Mirabella's lips curled into a slight smirk as she glanced coolly at Jules. "Apologize to whom?"

Her gaze didn't carry any real threat, yet Jules felt an inexplicable shiver run down his spine, stronger than when he faced an enraged Austin. Startled by his own reaction, Jules furrowed his brows. Was he really this rattled by a young girl's stare?

Regaining his composure, Jules repeated, "Your aunt."

"Oh." Mirabella flicked her fingers in the air casually. "So, you're asking me to apologize to someone who's as good as dead?"

Not only did she refuse to acknowledge Kitty as her aunt, but she also likened her to a corpse. Jules shot a quick glance at Kitty, whose face had turned completely dark, and pressed his temples in silent frustration. Jules shook his head, deciding not to push the matter further. If some folks were ungrateful, why should he waste his breath?

Pausing, Kitty's voice grew even sharper: "Don't doubt what I say. I have the means to make sure you're unwelcome not just in Riverdale, but that your family can't stand in Ashford either."

The Blake family's reach was vast, not to mention the Cunninghams, who had assets nationwide and countless connections. Dealing with an ordinary family was as easy as squashing a bug.

Mirabella stayed calm, pondering for a moment before pulling out her phone to dial a number. Kitty assumed she was calling Delilah to whine and scoffed at the childish tactic. After all, she herself was a living example of being cast out and forever unwelcome in the Cunningham family.
