The Hidden Gold Mine Heiress Divorcee

Chapter 298

Chapter 298

Chapter 298 Five Years Ago 14

“I want to be with you,” Ziana insisted.

Standing in the rain, she was pale and pathetic, but her eyes showed she was persistent.

Boris winked at the mercenary. The mercenary turned to climb up a tree nearby.

Boris looked at Ziana. Before she said anything, he pulled her into his arms and kissed her with passion.

The rain was cold, but Boris’ lips were hot.

The kiss was so domineering that it almost took all her breath away.

When Ziana was out of breath, Boris let go of her. He gasped and said, “Be obedient.”

Ziana shook her head and whimpered, “Don’t leave me alone.”

“I won’t. Climb up first.” Boris paid attention to the gunshots behind him. “There is no time. Be obedient.”

Ziana fixed her red eyes on Boris. “You said you would agree to my requests because I saved you. Do you remember?”

Boris didn’t expect Ziana to mention that and said coaxingly, “Yes, I agree.”

“I want you to be alive.”

“I will.”

“Okay.” Ziana gritted her teeth. “Boris, if you dare to lie to me, I will never forgive you. I will like another man to make you angry.”

After Ziana said that, she wiped her face and didn’t insist anymore. Then, she turned around and climbed up the tree.

Ziana was concealed by branches and leaves and didn’t stop. Seeing that, Boris endured the pain and continued to run forward.

He cannot be found there.

He wanted to run further.

However, Boris’ wound and great pain made him far less energetic than usual. He had tried to hold on in front of

Ziana. How could he run a long distance?

Those people flanked him and caught him soon.

Kasen stepped forward and hit Boris’ head with the Gatlin on his shoulder.

Boris had a splitting headache and panted silently with his mouth open. At the same time, he heard vicious curses.

“Can you keep running? Don’t struggle. It’s useless. Where can you run now?

“Did you hide your woman? Where is she?

“You can meet each other in hell. Tell me where she is.”

Boris closed his eyes and said nothing, which irritated Kasen. He screamed, “Tie him up!”

Several men dragged Boris and tied his hands and feet to the tree.

Kaşen took out his dagger and laughed horribly. “You have to pay the price of playing tricks on me. One of your eyes is blind. I don’t mind making the other one blind. Since you don’t tell me, I want to see how tough you are.”

Kasen threw the dagger to the burly man beside him and ordered viciously, “Cut out his other eye. I don’t believe that woman won’t come out.”

Boris laughed softly.

Kasen was furious and said fiercely, “Do it!”

The burly man must have done that many times.

He stabbed the sharp dagger into Boris’ eye. There was a mu ffled sound. In the heavy rain, it could hardly be heard.

Boris endured the pain stubbornly and didn’t make a sound.

He felt the warmth in his body disappear gradually. And he became unconscious.

Boom!

Suddenly, a gunshot rang out, followed by a dense hail of bullets, and there was no time for anyone to react.

Kasen yelled, “Da mn it. Fight with them.”

Then, strife started.

Ziana hid in the tree and was terrified when she heard the sounds.

When everything returned to calm, Ziana found Boris. A chill shiver rippled over her skin.

“Boris.”

Ziana rushed over to hug him. She was so sad that she couldn’t make a sound, but her tears trickled down her cheeks.

“Don’t be afraid.” Boris heard Ziana saying, “It’s going to be Okay. I won’t let anything happen to you.”

When Boris came round, he didn’t know how long it had been. He heard someone talking beside him.

“Do you want to eat something?” a man asked gently.

Boris frowned and wondered whether the man was asking him.

Boris tried to figure out who the man was but failed.

He felt someone holding his hand, and the feeling was familiar. It was Ziana.

Boris moved his fingers, and the woman said with joy, “Boris? Are you awake?”

It was Ziana’s voice. It was the same as before, yet different.

Boris tried to open his mouth, but his throat was dry, and his voice was (hoa rse). “Honey.”

Ziana said in a choked voice, “I’m here. It’s Okay. We’re safe. Do you want to drink some water?”

“I am thirsty,” Boris said.

Ziana said, “I’ll get you some water.”

“I will do it,” the man said. “Stay here with him. He needs your company now.”

Ziana didn’t refuse because she didn’t want to leave Boris.

