The guardian's sword

Chapter 2392

Chapter 2392

Cynthia was dispirited and only lifelessly greeted Sean when he came in.

Sean did not take it seriously. He only walked up to Cynthia and reached out to remove the mask from

her face.

There was a flicker of struggle in Cynthia's eyes as if she was afraid that removing the mask would kill

her.

"How can I help you if you don't remove this mask?” Sean said with a smile.

Cynthia stopped struggling and let Sean take off her mask. © NôvelDrama.Org - All rights reserved.

Cynthia's face was covered with wounds. Although they were not deep, it was unsightly.

These wounds would still leave disfiguring scars. The dense scarring and the hospitals’ standard work

could not fully heal those scars.

Sean touched a wound on Cynthia's face. Feeling the pain and warmth coming from her face, Cynthia's

eyes glimmered slightly for some reason.

"It's not a big problem. I'll write you a prescription later, and you can take it and apply it as prescribed.

"When the wounds heal, come to me at Optimus Clinic or Optimus Security Services, and I'll make sure

you look just like you did before.”

Cynthia heard Sean's voice.

Hearing Sean's words, Cynthia's eyes were finally no longer as gloomy as before. They now had a

different glow.

Appearances were important to all women.

Even though the Winters family had instilled in

Cynthia's mind since childhood that Millie mattered the most, she still could not avoid caring about her

appearance.

“Thank... Thank you..."

Cynthia thanked Sean with some difficulty. She spoke with a trace of difficulty as if she had never said

those words.

Sean patted her head and said with a smile, "Don't mention it.”

Then, Sean sat down at his desk, picked up a pencil, and began writing on a piece of paper.

Cynthia sat blankly in her chair with twinkling eyes and did nothing.

After some time, Sean handed the paper to Cynthia and said with a smile, "If you don't want people to

see you like this, you may need the mask for a while longer.”

Cynthia took the paper and put the mask back on her face.

"Cheer up. Everything will pass.

"It's refreshing when you wear this mask.

"Anyone who wants to pester Ms. Winters will be frightened off at the sight of you.” Sean said with a

smile.

Laughter gleamed in Cynthia's eyes when she heard Sean's joke.

However, she had forgotten how to smile after keeping a straight face for years.

When Cynthia looked up, Sean had already left the study.

"Mr. Lennon, have you treated Cynthia?

"It's not something that will happen overnight, and I've spoken to Cynthia about that."

Outside, Fabian's concerned voice and Sean's lazy voice made Cynthia beam beneath her mask.

"I have to go. You can pay me 50 million after Cynthia recovers!”

Sean's voice rang again. Then, the sound of a car engine starting rang.

Cynthia knew Sean had left.

Just then, Fabian entered the study.

"Dad..."

"Okay, cheer up. Didn't Mr. Lennon say it’s going to be fine?"

Fabian smiled as he patted Cynthia on the shoulder and said softly.

There was a soft glow in Fabian’s eyes as he looked at his adopted daughter, who looked weak but

had always acted as strong as a boy.
