Now that she had help, even Brenda's tone turned tough. "What's wrong? Cat got your tongue? Y'all were quite cocky earlier, no?"

Frank strode up. "Kid, before we actually get started, let me make one thing clear —your father had a heart attack, but it's none of our business. Your sister is being punished for her own misdeeds, and everyone here can testify to that."

"So what?" Archie shrugged.

Frank smirked. "So you're refusing to listen to reason?"

Archie gave him a huge thumbs-up. "Not bad. You actually read my mind!"

Frank nodded silently, knowing that words were pointless now.

"What are you doing?!" Laura snapped. "Are you going to start a fight in a hospital?!"

Archie was not worried about her at all and snapped, "Who do you think you are?! Get out of here already, or you'll get it from me too!"

Laura was left fuming. "I tried! I'm calling security!"

She whipped out her phone right then, and Archie hurried toward her, ready to snatch it away.

Frank moved as well, but that was when someone else entered, and Archie was suddenly sycophantic. "Mr. Frankton!"

Everyone turned, and Frank recognized the youth's face—it was Cade Frankton, the youth who was going to lodge at the dame's cottage.

He was visiting a patient when he heard a familiar voice and stopped to listen.

Soon, he realized that there was going to be a fight, with the man who had saved him on one end and the goon of his goon on the other.

Cade quickly reasoned, both out of gratitude toward Frank and for Archie's sake.

However, Archie refused to leave or listen to reason, as he was bent on attacking Frank!

"I'd like to leave, but look what he did to my sister!" he bellowed. "Do you think a real man would leave in this situation?!"

Cade smirked. "I'm sure I don't have to tell you what your sister is like. People like her deserve a beating and then some!"

While Archie hung his head since he could not afford to challenge Cade, Brenda had no idea who Cade was.

Angered by Cade's insult, she snapped, "Who do you think you are?! You have no right to insult me!"

"Who do I think I am?"

Cade was already annoyed by Archie's stubbornness, and Brenda's outburst left him livid.

In all likelihood, this whole confrontation must have escalated to this state because of Brenda.

With that in mind, Cade strode up and slapped her across the face!

"This gentleman is nice enough to not hit a woman, but that's not the case for me!" he snapped.

Seeing that, Archie's goons were ready to charge forward and attack, but Archie barked at them, "Stop!"

Then, he turned back to Cade. "Are you really not going to help me, sir?"

"I would like to, but for what?" Cade snorted. Do you think of yourself as the king of the mountain, abusing others as you like? I'm warning you if you keep pushing it, no one can save you, let alone me."

Archie smirked despite not understanding Cade's words. "Fine, whatever. You're the best, so turn your back all you want! You're cutting me off, so what about it?!"
