Chapter 164 An Antisocial Personality
Chapter 164 An Antisocial Personality
In the eyes of the previous female lead, Pearl was a timid and self-abased girl. After she transferred to
another school and they had lost contact.
"Blood for blood. It seemed to imply something. I tried to investigate into it."
The result showed that Pearl had a crash on a man called Clay Hron, who was born in a rich family but
had committed suicide before Daisy's engagement.
Pearl and Clay had some connections.
"I thought it was that the Hron family has mistakenly blamed Pearl for Clay's death."
After Robert finished, Hron waited for Jane's reaction.
Jane rubbed Hron's chin, and then suddenly looked up, "I don't know what the Hron family thinks, but
Clay did commit suicide after seeing Pearl!"
Because Pearl had brought him news which made Clay give up his life.
It was possible that Hron family blamed Pearl because of this.
There was no right or wrong in this matter. It was too coincidental.
"So, the Hron family took revenge on Pearl by sending dead cats and dead dogs, right?"
Jane felt that they should explain to the Hrons.
Clay had killed himself not for Pearl, but for Daisy.
"However, the Hron family had met Daisy before they took revenge on Pearl."
Daisy went to the Hron family to mourn Clay. She first expressed her grievance and then blamed Pearl
for telling Clay of her marriage.
However, Pearl did not marry in the end. Her illegitimate sister, Sophia, married Andrew rather than her.
In other words, Clay had dead for nothing.
"Because of this, the Hron family hated Pearl."
If it wasn't for Pearl, Clay would had remained alive and learnt that Daisy had canceled her marriage.
"Indeed, Pearl had a responsibility in Clay's death. However, this was a suicide, not a murder!"
It was a little unreasonable to put the blame on Pearl.
Clay committed suicide because he felt he had lost Daisy forever. It was he himself chose to die, why
blamed others?
Daisy was also a real bitch. She had played with Clay's affections. She knew that herself.
"Blood for blood. Did the Hron family sent that to threaten Pearl?"
William caught the key point.
"Yes. They wanted to intimidate Pearl and let her condemn herself."
The Hrons was rather honest. When Robert came to them, they told him everything, including Daisy's
provocation.
However, the Hron family said they had only sent dead dogs, but no dismembered cat.
The dog was bought from a pet hospital when it was already dying.
The Hron family didn't want to kill animals. That would be crossing the line for them.
Clay was already dead, no matter what they said or did, he could not revive. The Hron family was
fluent. They were so grieved at they lost of the son that they chose to retaliate.
"Where did the dead cats come from?"
William asked.
Jane also stared at Robert and asked suspiciously, "Could it be Daisy?"
It was not impossible for Daisy to do that.
"No, that's why I called."
Robert took a deep breath and looked more serious.
"It's not a wild cat, but an expensive Ragdoll."
It was beyond everyone's imagination who had dismembered the animals alive.
William was rather indifference to the answer. If it wasn't related to Jane, he would have hung up
already.
Robert was too long-winded. It was not a detective game. Why should they take a guess?
"It's Pearl herself."
Robert followed the clues and found the deliveryman who sent the box. The deliveryman said that
Pearl had paid him a large sum of money, or else he would definitely refuse to send it.
"How could that be?"
Jane could not believe it.
Pearl was frightened by the dismembered cat. Why would she be shocked if it was done by herself?
"The key point is that Pearl is sick."
Robert saw the coldness in William's eyes through the screen. He dared not to elaborate the context
but went directly to the point. Text property © Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org.
After learning the results, Robert had given Pearl a test.
Now, he had the test report in his hand.
Pearl had serious depression. It had aggravated into antisocial personality.
The symptoms included long-lasting incoordination in personality, yet it has not reached the stage of
psychosis.
"Pearl has good intelligence and cognition ability. She shows no symptoms of psychosis. But there are
serious deviations between her emotions, will, and behaviors."
Robert used professional knowledge to explain to Jane that these unconscious actions of Pearl's were
really serious.
This illness mainly relied on psychological treatment, which was exactly the field that Robert was
studying. He intended to take Pearl as his patient.
Of course, Pearl did not know yet.
"I don't know what to say."
Jane had mixed feelings. The external injuries can easily be treated. But the mental injuries would take
a long time to heal.
No matter what others thought, as a friend, Jane supported Pearl.
"If it's possible, let's hide it from her for the time being."
Pearl had done all these unconsciously by far. If she knew, Jane worried that Pearl might never
recover.
After hung up the phone, Jane was still pondering.
"What are you thinking about?"
William sent his son to sleep and hugged Jane. The couple sat on the tatami by the window, drinking
wine.
It was not easy to bring things up the mountain, and they had only brought this bottle of wine.
They had planned to save it for the New Year's Eve, but Jane was in a bad mood, so, William opened it
in advance.
The wind blew outside the window, and in a short while, the rain began to patter on the windowsill.
The pitch-black sky was torn apart, and a bolt of lightning flashed across the sky. After few seconds
came the rumbling thunder.
In this ancient courtyard deep in the mountains, it was a cold rainy night.
Jane put her hand in William's, who gently hold it back.
"William, what will you do if you did not know how to deal with a problem?"
As soon as Jane asked this question, she regretted it.
William once did not know how to deal with the previous female lead. So, he stayed away from her.
"Just let it go."
If one did not know how to solve it, one should not waste the energy to think about it, and time would
give the answer.
Life was profound. Jane hadn't realized that everyone was groping through their own life.
She leaned against William's chest, and the couple snuggled up to watch the rain.
"In the future, I will spend more time with you."
They had married for years. It was the first time that they left City J and traveled together.
William realized that he was not a qualified husband, and he must strike a balance between his career
and family.
After all, one could never earn enough money. So, why not spend more time with the family?
If he said it out, the people around him should be surprised.
