Chapter 1910
However, Frank was not interested in Phoenix at all.
After all, Helen Lane and Vicky Turnbull were both top beauties in Draconia.
Even if Phoenix had the looks and the figure, she still dulled in comparison to those two, and there was a considerable gap between them.
Frank was certainly not crazy enough to stoop to second best, not to mention that there were plenty of other beauties.
In fact, Kat Yego had once complained that Frank only ever made the acquaintance of the beautiful, and the ones closest to him were beautiful too. As such, would he even miss Phoenix?
Frank felt misunderstood and amused at once, but in just ten seconds, his smile stiffened when someone rang his doorbell.
As Frank opened the door, he realized that it was none other than Phoenix herself, dressed in a purple gown with a plunging neckline and a slit that revealed her black thigh highs.
Her wavy long hair, smile, and exquisite makeup left his heart skipping a beat.
"Shit!"
Frank was smiling, but his heart sank-could Phoenix have become interested in him?!
After all, she was a gorgeous beauty coming on to him, completely unlike the haughty Cloudnine Sect apprentice whom he had met just yesterday.
"I'm surprised you're so famous here in Zamri," she said as she boldly strode inside Frank's room, looking around while hiding a smile. "But despite your reputation, you're staying in a hotel. That's just so..."
"Ahem."
Frank stared at her as she quickly made herself at home, asking awkwardly, "May I ask why you're visiting, Ms. Ardron?"
"Oh, right..."
Phoenix was taken aback but soon beamed. "I just happened to pass by and wanted to thank you in person, as well as apologize for being impolite yesterday."
"Ahem..."
Frank almost choked on his drink right then.
Just happened to pass by? And how would she have known that he was staying here if she did not go out of her way to check?
Also, a personal apology, she said...
Inhaling deeply, Frank flashed a
smile. "That's very nice of you, Ms. Ardron However, the reason I gave you the Martial Alliance's
recommendation is just as I've told you before."
Pausing, he pointed at the hotel, "As you can see, I'm having financial difficulties, which is why I'm staying here. I've been planning to move, which was why I asked for a reward.
I really have no other intentiward.

Phoenix thought about it and grinned. "Actually, I have several mansions down at Hoxton. If you're interested, you can move in..."
Then, realizing that she had
misspoken, Phoenix quickly
corrected herself. "I mean, I can give
you a mansion for free if you move to Hoxton. And I promise that it's way more comfortable there
"Well, damn."

Since Phoenix had put it that way, Frank realized that his offer to give her the Martial Alliance's recommendation was a lack of consideration on his part.
After all, Phoenix was now clearly interested in him.
Still, he cleared his throat awkwardly despite Phoenix's hopeful stare, shaking his head. "Apologies, Ms. Ardron. I'm used to Zamri, and other places wouldn't suit me, so..."
"That's fine."
Phoenix smiled faintly. "I happen to like Zamri myself, and I'd like to buy a mansion here. You can move in after that... How about that?"
