Chapter 23: Meeting With Moxie
Chapter 23: Meeting With Moxie
Dear Diary:
I watched Jared open the curtains, he was so comfortable to stand there in the window naked. I don't
have that kind of confidence. I must admit this kind of life has its perks but I'm mature enough to that I
should put an end to this. For Derek and Jared and of course me but I'm in a world where I don't have
to choose between the two and I can have them both. Why must I give up on such a great life? And the
sex between the three of us is phenomenal.
We showered and when I came out Derek was already dressed. Jared went to class, how can anyone
just carry on like normal? How could he forget that he doesn't belong here?
Derek and I decided to not go to class so we went to a Chinese restaurant. He looked at me with his
sky blue eyes, they have a way of soothing me. I giggled and picked up my spoon and started finished
the last bit of my hot pot but my eyes remained on my main man's.
He already finished his food and cracked a fortune cookie open. He read it and chuckled, then he
looked right into my soul and bit his lower lip. "There are endless possibilities for every decision we
make. So take note. Because not everyone is yours,"
"What do you think that means?"
He shrugged. "Dunno, we're too young for this," he chuckled. "To think that we're only fifteen, there are
still many lessons in life that we're yet to learn,"
I nodded my head. The waitress came and placed the bill down and couldn't stop smiling. "This is so
cute," she said, "I just love seeing two soul mates in love," Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.
I giggled and shook my head. "No, we're in love but we're not soul mates,"
She furrowed her brows and looked at us individually. "Have either of you met your soul mates?"
I raised my hand. The woman sighed and tucked the pen behind her ear. "Then you know how it feels
to be around him, right? It's magical. He's yours and you're his,"
I held both Derek's tiny hands. Mine is bigger than his and I think he's is just so cute. "This is my lover. I
love him and him only,"
She chortled. "You're so young and naive. The universe paired you and your one and only, and the
universe will make sure that the two of you end up together. No matter what, I speak out of personal
experience. You can't cheat your fate,"
Derek cleared his throat like he finally wanted to step into the conversation. "Our love burns stronger
than our fate, we're destined for each other because we'll make it so,"
She nodded her head. "You're both too cute and so wise, is there anything else you need?"
We both shook our heads. I just wanted to leave. I don't have time for strangers to come and tell me
about my love life. Butt out and mind your business. I love Derek a lot and nothing can change that. Not
even Jared.
We went back to the hostels and squeezed in our other subjects. Normally I attend my regular subjects
back on earth because I live there in a town called Crystal Moon. But here I had to go the witch
academy like a local and when that was done it was my magical lessons. Then we had an hour to
ourselves before eight, Kelsey knocked on my door and we made our way over to The Terrible Triplets.
They grabbed their coats and their chauffeur drove us over to Moxie's. She lead us into her dining
room, she had prepared an entire full course meal. We sat down and first just got comfortable with
each other until Ceira cleared her throat and looked right into Moxie's big natural orange eyes.
"Right," Moxie said. "Why are you here?"
I cleared my throat, "I think you granted a wish of mine that brought me here... don't I get three of
those?"
Moxie laughed for a long time and then finally looked at me. "Yeah, the last time I granted a wish was a
few days ago, you wanted to sort out your love problems and here we are,"
"I wanna go home... Moxie, I wanna be with my friends and family where I belong,"
Moxie sighed placed her spoon down on her plate and pushed the plate back. "I'm afraid I can't do that,
you're the only one that can get yourself out. You have to decide between the two and not just make
any decision. You have to make the right decision, even if that means putting your heart aside because
sometimes love makes us do stupid things that aren't good for us,"
"I don't love, Jared though,"
Moxie nodded her head. "I know child. But you never gave him a chance, you're pushing him away
because you're afraid. You love Derek or at least you thought you did, and then Jared came along and
he made you feel a way that Derek never made you feel and you two are yet to hang out one on one. I
get it... It's scary because you don't know the extent that your love can go and you're not ready to dive
in and allow yourself to be fully loved,"
I sighed. "What if he hurts me? As you said, I love Derek but I've never felt what I feel when I'm with
Jared... that's too much power, too much of myself that I could give anyone and what if he hurts me?"
Moxie shrugged. "At some point, you have to put Sindra first. Why do you want to be with Jared? Why
do you want to be with Derek? And how does that turn out for Sindra? When your old wrinkly and your
hair is grey, and you're sitting on your porch watching the sunset and hearing the sound of your
grandkids echoing in the back... who's hand are you holding? Whose hand are you realistically
holding?"
