Soon, Brenda, the pudgy woman, saw Frank leave the cottage and promptly snapped, "You! Those two women with you were your friends, weren't they?! My father ate their cooking and had a heart attack! You must answer this!"

Frank was even more puzzled. "The ambulance arrived in minutes. How could he be dead? Stop spreading lies!"

Brenda snorted. "He's in the ICU! It's just a matter of time."

What the hell? So after all that hollering, the old man was not even dead?! And what was she doing here instead of staying by that geezer's side?!

Brenda continued her hysterics nonetheless. "I don't care. You will all take responsibility for this, or I will make you!"

One of the rubberneckers strode up, having had enough. "Can you stop already? The old man is still alive-can't this wait until he's saved? Moreover, many of us ate that same plate of meat-and we're all fine!"

Everyone agreed, only for Brenda to shriek, "Quit trying to distort the facts! You're all either young or healthy, and that's not the case for my father, is it?!

"Also, that pulled pork was so terrible that they must have put some weird condiments in it. It definitely triggered some sort of condition and caused that heart attack!" noveldrama

"Aren't you just blabbering without evidence?" Jada strode out snapping, as Brenda's antics had woken her up too.

Jada shook her head right then. "Don't bother. Let's take this to court

Brenda was furious. "You people are at fault, and you think you're in the right?!"

Everyone laughed at her words. "Think before you speak, woman! You have no evidence, and you're accusing them of being at fault?"

Brenda snapped, "That's none of your business! What, are you trying to play the hero here?!"

She strode toward the crowd, ready to hit the man who had just mocked her.

Jada was not about to let it slide and leapt up, seizing Brenda by the wrist.

"If you said that this is none of his business, then why are you attacking him? How despicable can you get?"

Brenda struggled violently but could not free himself at all, and she snapped, "You want a piece of me?!"
