Chapter 340 Returning to the Allegra Family Upstodatee from Novel(D)ra/m/a.O(r)g

Amanda woke up slightly after 10.00AM the next morning. She found herself alone in the bed while Elias was nowhere to be found.

Barely feeling her limbs, she slowly sat up.

Memories of last night caused her cheeks to flush. Jerk really isn’t holding back. He practically drains me out.

She forced her sluggish body out of bed and headed into the bathroom. After washing herself up, she put on one of Elias’ robes and went downstairs.

The sound of waves hitting the shore reached her. It started her morning with a pleasant vibe.

Amanda arrived in the living room, but Elias was still nowhere to be seen. However, the aroma of food emanated from the kitchen.

She walked into the kitchen with questions in her mind. The next moment, she saw Elias’ tall stature cooking something at the cooktop. The aroma caused her to drool.

The sun shone on his side profile, the sight mesmerizing her. The combination was nothing but harmonious.

She had no idea how long she had stared at him. Suddenly, he turned around and

transferred the food to a plate. Seeing her in the kitchen, he frowned. “Why are you standing here? How long have you been awake?”

Amanda snapped out of her trance. “Long enough to watch you cook. What are we eating for breakfast?”

She walked into the kitchen. The mouth-watering food he set on the kitchen island was rich in aroma and flavor.

“There are only two of us. You cooked too much for breakfast.”

“You were exhausted last night. I know you’re spent, so a nutritional supplement is important. Besides, you haven’t had breakfast. You must be starving.”

At that, he picked up two plates and walked toward the dining room. “Help me set the table. The breakfast doesn’t come for free.”

Picking up the bowl of chicken broth without a word, she couldn’t help but take a sniff. It smells good. My stomach is growling.

The pair each took a side of the dining table in the dining room.

“I’m digging in. I’m starving,” Amanda announced. With that, she started eating.

Elias calmly put a bowl of broth in front of her. “Take your time.”

His reminder fell on deaf ears. She was famished, so she was focused on eating.

Compared to Amanda, who had a full stomach, Elias didn’t eat much. To her, it felt good to have her hunger satiated.

After finishing the bowl of soup, she leaned back in her chair and announced, “I’m full.”

“Go get changed. We’re seeing the Allegras.”

“Can I refuse? I want a few days to myself.” Last night’s experience traumatized Amanda. She was against the idea of seeing the idiots from the Allegra Family after having a nice breakfast.

Elias tried to convince her. “Aren’t you curious who the culprit is? Besides, Mr. and Mrs. Allegra are worried about you.”

“Fine.”

A solemn expression fell on her face. Surging to her feet, she left the dining room and headed for the bedroom upstairs.

In the Allegra Villa, Stephanie woke up to the news of Amanda getting found. It struck her hard. I’m doomed.

Amanda won’t let Crispin go. It’ll ruin my image if he exposes me to my parents!

Therefore, she called him over in the early morning.

I’m not taking the blame for him.

“Let me explain, Steph. I didn’t expect things to turn out this way…”

Cold sweat trickled down his forehead at the fact that Amanda managed to escape.

I’m busted! The middleman probably didn’t say a word about me. Therefore, even though the kidnappers fall into Elias’ hands at some point, they won’t rat me out. However, I’m the one who asked Amanda to go with me last night. It’ll raise suspicion. Quick! Think, Crispin! What am I supposed to say if she confronts me later?

Stephanie grew impatient. “Save it. I’m warning you-don’t you dare implicate me if

Amanda comes to see you later. It’s not my business.”

“Don’t worry, Steph. I’ll never say anything about you. Besides, it was never your plan. I did it for you spontaneously.”

At this point, Crispin was still pretending to be a lovesick man. Little did he know, Stephanie was no longer in love with him. All she wanted was to dump him.

She shushed him. “Don’t you dare mention me! I know nothing about this! Nothing at all! Stop talking to me.”

She then dragged him to the living room. Her parents were waiting for Amanda on the couch. They were worried sick about their eldest daughter.

Jack walked back and forth in the living room. He looked like a man who was waiting for his wife outside the delivery room. A question left him as soon as he noticed Crispin in the room. “Why are you here, Crispin?”

I didn’t ask him to come over.

Before Stephanie could speak, Crispin explained, “Mr. Allegra, I couldn’t sleep last night. I was worried about Amanda too. I came over after learning that she was coming back. I need to make sure she’s fine.”

Stephanie watched Crispin. He disgusts me. He has the audacity to say such things, eh? Why did I even fall for him in the first place?

Jack nodded in satisfaction. “That’s nice of you. Elias told us that Amanda is safe. He found her last night. They’re coming back today.” [1]

“Really? That’s good to hear. Steph and I can rest assured.” At that, Crispin held Stephanie’s

hand.

She cast him a smile, but deep down she was rolling her eyes. Crispin Coyote is a fake man to his core. He’s so good at pretending. Did he also pretend to be in love with me before this?

At that moment, the butler came into the living room. “Mr. Jack, Mr. Winters and Miss Bailey are back.”

As soon as he finished the words, a handsome man and a gorgeous woman walked into the living room.

Elias greeted those present. “Hello, Mr. and Mrs. Allegra.”

Amanda opened her mouth, but the words refused to leave her. She couldn’t bring herself to call the couple her parents, so she simply addressed them as Elias had.

However, Jack and Edith couldn’t care less about the way Amanda addressed them. Her well- being was more important to them.

Edith got up from the couch and wrapped Amanda in an embrace. Tears rolled down her cheeks as she said, “I’m glad you’re okay. I was worried about you getting wronged by those people.”

“It’s all my fault. I should’ve assigned a bodyguard to you. I wasn’t expecting that somebody would strike around this time.” Jack’s eyes were reddened by emotions as well. Last night was a terrible night for him.

After all, they lost their daughter once. They would never forgive themselves if they ever lost her again.

Even though Amanda hadn’t felt a sense of belonging in the family so far, she wrapped her arms around her crying mother and consoled, “Don’t worry. I’m fine.”

“Alright.” Edith finally stopped crying. She wiped the tears off her face before holding Amanda’s hands.

Looking around, Amanda noticed Crispin in the corner. How dare he show up after everything? He has no shame at all!
