Chapter 368 Self-harm
Chapter 368 Self-harm
When they arrived at the prison, Crispin took Stephanie to the visiting room. He had to speak to Raymond alone, so the woman couldn’t be present.
“Steph.” He extended his hand to tidy up the woman’s hair, but she shied away as if he was a pervert.
Still, Crispin pulled her into his embrace and said gently, “Wait for me here. I’ll come out quickly.”
“Alright.” This text is © NôvelDrama/.Org.
After Crispin entered the visiting room, Stephanie breathed a sigh of relief.
The man seemed to have turned into a different person after they got the marriage license. He would torture her every day. It had come to a point where she felt she was on the brink of going mad. When will all of this eventually come to an end?
Now, she didn’t even dare to resist or inform anyone about it.
She still hadn’t made heads or tails of what was going on. Crispin used to be her simp, but now, she was terrified of the man.
A while later, Crispin finally left the visiting room and took her hand. “Let’s go home.”
Stephanie let the man take her away like a puppet.
“Be a good girl, Steph. Where do you want to go for our honeymoon after the wedding?”
However, Stephanie only remained silent.
“Say something. Otherwise, I’ll assume that you’re trying to resist. You should understand by now that I’ll stop at nothing to achieve my goal. Despite Crispin’s gentle voice, every word he said was as piercing as a
blade.
A flustered Stephanie replied, “I’m fine with anywhere. It’s up to you.”
“Alright, then. I’ll choose a place you love.”
Stephanie felt suffocated. She wanted to run away from the man, but they were legally married now, so she was unable to do that. What should I do?
In the afternoon, Amanda and Elias took Aiden to watch an animated movie, after which they went for dinner together.
They had promised that they would go out and have fun with the child every week so that he would grow up in a healthy environment. They didn’t want Aiden to feel that he was different from the other kids.
During the meal, Elias fed his son some food before stating, “Stephanie has been acting strangely as of
late.”
“I think so too. She used to be a spoiled princess in front of Crispin back then, but now, she’s more like his obedient wife.”
Amanda was shocked by Stephanie’s transformation over the past few days. Has she become mature suddenly
since the wedding is around the corner?
“The wedding is only five days away.”
The man sounded helpless, for he still hadn’t found the person who framed him. Raymond was determined not to expose anything.
Suddenly, his phone started vibrating. He put down the spoon and looked at his son’s greasy mouth before saying. “I’ll answer the call.”
“Alright.” Aiden nodded obediently and picked up the spoon.
Amanda found him adorable. She pulled out a wet wipe to clean the child’s mouth and stole a glance at the man, who was on the phone.
She noticed a change of expression on his face. It seemed that something had happened.
As such, she couldn’t help but ask, “What’s wrong?”
After the call ended, Elias picked up his coat and looked at her with a frown. “I have to head to the hospital right now. Raymond attempted to harm himself, and he’s on the brink of death now. Go on and finish the food with Aiden. I’ll ask Yacob to send you home.”
With that, he turned around and left.
Aiden watched the man leave and called out, “Come back, Daddy!”
Amanda was rooted to the spot, shocked by what she had just heard. What did he just say? Did Raymond attempt to harm himself?
It wasn’t until Aiden called out to his father again that Amanda came to her senses and hugged her child. “Be a good boy, Aiden. Your daddy has to attend to something. Why don’t I feed you the food?”
Deep within, she was puzzled as to why Raymond would do such a thing, for there wasn’t a reason for himp
to do so.
By the time Elias arrived at the hospital, the doctors had given up on saving Raymond. The man was pronounced dead.
After the light outside the operating room went out, the doctors came out. Elias went over and asked, “How is he?”
“I’m sorry, but we’ve done our best to save the patient. He already lost consciousness from severe bleeding before he was sent to the hospital. There was little we could do to save his life,” a doctor replied and shook. his head, after which he left the place.
The prison officer and Elias fell silent upon hearing that
Why would he harm himself out of nowhere?
Elias turned to look at the prison officer. “Why did he try to harm himself? What did he use?”
“I don’t know the reason either. Miss Allegra and her boyfriend visited Raymond today. After that, he started behaving strangely. In the evening, he somehow obtained a piece of broken glass and injured

himself. By the time we discovered his anomaly, he had already passed out. We immediately sent him to the hospital”
Elias’ expression turned thunderous. Is it Stephanie’s doing? Did she make Raymond end his own life just because she felt it was the most humiliating incident in her life? How did she persuade Raymond to do so, though?
All the clues pointed to Stephanie, for only she had the motive to do such a thing.
Since the wedding was around the corner, Crispin had directly moved into the Allegra Villa. He claimed that he could take better care of Stephanie by living with them, but in truth, he had been torturing the woman every day.
In the bedroom, Crispin lay down on the bed after he was done with the shower. He glanced at the woman on the corner of the bed and murmured, “Steph, come over here. It’s getting late, so we’re supposed to sleep.
Stephanie trembled uncontrollably as she replied, “You can go ahead. I’m not sleepy yet.”
Every waking moment, she had been trying to run away from the man. However, her parents wouldn’t believe her even if she went out there and told them about what she had gone through. After all, Crispin was a master of pretense.
“I said come here. You’re supposed to go to bed now.” All of a sudden, Crispin’s voice turned harsh.
Stephanie froze upon hearing that. Despite her reluctance, she still rose to her feet and approached the man before sneaking under the quilt.
Suddenly, someone was heard knocking on the door from the outside, after which Elias said, “Open the door, Stephanie. I need to talk to you.”
Elias?! Stephanie immediately lifted the quilt and stared fixedly at the door. It was as if her savior was right outside the room.
“Let’s answer the door together.” Crispin had already figured out why Elias was looking for the woman.
The two of them walked toward the door together and opened it. Elias’ towering figure was just outside the room.
When Stephanie registered the man’s presence, tears almost slid down her cheeks.
Hearing the noise, Amanda couldn’t help but approach them. When she saw Elias standing outside Stephanie’s room, she only watched them in silence.
Elias cut to the chase by asking, “Why did you go looking for Raymond today?”
