The Great Medical Saint

As Matthew finished his sentence, he started making his way toward Darius.

Darius was scared out of his wits. He grabbed Karina and kept retreating. "Y-You can't kill me! I'm Karina's husband and part of the Fields family—"

Just then, Darius pushed Karina toward Matthew, who unleashed his Pulverizer Fist on her throat without mercy.

Karina's throat snapped. She clutched her neck and fell to the floor.

Matthew wanted to chase after Darius, but four cars came driving toward him. He frowned as he had no idea who these newcomers were.

Worried about Tony's safety, Matthew gave up the idea of pursuing Darius.

Soon after, four cars pulled over at the curb. A group of people got out of the car and stomped toward the burial site.

Matthew moved Tony behind him and sized up the newcomers. Using the headlights, he spotted some people he knew-Marilyn and Gunnar.

Tony picked them out as well and whispered to Matthew, "They might be after Vital Restorative Remedies as well. What do we do? Should we just make a run for it?"

Matthew softly comforted, "Relax. I'm here."

Tony was more worried now. "I know you can defend yourself, but there are too many people this time."

The group had about a dozen or so people, and they were all running toward Matthew and Tony under the glow of the headlights. It looked like a stampede of rhinos charging at them with the ground rumbling. The scene was pretty intense.

Matthew muttered, "I might go on a killing spree today. You should brace yourself."

Tony had just witnessed what Matthew was capable of earlier and was shaken up by it.

Hearing about the impending killing, Tony felt a little scared and took a step back, distancing himself from Matthew.

Marilyn was bewildered by the sight of Matthew and Tony, so she turned to Gunnar. "Darius and Karina are no longer around. Did they grab the book?"

Gunnar's eyes flickered. "Relax. We just need to follow our plan. Even if we can't get the medical book, we just need to abduct Mr. Tony."

They stopped about ten feet away from Matthew and Tony. Marilyn started, "Did you give the medical book to Darius, Uncle Tony?"

Marilyn asked that because Darius had always been Tony's favorite. He even taught Darius his medical skills in private.

Back then, Marilyn felt Darius was unfortunate because Darius was always forced by Tony to study complicated traditional medicine. But now, she had a different perspective. After all, that medical book was so invaluable. She even started to envy Darius.

Tony snapped, "All of you are heartless wretches. I don't even have Vital Restorative Remedies with me. Even if I did, I wouldn't give it to any of you."

Marilyn scrunched her face because she had never been insulted so harshly before. She turned to Gunnar and said, "No time to waste. We need to take him away before the local authorities find out about it, or else we'll be in big trouble."

Gunnar nodded and instructed his men, "Get moving. Kill the young man and keep the old one alive. Hurry up!"

He never bothered speaking to Matthew the entire time because he didn't take Matthew seriously. With all these people, he believed that dealing with Matthew would be a breeze.

Upon hearing the command, a dozen or so burly men charged at Matthew in unison. Under the headlights, the disorganized group rushed forward, their shadows scattering everywhere.

The two guys charging in the front were about to reach Matthew, ready to swing their fists. Suddenly, they tripped over the corpses on the ground and fell flat at his feet.
