The Man in Power After Being Married into Her Family



Charlie's words led Jordan to an epiphany. He realized he had been overly optimistic about his current predicament.

His son wanted to see him dead overseas. His son thought that the faster he died, the better. What would happen if he defied his son's expectations and continued to live o n? After all, the Healing Pill guaranteed that he wouldn't be dying anytime soon.

She hurriedly asked Charlie, "Mr. Wade, what should Grandpa do now...?"

Charlie replied indifferently, "At a time like this, you shouldn't think of trying to return to your peak. First, you must accept your failures and find a way to survive."

Chandler, too, grew slightly worried. "Mr. Wade, both of them don't have any support: n Aurous Hill. They have Sir Jarvis with them, but if Jordan's son discovers that Jordan is still alive, Jordan won't be able to live in peace. Kathleen's anxiety rose the more she listened. In truth, she didn't mind staying overseas and not returning to the United States. However, things would be bad if her uncle lost patience and tried to kill her grandfather. She was clueless as to how to deal with such circumstances.

And so, Chandler was forced to ask for Charlie's assistance. "Mr. Wade, I fear they will be in a dangerous situation if unprotected. I hope you'll consider their desperation and try to help them. At least, try to think of a foolproof plan for the two of them so that Jordan can live his final days in peace..."

Charlie found Chandler's request rather troublesome, but he was helpless against Chandler's sincere plea. "Master Lennard, I've already booked my itinerary ahead of time, and I'm traveling to the United States with my wife at the end of the month. Even if I leave them in the care of my men in Aurous Hill, I doubt my men can keep them safe if he does come after them."

Once more, Kathleen shoved aside all her pride and got down on her knees again.

Charlie had no plans to get involved with the Fox family's internal affairs. After all, they were beyond his control. He was strong, that was true. However, it was impossible for him to always have the two by his side at all times.

Charlie then added, "The Ten Thousand Armies has begun to build a base in the Middle East. It's unlikely for your family to find you there.
