Chapter 1457
Chapter 1457
After breakfast, Molly helped clean up the dishes before going straight to the lounge to sleep.
Not disturbing her, Vaughn watched the cafe alone outside.
Molly woke up at noon, looking lethargic.
Lesley was brewing coffee at the counter. When she saw her, she couldn't help but laugh, "Do you want to drink a cup to perk you up?"
"Sure, thank you, Lesley." Molly accepted it.
"You don't have to speak to me so formally, do you?"
Lesley gave her a playful glare before continuing her work.
Molly took the chance to look around the cafe and saw many customers, but she vaguely felt that something was missing.
Just then, Lesley asked, "By the way, why haven't I seen the bodyguard watching you today? Has Eaton changed his mind because he's guilty of himself?"
Hearing the reminder, Molly finally realized what was wrong.
Indeed! Rhett would usually follow her wherever she went, but he was not close behind her today.
She subconsciously walked outside and looked around, but still couldn't see him.
"What's going on?" Lesley followed her out and curiously asked.
Molly shook her head and said, "I don't know, but this is definitely not because Eaton has changed his mind. Who knows what he's plotting?"
Lesley frowned and said, "People who behave unpredictably like him are so dangerous. You're shit out of luck, girl, being haunted by such a person."
When this was mentioned, Molly's mood turned sour, and even her stomach was affected, causing her some pain.
She knitted her brows and rubbed her belly.
"What's wrong? Are you feeling unwell?" Lesley noticed it and asked with concern.
"My stomach feels a little uncomfortable," Molly nodded and said.
"Then let's eat lunch first and then have coffee, or how could you bear it?"
As she spoke, Lesley asked, "Do you want to take some medicine?"
"Okay." Molly didn't refuse.
Lesley nodded and went to the counter to fumble in the medical kit, but found no stomach medicine.
"Looks like I have to go out and buy it," Lesley sighed helplessly.
Molly said with a smile, "It's okay. I'll go buy it. Just tell me where the pharmacy is."
Lesley was about to say something when hearing Vaughn's voice coming from behind, "Why go to the pharmacy?
What's bothering you?"
Lesley didn't hesitate to talk about Molly's problem. ConTEent bel0ngs to Nôv(e)lD/rama(.)Org .
Vaughn said with furrowed brows, "Is it very uncomfortable? I'll go buy it for you."
Molly didn't want to bother him, but seeing the worry in his eyes, she changed her mind and said, "Thank you, Vaughn."
Vaughn nodded and soon went out.
About twenty minutes later, he came back with not only stomach medicine but also some food.
When he handed them to Molly, he reminded her, "Your stomach discomfort was probably caused by your irregular schedule in the past few days. You can eat something to fill your stomach at night. Don't get hungry or bear the hunger. The next day, you'll feel a little better."
Molly blinked and smiled, "You're really thoughtful, Vaughn. Whoever marries you in the future will be very lucky."
Lesley joked, "That's right. Mr. Shepard is really thoughtful. You're so nice to Molly. Are you trying to win her love? This is forbidden. This lady already has a husband and three adorable kids."
Vaughn chuckled, "I know. Don't worry. I don't have any
ulterior motives."
"That's good," Lesley said, going back to work.
Molly glanced at Vaughn with a slight suspicion.
Could it be... that she was wrong in testing him?
This man was definitely not Sean?
If he was not, why did he have to be so nice to her?