The man came back with water. Ziana fed Boris with a spoon and wiped his mouth when he needed no more.

“Do you still feel painful?” Ziana asked.

Boris shook his head. “No.”

“We’re still on a yacht. When we get back to Scope Island, I’ll detoxify you. Ziana grabbed Boris’ hand and put it on

her face.

Boris thought Ziana’s eyes must be red because he had heard the choking in her voice.

It was a pity that he couldn’t see her.

“Don’t cry.” Boris groped to hug Ziana, patting her back lightly. “I did what I had promised you.”

Boris promised Ziana to be alive.

Ziana tried to hold back her tears, but they poured down her face.

She buried her face in front of Boris and bit her lip. “Well, I know you won’t lie to me.”

“I have never lied to you.”

Then, Ziana told Boris what happened after he fainted.

Ziana was escorted to the pier and saw the yacht. Therefore, they were rescued.

“This gentleman is Edison Andrew. He took the chance of his graduation trip to come here to find his relatives and just happened to meet us. Now we are on the way back to Scope Island.” Ziana compressed her lips and told Boris, “I

have gotten in touch with Yudel and Dad, and they have sent people here.

“We’re safe.” Ziana paused and gritted her teeth before she continued, “Those people will pay the price.”

Boris was awake for a short period and relapsed into a coma again.

Fortunately, they returned to Scope Island the next day.

As Boris and Ziana’s savior, Edison was invited by the Scott family to the castle. They wanted to express their

gratitude.

The Scott family mobilized all the medical resources to treat Boris.

Everyone found that Ziana was different.

The whole family was distressed about what had happened to Ziana, but she had been calm since she went home.

Ziana was no longer lively and cheerful. She became quiet.

When the family members talked to her, she was always distracted. She answered briefly after others talked to her for a long time.

Most of the time, she was in a daze. Only when Boris was mentioned, she was energetic and caring.

She had no appetite. She had always been a light eater. After coming home, she only had a few grains of rice every day.

If she ate something more, she would vomit after a while.

At first, the Scotts thought Ziana was pregnant, so they asked a doctor to check her. However, it turned out that was

not true.

“It might be depression.” The doctor couldn’t be sure. “Pay close attention to her physical condition and persuade her to cooperate with treatment as soon as possible. If depression developed, the patient might choose to commit

suicide.”

The Scotts found that Ziana had lost a lot of hair and even committed self-mutilation.

That was what Nancy saw.

Since that happened to Ziana, Nancy no longer went to parties and stayed with Ziana every day.

One morning, Nancy prepared breakfast for Ziana. When Nancy went upstairs to call Ziana, she smelled a strange smell.

It was like the smell of roasting skin.

When Nancy rushed into Ziana’s room, she found Ziana’s right leg burned, but Ziana was expressionless.

Nancy felt she had been struck by lightning and cried for a long time with Ziana in her arms.

Ziana said something over and over again.

“Mommy, I harmed him.

“He became what he is now because of me. Mommy, I want him to get better.

“Mommy, can you help him? I don’t know what to do to his eyes.”

Nancy would do anything for Ziana.

Nancy comforted Ziana for a long time and said she would make Boris’ eyes be healed.

Nancy conveyed Ziana’s words to the Scotts.

Luke thought for a moment. “Two years ago, there was a successful eyeball transplantation in a research institute. The institute has had five successful cases in the past two years. I can contact them and send Boris there.”

“Is the success rate high?”

“Eighty percent,” Luke replied. “It also depends on many factors, but we can have a try.”

What happened to Boris affected Ziana, and Ziana’s mood affected the Scott family. Therefore, it was decided.

The Scott family didn’t tell Ziana about it until they got a reply.

Ziana was in a slump, unable to get excited about anything.

In front of Boris, she was the same as before.

Ziana kept talking with Boris and asked him to sing for her before she fell asleep. She became clingier.

She prepared many gifts and even moved to Boris’ room to sleep with him.

Boris couldn’t see, so he didn’t know Ziana’s situation. He could only feel her emotions in her voice.

Ziana was smart and good at disguising herself.

Boris had never noticed anything wrong with Ziana and was even secretly happy that the incident did not cast a shadow over Ziana.

One day, Luke came to Boris and told him that Ziana was suffering from depression.

