Charlie sighed.

He said grimly, "My parents passed away, but I survived."

Then, he asked Jordan, "Do you know anything about the reasons why my parents passed away?"

Jordan shook his head. "Mr. Wade, the news of your mother's death in Oskia was a great shock to the United States' high society. Many claimed that she was murdered, but no one knew who the perpetrator was. It's said that the Acker family has also been investigating her death, but to no avail. Outsiders like us wouldn't know the reasons."

Kathleen also added, "Mr. Wade. After your mother's passing, her peers at Stanford and several Silicon Valley bigwigs who have become top entrepreneurs through her investment have been trying everything to uncover the truth behind her death. Until today, they haven't found any clear clues yet."

Charlie was disappointed to hear that. At first, he thought his parents were murdered by the Schulz family. When he finally found the Schulz family, however, he realized they weren't capable of murdering his parents at all.

After that, he assumed that the Wade family would know the reasons behind his parents' death. However, Jeremiah was just as clueless about the matter.

Recently, he guessed that Jordan might have some insider news. Unfortunately, Jordan was equally clueless.

But what despaired Charlie the most was the fact that his mother's own family didn't know any clues either.

Many of his mother's old friends at Stanford, along with the bigwigs of Silicon Valley that she had invested in, had teamed up to dig out the truth behind her death. Despite that, they failed to unearth any clues. It was absurd!

Charlie felt lost. Now, he didn't know who to look for in order to track down the clues to his parents' death.

Meanwhile, Jordan's eyes were bright with hope.

He thought that he could make use of Charlie's relationship with Keith. Charlie was Keith's grandson, after all. If Charlie could mobilize the strength of the Acker family and help him, it would be easy for him to regain his former power!noveldrama

Charlie flashed Jordan a small smile. "Why are you so sure that I can help?"

Jordan said quickly, "Mr. Wade, you're Keith Acker's grandson. As long as you speak to them, I'm sure they'll help. This isn't hard for them!" Charlie shook her head and said softly," Lord Fox, you're taking this for granted. I've never met the Acker family for twenty years, or even much longer. They don't even know if I'm alive or dead. Why are you so sure that they'll do everything for me?"

Charlie paused before continuing,

"Besides, you and I have just met today. Why do you think I'd beg the Acker family for you? Do you think I'll do it for your twenty percent stake? Weren't you at the auction earlier? If

Jordan's face turned pale upon hearing that. He thought Charlie was capable of helping him, but he had forgotten that it was not Charlie's obligation to help.

With that thought in mind, he smiled self-deprecatingly and sighed. "You're right, Mr. Wade. I'm taking you for granted..."

Kathleen watched, her heat sinking to rock bottom. She finally realized that the little favor she had done for Charlie was already repaid when he gave Jordan half a Healing Pill. How could she demand more help from him?

Chandler sighed and comforted

Jordan," Jordan, I know you hate to

lose, but you should realize that your son's already controlled the whole

Fox family. Their total worth is
