Chapter 211 Failing to Scare Him but Getting Counterattacked by Him
“Did you lie to me?” Alan Hoyle did not want her to hide anything to keep him from worrying.
Olive Steele rolled her eyes at him and sat up, “Why did I lie to you?”
“Well, are you hungry?” he asked.
“You cook?” Alan Hoyle cooked well but she just was in panic and did not savor when he suddenly appeared at that time.
“Sure, how can I let you cook as you’re sick?” she would love to but he would not. Alan Hoyle took clothes for her and wanted to get her dressed but he could not do it. Olive Steele was not used to the easy life with everything provided and she grumbled, “I’m not a patient.” Nôvel/Dr(a)ma.Org - Content owner.
She just had her period and she had been used to having a dysmenorrhea, which every woman should be used to, but she felt more painful as usual.
“What would you like to eat?” he asked again and rubbed her messy hair.
“I’ll eat whatever you cook and I’m not picky.”
Then Alan Hoyle made a light diet as he learnt online and he could not overindulge her even if she would not like it. His indulgence in her was abstemious and he could indulge her endlessly in a situation that was harmless to her, but by contraries, he would not appease. Olive Steele ate with relish because it was his cooking, it was already midnight and she was hungry as she ate nothing on the plane today. After a while, she was about to wash the dishes when Alan Hoyle pressed her on the sofa and said, “I’ll do it.”
Olive Steele smiled, “Are you trying to be a good man?”
Alan Hoyle arched an eyebrow, which looked exceedingly fascinating and charming, “Am I more attractive?”
Seeing him went into the kitchen, Olive Steele smiled foolishly and she had no interest in the entertainment that was being shown on TV, just thinking of him. The life she lived now was the days she never thought of and it was like a dream when she savored now. After a while Alan Hoyle washed the dishes and came out to see her curled up on the sofa, then he went over and hugged her, “I'm sorry you' re suffering from the pain.”
“I’m okay.”
“So, how many days?”
Olive Steele counted her fingers, “Almost a week.”
Alan Hoyle frowned, “What?”
“It’s bad luck to be a woman.” Actually, her period was only three or four days and she just played him.
He kissed her forehead and comforted her, “No worries, I’m always here for you.”
To be honest, Alan Hoyle had no experience to take care of women but he could do the best for her, as if he had a natural instinct. Sometimes he hated himself that he could not give her the best.
In the study, he received a phone call from his mother who was still mighty, “Alan, you just accompany Olive Steele but disregard the company, what are you doing? Are you going to piss me off?
He did not give in, “Mom, I will not let the company collapse even if without the Meyer family and it’s you who doubt my ability or deny my achievements if you still insist on cooperating with them through
marriage. Mom, I love Olive and she will be my wife even if you don’t accept her but I’ll break off with you.”
Not that he had to threaten his mother, he just hoped that his family could bless him and Olive Steele and he did not want her to be aggrieved in Hoyle family. Olive Steele did not know that he argued with his mother on the call but she clearly knew that Mrs. Hoyle did not like her. Anyway, she did not think it was hopeful to please her, so she never thought to do it and she could not grovel at her.
She slept well in his arms since midnight and felt good in the next morning. Alan Hoyle was still sleeping when she washed out and the corners of his mouth rose slightly as if he had a sweet dream. Then Olive Steele scratched his nose with her strand of hair and he subconsciously waved his hand then turned aside. At this moment, Olive Steele pinched his nose that kept him from breathing and he opened mouth to breath, which was cute. She could not help but laughing and was about to scare him when he pressed her under his body.
She did not expect that she was brought under control and started off on the wrong foot.
