Chapter 1208
Chapter 1208
"Pull up all the videos of that masked man!"
"Yes, Mr. Yanice." The subordinate immediately pulled up the surveillance videos of the masked man
and played them for Marcus to watch.
"Look, Mr. Yanice. They should be the same person."
"How could this be? Did I make a mistake?" Marcus compared the videos and sat up straight while
trembling. He began to speculate.
After a while, Marcus asked sternly, "Are you sure that the person who was shot and is now in the
hospital is Bruce Everett?"
"I'm 100% sure that the person lying in the hospital now is Bruce Everett."
Marcus's eyes darkened as he said sinisterly, "In that case, someone else broke into Marlowe's house,
right?"
"Mr. Yanice, even if that masked man isn't Bruce Everett, they are definitely a team.
"Anyway, Mr. Marlowe's death was caused by Bruce Everett," Pete said solemnly as he analyzed.
"All right, I understand. All of you can leave now," Marcus said and lay back on the health chair.
He was a little confused now. He felt that this matter was not that simple.
"Bruce Everett must have some secrets."
Bruce drove with his three children toward Ritz Villa.
Davian and Irvin sat in the back seat and looked at Bruce warily. "Um, Mr. Masked Man, where are you
taking us?"
Bruce glanced at the rearview mirror and pretended to be mysterious. "You'll know when we get there!"
"Oh, you aren't a bad person, are you?"
"Humph!" Bruce could not help but snort when he heard this.
These two brats did not inherit his intelligence at all.
"If I were a bad person, would I tell you that I'm a bad person?"
"Oh, that's true!" The two little boys were a little depressed and afraid.
Although this masked man had saved them, they still did not know whether he was a good person.
Twenty minutes later, the car entered Ritz Villa.
"Eh? It looks a little familiar. Where are we?"
"Oh, I remember now. This seems to be Ritz Villa. We've been here before."
"Mr. Masked Man, is our mommy really here?"
"You'll find out later!"
Bruce stopped the car and opened the door to let the three little boys out.
Inside the house, Joanna was about to faint from anxiety. She could get through neither to Darcy nor to
Bruce.
She had a hunch that something must have happened again.
Just as she was burning with anxiety, someone rushed in. "Mrs. Everett, Mr. Everett is back!"
"Really?" After Joanna heard this, she suddenly stood up from the stool and hurriedly walked outward.
Hardly had she walked out of the room when she saw Bruce walking over with Devin in his arms and
Davian and Irvin behind him.
"Joann, look, who are here?"
Upon seeing Joanna, Davian and Irvin immediately ran over. "Oh my god! Mommy! It's really Mommy!"
"Mommy, boohoo!"
"Davian, Irvin!" Tears welled up in Joanna's eyes. She opened her arms and ran toward the two boys.
She ran up to them and hugged them tightly.
After being separated from their mother for a few months, the children thought that they would never
see her again.
"Boohoo, Mommy, where did you go? I thought you didn't want us anymore!"
"That's right. Why haven't you gone back to see us for so long?"
"I'm sorry. It's all my fault!" Joanna was so excited that she could not speak. She just hugged the two
children, crying and laughing.
"Boohoo, Mommy, we are missing you so much..."
"Let me see whether both of you are fine.
"You've grown taller and thinner. Where's your younger brother?"
"He is behind us!"
Bruce placed Devin on the ground. "Boohoo!"
Joanna reluctantly let go of Davian and Irvin and reached out to hug Devin.
"Devin, come here, let me hug you."
Because Devin had been separated from Joanna for so long, he could hardly recognize her. He hid
behind Davian and Irvin. "Boohoo, don't..."
"Devin, it's Mommy. Come over quickly. Let me hug you."
"Devin, this is Mommy. Call her Mommy."
"Mommy..." Devin hesitated for a few seconds before calling out to Joanna in a childish voice.
"Good boy!"
"Let me hug you." Tears streamed down Joanna's face as she carried Devin in her arms.
Devin was the youngest and did not know how to take care of himself, so Joanna cared more about
him.
"Well, I can hardly carry you!" Property © of NôvelDrama.Org.
Seeing this, Bruce hurriedly went forward to support Joanna. "Joann, this brat is heavy. It's better not to
carry him lest you should disturb the fetus."
Joanna glared at him a little angrily. "What's wrong with you? Why didn't you answer the phone when I
was calling you?"
Bruce's eyes flickered. He deliberately played dumb. "Oh, I didn't hear it!"
How could he dare to tell Joanna that something bad had nearly happened to their children?
If he hadn't arrived in time, who knew what would have happened to them?
"Uh, by the way, aren't you going to make dumplings for the children?"
"I've been worried about the children. How would I have the time to make dumplings?" Joanna replied
with lingering fear.
"Mommy, this Mr. Masked Man is Daddy, isn't it?" Davian could not help but ask.
Joanna took a deep breath and said to the children, "Yes, he's your daddy."
When Irvin heard this, he was overjoyed and immediately flattered Bruce. "See! I knew he was Daddy.
"Even though Daddy is wearing a mask, he's still the most handsome man."
