was missing. She appeared so flustered and anxious that even her eyes turned red.
She pretended to look around. “He was here just now. How did he disappear in the blink of an eye?”
William ordered in a cold voice, “Find him now!” Content © provided by NôvelDrama.Org.
“Yes, sir!”
When Olivia reached the foot of the mountain, she looked back with cold eyes.
She didn’t expect that William would bring Gianna, the murderer, to pay respects to Grandpa on his
death anniversary.
It seemed that Gianna had gotten too comfortable without her around. How dare Gianna disturb
Grandpa’s peace and quiet!
However, Gianna wouldn’t be laughing for long.
She would make it so that Gianna kneel in front of her and plead for mercy!
Just as Olivia was about to get in the car, she heard a faint cry for help.
“Hic! Hic! Save me…”
Olivia’s sharp gaze swept toward the source of the sound and saw a little boy covered in bruises lying
at the foot of the cemetery.
With a grim expression, she made a prompt decision. “Save the kid!”
Gideon leaped into action and quickly returned with the child in his arms. “Boss, I think he slipped and
fell off a cliff!”
Upon hearing this, Olivia quickly arranged for Gideon to put the child in the back seat of the car. She
got in the car and examined the child herself.
The boy’s face was covered with blood, making it impossible to tell his true appearance. His black suit
was also soaked with blood. His breathing was labored, and his forehead was sweating from the pain.
He didn’t dare to move in the slightest.
The boy was seriously injured, with multiple fractures and soft tissue trauma. He would have died if it
weren’t for the branches cus hio ning his
fall.
Fortunately, his org ans were fine. But most importantly, this boy was lucky enough to meet her.
Even though the boy was in great pain, he couldn’t help showing a frightened expression. He grabbed
Olivia and refused to let go. “I’m scared… Save me, Mommy…”
His pitiful pleading and fragile expression broke Olivia’s heart in an instant.
“Contact Reed right now! We’re going to the hospital,” she immediately said.
“Got it!”
However, the boy wasn’t carrying any ID on him.
“Don’t be scared, baby. Can you tell me where your mom is? Do you know how to contact her?” she
asked, speaking softly for fear of hurting
him.
Lucian was on the verge of death and couldn’t speak at all. Still, he clutched her clothes with little
blood-stained hands and stubbornly endured the pain without saying anything.
His eyes, like those of a small animal, were full of tears.
For some reason, Olivia felt an inexplicable pain in her heart. She held the boy in her arms and said,
“Good boy, don’t be scared. I’ll take you to the hospital first. I’ll help you find your mom later…”
“Don’t sleep! Open your eyes and stay awake!”
When they arrived at the hospital, they sent the boy straight to the operating room. His life was soon
out of danger.
Olivia never left his ward.
This boy was the same age as her children, and this distressed her for some reason.
He reminded her of the child that William took from her. Needless to say, her child must have had a
hard time with Gianna around.
“Miss Clarke?”
12:38
Suddenly, someone called out to her.
Olivia came back to her senses. Gideon had come to report the situation but was hesitant to speak.
Eventually, he said, “Miss Clarke, Mr. Ezra… has run away again.”
Olivia’s head snapped up. “Where did he go?”
“He followed us back here, but we’ve lost track of his location. He told you not to worry and that he
won’t do anything bad. He just wants to come back and find his dad. Once he finds his dad and helps
you vent your anger, he’ll be back obediently.”
“Looking for his dad?!” Olivia thought.
She would never allow William to know that Ezra and Vivienne existed.
Least of all put this little boy in danger!
“Got it. I’ll take care of this.”
“Brat, you’re asking for trouble!” Olivia thought.
She had decided to send Ezra back in person. She sat on the couch with one slender leg atop the
other, turned on her ultra-thin laptop, and began looking for Ezra’s whereabouts.
