Getting Caught
As Alejandro had predicted, their were guards securing the morgue. Showed that it was true that Ramos killed, Adelina.
Raven and Alejandro approached the morgue entrance cautiously, keeping to the shadows. They could see the guards securing the area, a grim confirmation of their suspicions.
Alejandro whispered to Raven, “We need to find a way to distract the guards so we can get inside.”
Raven nodded in agreement. “Let’s see if we can create a diversion without drawing too much attention.”
The two of them quickly scanned the area, looking for anything that could help them divert the guards’ attention.
They knew that time was running out, and they had to act swiftly to secure Anisa’s mother’s body and the evidence they needed.
Raven spotted a nearby utility shed with a stack of wooden pallets and some tools. She whispered to Alejandro, “I have an idea. Let’s knock over those pallets and make it sound like an accident. The guards might investigate, giving us a chance to slip inside.”
Alejandro nodded in agreement. They approached the shed, and with a gentle push, Raven sent the pallets crashing to the ground with a loud clatter.
The guards turned their attention toward the noise, and one of them said,
“What was that?”
Raven and Alejandro took advantage of the distraction, quickly slipping into the morgue through a side entrance.
Inside the morgue, they moved quietly, their senses on high alert. They needed to locate Anisa’s mother’s body and ensure it wasn’t tampered with.
The evidence they sought was crucial in exposing the truth about her death.
Raven and Alejandro carefully checked the corridors of the morgue, searching for the room where Anisa’s mother’s body might be stored.
They knew that every second counted, and the risk of discovery was high.
Alejandro whispered to Raven,
“We should split up to cover more ground. Check the rooms one by one until we find her.”
Raven nodded and quietly entered the first room she came across. It was a chilling sight as she saw bodies covered in white sheets, each one a life that had come to an end.
Meanwhile, Alejandro continued down the hallway, checking each door, hoping to find the room they sought.
They needed to ensure that Anisa’s mother’s body was still intact and hadn’t been cremated.
Raven carefully approached one of the covered bodies in the room she entered. She gently lifted the sheet, her heart pounding with anxiety, hoping to find Anisa’s mother. But it wasn’t her. She moved to the next covered body and repeated the process. This text is © NôvelDrama/.Org.
Alejandro, down the hallway, had a similar grim task. He checked each room, uncovering bodies one by one, searching for any sign of Adelina, Anisa’s mother. The tension in the morgue was palpable as they moved swiftly and quietly.
Finally, in one of the rooms, Alejandro uncovered a body and recognized it as Adelina as he saw the name tagged on the feet of the body. He breathed a sigh of relief and signaled for Raven to join him.
Raven hurried over, and her eyes filled with a mix of emotions when she saw Adelina’s lifeless form.
They needed to act quickly to secure the body and ensure it would be properly examined.
Alejandro whispered, “We found her.
“With the look of things…. Her body hasn’t been tampered with yet.” Alejandro said.
“But look, Alejandro. Look at the strangled mark on her neck.” Raven said, calling Alejandro’s attention to the mark on Adelina’s neck.
“This explains the video that he strangled her and dumbed her body close to the river to make I look like she committed sucide.” Alejandro said.
“Take a picture of it and send it to Alfredo immediately.” Raven said.
Alejandro snapped the body and sent it to Alfredo.
“This also showed here that there were brusies on her body.” Alejandro said.
“So it means that Ramos before he strangled her, he had been beating her.” Raven said.
“Yes, but that ain’t the cause of her death. This brusies looks old and a bit recent.
So I think she had been suffering from domestic violence from Ramos before he eventually killed her.” Alejandro.
“What a sick fuck!”
“How could he do that to his own wife?” Raven said.
“We need to get out of here before those guards return.” Alejandro said.
Just as they were about to leave, Ramos entered with Anisa held tight by one of the guards.
“Going somewhere?” Ramos said with a sly grin.
Raven immediately deleted the number and message they sent to Alfredo before Ramos men could grab the phone from her and knock her unconscious.
Raven woke up groggily, her head pounding. She found herself in a dimly lit room, her hands tied behind her back.
Anisa was seated across from her, looking equally disoriented.
“Are you okay?” Raven whispered to Anisa.
Anisa nodded, her eyes filled with fear.
“I think they knocked us out and brought us here.”
Raven struggled against her restraints, trying to free herself.
“We need to find a way out of here and rescue Alejandro.”
Just then, the door to the room swung open, and Ramos entered, a cruel smile on his face.
“Welcome back, ladies,” he sneered. “I must say, you’ve been quite the thorn in my side.”
Raven clenched her jaw, refusing to show fear.
“What do you want, Ramos?”
Ramos leaned in close, his breath reeking of arrogance.
“I want to make a deal, Raven. You give me the evidence you have, and I’ll let you and Anisa go free.”
Anisa’s eyes widened in disbelief. “You can’t trust him, Raven!”
Raven shot a defiant look at Ramos. “We’ll never give you the evidence. You’re going down for what you did to Anisa’s mother.”
Ramos chuckled, seemingly unfazed. “Very well, you’ve made your choice. But I have a surprise for you.” He signaled to one of his guards, who dragged Alejandro into the room, his hands bound.
Raven’s heart sank as she saw Alejandro’s bruised face.
“You see, Raven. You and I know that you’ve walked in such lane before and know that I don’t bluff.
So just be a good girl and hand over the evidence that my deceased wife sent to you. The Lord rest her soul.” Ramos said.
“How….. how could you do that to mother, father?” Anisa asked.
He turned to face his daughter who was also bound like Raven.
“You…. see your mother was becoming a thorn in my flesh because she kept poking her hands into something she shouldn’t. So I decided to stop her.” Ramos said, his face showing no remorse.
“So killing her was the only option you had? You’re a monster, father.” Anisa said.
“You see, I can kill anyone who stands in my way. The only reason you’re still alive is because you’ve something that I want and you know that once I get it, there’s no reason to keep you alive.” Ramos said.
“That’s the reason why we’re not telling you shit!” Raven said.
‘I won’t be so sure about that.” Ramos said.
“I have my ways of making people talk and I have just the person I could use to persuade you to talk Raven.” He said as he looked at Alejandro.
Raven clenched her fists, her eyes locked on Ramos. She knew they were in a dangerous situation, and Alejandro’s life hung in the balance.
“You won’t break us, Ramos,” Raven declared, her voice filled with determination.
Alejandro, despite his bruised state, managed to muster a defiant smile. “You won’t get anything from us.”
Ramos chuckled darkly. “We’ll see about that.”
He signaled to his guards, and they began to advance on Alejandro, clearly intending to use force to get what they wanted.
Anisa, her eyes filled with tears, whispered to Raven, “We can’t let them hurt Alejandro. We have to find a way out of this.”
The men began to kick and beat Alejandro which wasn’t a good site to see for Raven and Anisa.
“Stop it father! Stop it you’re killing him!” Anisa yelled.
Ramos waved his hands to signal his men to stop. He walked closer to Raven and spoke.
