Chapter 17 Are You Nervous?
"Print them all with the seal!" Conrad pointed at the contracts on the table.
"But it goes against the rules…" Manager Berry tried to negotiate.
"Go against the rules?" Conrad sneered, "Well, I am afraid I need to ask for a refund and please take
back all the certificates and return all my money."
"Okay, I will just have them all sealed!" Manager Berry gave in and started to do it as required.
Though Conrad didn't have his own official seal, he could get one on the app, where he could
customize one with his own name.
Conrad bought five seals with a discounted price of 0.08 yuan only.
Soon, he got them all and threw them in front of Manager Berry. Conrad then said, "Just continue with
your work! I need this lady to show me my building."
"Okay, no problem." Manager Berry agreed and beckoned Amara to serve Conrad well.
"Yes, sir!" Amara nodded seriously as if she were ordered to take over the fate of all human beings.
Conrad then left the sales office while Amara took the keys of all the 92 apartments. She got into the
Lamborghini with him. Obviously, Amara had never got into such a luxurious sports car as she was
quite nervous with both her legs fixed together closed. She sat stiffly, afraid to scratch the car.
"You don't need to be so restrained. Just sit as usual." Conrad smiled.
"Okay." But Amara was still quite nervous.
"So do you take underground?"
"Yes."
"Are you nervous when taking underground?"
"No."
"Come on, my car is even much cheaper than an underground train as it's worth tens of million. Since
you don't even nervous in the underground, why don't you have to be so nervous in my car?"
Upon hearing that, Amara seemed to relax a bit, "Thank you, Mr. Porter."
"You don't need to address me that formally. Just call me by my name." Conrad drove towards the
community, which was not far from the sales office.
"Okay, Mr. Conrad Porter." Amara was still nervous. After all, she just worked as an employee. She felt
much more inferior when facing such a billionaire like Conrad.
Conrad didn't care much about how she was going to address him. He just continued to drive.
Amara looked at the profile of his face quietly. She couldn't help but murmur to herself, "He looks so
attractive just like those superstars. He is so refined and even so elegant. He is so perfect…"
As Conrad was making a turn, he suddenly made an eye contact with Amara, "What's wrong with my
face? Do I have something on it?"
"Oh, nothing." Amara shifted her sight immediately. It was really awkward to be noticed.
They soon arrived at the gate, but they were stopped by the guard as there was no information about
his car in the database. So the guard didn't deem him the resident here.
Since Conrad just bought the whole building on the app, he still needed to go through other procedures
to get access to enter though he officially owned the building.
"This gentleman is the key owner of this community. Please let us in!" Amara got off and said to the
guard.
"Which apartment he owns?"
"The Building No.5!"
"You know there were a lot of apartments in the whole building! I mean which one exactly!" The guard
said impatiently. He seemed to be annoyed by Amara.
"Mr. Porter just bought the whole building!" Amara was quite angry of his bad attitude.
"What? Stop bragging! I even own the whole community!" The guard didn't even believe her words.
"If you don't believe it, just check it! You should have record updated in the computer!" Amara huffed.
The guard typed No. 501 in the computer and saw that the owner was indeed Conrad Porter. He was a Text © owned by NôvelDrama.Org.
bit surprised but he just deemed it a coincidence.
Then he typed No. 702 in and noticed it was still owned by the same person. The guard was flustered
and he typed an apartment number randomly. And all apartments of the Building No. 5 were indeed
owned by Conrad.
The guard was rendered quite nervous and flustered. It was then he finally realized that Amara did tell
the truth. Conrad really owned the whole building and he even dared to stop such an honorable one.
He couldn't help trembling.
Conrad sounded the horn and said, "Just open the gate! I am in a hurry!"
"Okay!" The guard immediately pressed the button to open the gate to let the Lamborghini in. Then the
guard trotted to lead the way for Conrad.
Soon, Conrad arrived at the building. He raised his head high to look at the whole building. He felt quite
unreal as he still lived in the rented shack a few days ago. But now he owed the whole building. He
couldn't just believe he made such a great change himself.
"Mr. Porter, which one would you like to visit first?" Amara carried the bag filled with all keys of the 92
apartments. They could even hear the keys sounding in the bag as she walked.
"It's okay for me. Just start from Apartment 101." Conrad said.
Amara then searched for the key in the bag and opened the door.