Luke told Boris about Ziana’s self-mutilation. As Luke expected, he saw Boris’ hands clenched into fists.

“Moreover, you were diagnosed with PTSD.” Luke touched his cane and said in a calm and cruel tone. “The experience

has had a great impact on Ziana. She is too young to bear it. The psychologist suggested that the best way is hypnosis.”

Boris compressed his lips, “Can hypnosis cure her?”

“If she forgets what had happened, she will not be tortured by the memory.” Luke reminded Boris, “She will also forget you.”

Boris understood. He rubbed his hands. “That is why you are here.”

“That’s right. You should know her feelings for you. She thinks that all you have suffered is because of her. She has complicated feelings for you. If she knows hypnosis would make her forget you, she won’t accept it.”

“Do you want me to say that?” Boris asked straightforwardly.

“Yes.” Luke put the cane on the ground. “If you try to persuade her, she will listen to you.”

“Will she forget me?”

“Yes.” Luke added, “She will not remember you, the days with you, and what you have done for her.” NôvelDrama.Org holds text © rights.

Boris laughed softly, “You’re bullying me.”

“But you will agree, won’t you?” Luke said.

How could Boris disagree?

Boris couldn’t bear to see Ziana suffer. How could he see her living in long-term guilt and self-torture because of him?

“I’ll make her say yes.”

“We will heal your eyes. The research institute has approved the application. On the day she is hypnotized, you will be sent abroad.”

Ziana didn’t know about the conversation and only knew that Boris’ condition was worse.

He was unable to sleep at night and often woke up from nightmares.

He began to avoid talking to others. Even though Ziana coaxed Boris, he didn’t want to talk to her.

His spirit seemed to be in tension.

He hated rainy days and became anxious when it rained.

Ziana invited a doctor to examine Boris, and the doctor told her, “It is PTSD. After a traumatic event, the patient will

be in a state of panic and pain for a long time. He couldn’t forget the experience and will repeatedly torment himself

with the experience. The patient might experience psychopathy or have a distorted personality.”

“What should we do?”

“Hypnosis.”

“Will he forget me?”

“Yes.”

When Ziana went to talk about hypnosis with Boris, she dressed beautifully.

As soon as Ziana entered the room, she threw her arms around his waist and rubbed her face against his, and kissed

him.

With a sweet breath, her lips were as soft as ever.

Boris sucked her tremblingly because he knew what she was going to say.

Ziana tried to be clingy. If Boris didn’t know her situation, he would think she was still the same as before.

However, she was not.

Ziana was sick.

Since she was sick, she had to see the doctor.

Ziana should be in good health. How could Boris allow her to lose her smile and be unhappy because of him?

He felt sorry for her.

Boris remained calm and listened to Ziana cooperatively. He knew they would be parted after the talk, so he cherished

it.

Ziana mentioned many things and what happened between them.

Bit by bit, memories came back to them.

It turned out that Ziana remembered that clearly.

It turned out that Boris was not the only one who remembered that.

Finally, she held his hand and said softly, “Boris, you are sick. Do you know that?”

Boris nodded. “I know. They said I got PTSD.”

“They say that hypnosis can heal you.” Ziana scratched his palm. “How about accepting hypnosis?”

“I will forget you,” Boris said the lines he had prepared for a long time. “I don’t want to.”

“You have to be obedient.”

Ziana said a lot to persuade Boris. Her voice was softer and sweeter, which made him even more reluctant to part with

her.

Could they have another chance to attach to each other?

“Do you remember you promised me to do anything when I saved you?” Ziana said.

Boris wrapped Ziana’s hand with his. “Yes, but I have done what I promised you.”

“That doesn’t count. Promise me to go for treatment. Okay?”

Boris kept sent for a long time and finally said, “I will go if you go with me and forget the past.”

After thinking about that for three days, Ziana agreed.

Before being hypnotized, Ziana lay on Boris’ chest and listened to his heartbeats for a long time.

She told him when she left. “I remember your heartbeats and will recognize you next time we meet.”

“Okay.” Boris promised Ziana, “I will accept treatment properly. We will all be fine when we meet next time.”

Luke appeared in Boris’ room the next day and told him, “The hypnosis succeeded. Do you want to see Ziana?”

Boris couldn’t see Ziana and could only hear her voice.
